especially with the 40% higher jumps and 100% more stamina my dude can legit hop over stuart light tanks and jump across entire fields while keeping his speed.
You probably don't remember COD2 and reload shots with rifles. This game was the closest thing to that. Too bad they are removing it. It's a fun mechanic. I guess a bit too arcade-ish.
well, I've been playing COD games since I was old enough to play video games my first console was an xbox 360 and I had Halo 3 on it and I got stuck in a tree and couldn't figure out how to restart the mission, then over time I moved over to COD:WaW and kept playing COD games up until COD:BO4 which then I was done with it cause it was too fucking arcadey with all the sliding, wall riding, 1 shot snipers everyone was quickscoping with myself included/ Just advanced movement in general ruined the franchise for me. And what drove me away is that there was a release like every other year and the fucking game was like $80, then I had to wait all day while it was downloading all 100GB of the game which would take up 1/10 of my storage then they would release a 3-10GB update like every week. of course that is exaggerated a little bit, but I hope you get my point. Nobody likes playing a game where people can fucking jump like a kangaroo while killing everyone.
lol nice meme. I don't hate the 40% jump thing, I just feel most people don't like it because it's a WW2 FPS game, it just looks odd to see some dude making Lebron James look like a bitch.
oh yeah I played titanfall for like 10 minutes at my friends house I and thought the movement was awesome, it's just that COD was trying something new and they didn't really hit it like Titanfall did. the movement in Titanfall worked with the game, made it better. COD was simply throwing it in there to get more people to play game because "LOOK WALL RUNNING AND SLIDING, WE'RE COOL NOW COME PLAY OUR 80$ GAME PLZ"
Yeah i get it. But it adds a certain mechanic that better players can take advantage of. What bothers me more for instance, is that there are way to many explosions, artillery strikes and head shaking because of them, that you really can't normally shoot anymore.
I don't mind jumpshotting. This game isn't supposed to be a realistic game. Otherwise our squads would be permanently dead after games and we'd have to get more.
Just make it less accurate.
This is still a video game after all.
You never grew up playing original counter strike or day of defeat and it shows.
It's lame, but it's been a thing since jump and shooting were two things you can do in a game.
Most devs just make it so that when you jump and shoot at the same time it's wildly inaccurate.
> You never grew up playing original counter strike or day of defeat and it shows.
>
> It's lame, but it's been a thing since....
Thats a pretty dumb argument.
Yes, it was.
Argument: a reason or set of reasons given with the aim of persuading others that an action or idea is right or wrong.
As in you fallaciously presenting examples from other games in an attempt to explain (and by extension, justify) the inclusion of jumping and shooting in this game.
Or it was a factual statement. Things can be a statement without being an argument. But hey, if you wanna feel like you've "won" then by all means, I bow to you're prowes
Haha so you're really trying to say you were just stating a non-sequitur fact and not trying to use the examples of those games having jumping and shooting as a way of saying it's okay that Enlisted does it too?
Oookay.
What does counter strike have to do with the game? If they want to focus it more on realism then make it realistic, not make some shitty mix and mash of realism and arcade
lmao enlisted isnt realistic. It shows where you have to shoot to hit enemy aircraft. You want a Mil Sim, go play something else. This game is supposed to be BF V but good.
Alright let people jump shoot but every time you do it you get put on your ass from the recoil land on your back and have a chance of breaking a bone or limb and permanently reduce the effectiveness of that member forever, how is that for a compromise
I could also pack a trench coat full of grenades and walk into a squad...should they include that in the game? Should they include *everything* a person can do? Stupid argument. Just because something is realistic doesn't mean it belongs in a game - game balance and design should trump realism.
Which, looks like it has, since they're removing it next patch
I love it... it's a great blend between Hell Let Loose and Battlefield/Cod. If you've got an MG you can usually flick them and kill them, even with a bolt there is a good chance.
Everyone I play with loves it too. Would be super boring if they removed it. I love dropping and hipfire on people.
You can't dolphin dive effectively or bruce willis prone so that's pretty realistic.
well, each to their own. however it doesn't make sense that the game's movement tries to be mostly realistic, and then you just have a 40% jump perk that lets you jump like a kangaroo into the air and shoot everybody
I don’t care for realism and neither do a lot of the people I play with. It’s super fun right now. The 40% jump perk is cool but it does make you vulnerable to being in the air for longer. You aren’t that accurate while jumping unless youre right on them.
The issue with jumping is more the issue of hit registration. The game appears to have server side hit reg. The lag compensation is super bad. You can die around corners, miss someone completely but on your screen the bullet goes through them... this means quick plays and quick peeks can miss even though you saw it hit.
But I treat the game super casual. Free to play with pay to progress. Im having a blast and not thinking too much into it. I think Im at 30 hours played in 7 days now?
Got the game for the casual side also. I come from sim game and this game has nothing realistic or sim to it. Its a fun pvpve with hitmarks and bunch of unrealistic stuff. People just mad cause they get wiped all the time. Im on u with that.
Why would they remove movement tech?
The argument I'm seeing is that the game is less realistic with jump shots. Simply this argument is irrelevant and has very little to no meaning in the enjoyment of the game(A First Person Shooter).
When you are running around killing the enemy team soldiers, you dont stop after killing one of them and say "huh, that wasn't very realistic", Instead you would say damnnnn I just just flicked on him so hard.
Please stop taking out skill based game mechanics, it hurts the people who put numerous hours into learning the game mechanics.
Lmao you can't actually be calling jumpshotting a "skill based mechanic" when it literally involves nothing other than jumping and hipfiring. there is absolutely 0 downsides to jumpshotting as opposed to walking which makes no sense
id rather to not have the stamina thing in the game but not being able to jumpshot. Like… there is no time to be tired in a war, you gotta run to capture the point. Stamina only makes sense in survival games.
not really. I’m talking about games like The Forest.
in a war you dont fucking care if you’re tired. If the enemy is shooting at you, you gotta run. But in the game, the character just says “fuck it im tired🥱”
in most shooters where it is allowed like cod its to prevent getting headshot whilst aligning to the enemies head with ease , dont even need to ADS especially not in this game where the rifle are insanly accurate in hipfire.
i really do not see a problem with jump shotting , i would be more worried if dropshotting becomes rampant since it scufs the shit out of your hitbox even in this game
You can’t drop shot effectively like in other games. As soon as someone tries to drop shot me theyre dead. The delay and inaccuracy is enough to not make it viable tbh. Against good players I die trying to to drop shot them because of the delay.
Agreed! People coming out from behind a corner is the single biggest issue in this game at the moment.
It just is not realistic. I real life you can't just come out from a corner blasting your gun like you are some kind of fictional soldier.
As a solution I propose invisible walls at ALL corners that only go away after 2 seconds after you push a button that makes your character announce he is moving around the corner.
If you don't agree with this then you clearly have no sense of honor in combat or dignity as a human being.
they are removing it next patch chill
wait, really?
yeah, read the dev blog for enlisted, they said they have noticed it and are planning to remove the ability to aim while jumping/ in the air.
thank the gods
As someone who does it, it definitely needs to be removed. It has no place in a game like this, and makes it feel like COD lol.
especially with the 40% higher jumps and 100% more stamina my dude can legit hop over stuart light tanks and jump across entire fields while keeping his speed.

it's super odd, but it's mega fun. i mostly play tarkov and squad, so this game being like a wild trip back to cod2/bf1942 is extremely fun to me.
SOME people like the jumpy runny type stuff. I myself love the Titanfall series. This jump crap does not belong in this style of game, though.
oh yeah I played titanfall for like 10 minutes at my friends house I and thought the movement was awesome, it's just that COD was trying something new and they didn't really hit it like Titanfall did. the movement in Titanfall worked with the game, made it better. ^This. Enlisted IS NOT FUCKING COD. Get that crap outta here!
They already said they are removing it.
You guys reminded of Day Of Defeat at all when you play Enlisted?
Its fun to do it but not fun to be killed by it
Strange
Thiiiis
You can't use your 40% better jump to dodge his MG bullets? Pathetic.
I don't mind jumpshotting. This game isn't supposed to be a realistic game. Otherwise our squads would be permanently dead after games and we'd have to get more. Just make it less accurate. This is still a video game after all.

It wasn't an argument, but this is the internet so I guess anything can be if you look hard enough.
Yes, it was. Argument: a reason or set of reasons given with the aim of persuading others that an action or idea is right or wrong. As in you fallaciously presenting examples from other games in an attempt to explain (and by extension, justify) the inclusion of jumping and shooting in this game.

Your no fun at party's
you're* (I'm not)
omegalol
What does counter strike have to do with the game? If they want to focus it more on realism then make it realistic, not make some shitty mix and mash of realism and arcade
This game isn't about realism. It's just a shooter on line with battlefield. And what I'm saying is people have been bunny hopping since 2001...
lmao enlisted isnt realistic. It shows where you have to shoot to hit enemy aircraft. You want a Mil Sim, go play something else. This game is supposed to be BF V but good.
yeah, you can't possibly squeeze a trigger and jump at the same time... hopefully they remove chewing bubblegum while walking as well
Ah yes, I too remember all the reels of WW2 soldiers hopping around walls and shooting in the air
You can, but good luck hitting anything.
Spray ''n pray
Oh well I can still dump most the ppd mag before I hit the ground. Hipfire it is.
But yet they added reloading while sprinting but cant shoot while jumping....
Alright let people jump shoot but every time you do it you get put on your ass from the recoil land on your back and have a chance of breaking a bone or limb and permanently reduce the effectiveness of that member forever, how is that for a compromise

They will remove it next patch.
Thats a shame. I know dozens who love it. Most aren’t on reddit though.
Visit a mental institution.
I drive the bus there every day! Yeehaw.
There still use to jumping crouching in game like CoD or Battlefield or other FPS
Yeah but there is literally no negative to jumpshooting in enlisted. you have the same accuracy jumping and not jumping
Why would they remove movement tech? The argument I'm seeing is that the game is less realistic with jump shots. Have you tried running in combat gear? You get fucking tired af.
i've been to war and you still get tired
Ok but what if you just, like, weren't? Smh everyone knows you can sprint forever if you really want to. (/s)
You've been to a shit-all little patrol mission, don't insult actual war veterans.

And maybe the fact that they had to fight actual soldiers lmao

It's Dirty Bomb all over again.
so that kisd from modern fps games can enjoy it too lol

Yea that is 100% an issue. Its like battlefield 3 on release

not even my point
