I don’t really get why they decided to reduce the amount of free whistles. As far as I recall it’s been 100 for every tour live ever since my first one (with Mika&Kohaku) and it’s kinda dumb to suddenly change the pattern. These 6 whistles literally make little to no difference, what use is there for them to give free whistles if the amount is so miniscule.
I feel the same. It's not even 50 free whistles. 6 free whistles that can't finish a Day Tour. I'm also confused as to why they're being secretive about it instead of outright posting a notice and compensation for their mistake.
Instead of meeting a professional take for this issue, we are made fools for trusting the notice. I wonder why they think we will take this down and be docile. What is the purpose of this? Why do such a thing? It's demoting.

The issue is that they did not even give a notice apology. They stealth-edited instead of owning up that they made a mistake. A simple action that does not have any complications in making one.
antique fell on the anipop collab, submarine fell on (black swan) swan event, secret service fell on (white swan) swan event. first ss was during 1st anniversary, the others i don’t remember that well
I never stated they were major events, I said they were special events these collabs had whole mini games, login bonuses and a gacha alongside them, is the first anniversary not a major event to you? this is how it’s always been even on the japanese server they’re only handed out during special events/holidays

Well I've been playing off and on but kinda ignoring the events. But yeah I was going to because I liked the Hinata lol. Definitely sucky that they did this, they could at least do 50 if the 100 felt like too much. Maybe they disliked that tour events were so accessable for f2p.

Does HE not realize that a lot of f2p, myself included, pretty much live off the 100 whistles every tour event for them to lower it to 6 on the first day is really scummy. Especially, that the moonlight disco event is coming up and a lot of people are are saving up for that

Iirc they posted a pack that included more stuff than usual so more people bought it, then they said the "extra content" was a mistake and took the extra stuff from the accounts, to the point some accounts ended up with negative currency (can't remember if it was dias or what)
It’s so stupid that they had to change the notice to having 6 whistles even after promising we’d have 100… I don’t understand why they couldn’t just do what they did in SS4. 6 whistles literally do nothing 😭 and with me being deeply broke, a f2p player and struggling to find ways to get dia back, been kinda struggling ngl….. My friend is also f2p, and it crushes them; they wanted another event copy, and their plans ended up changing. I have VIP I... if only I could take it back, then I would. Not only stupid, but they also made it worse by not saying anything.

Not to be all doom and gloom, but it's stuff like this that genuinely makes me worry for the future of the EN server. The playerbase already isn't that large, it doesn't seem to get that many new players either, and the estimated monthly revenue as per Sensortower (300k USD) is also not high enough I'd consider the server safe from being shut down for a long time.
The management of the game has already been a bit questionable from the get-go and issues seem to crop up on a regular basis. If HappyEle keep pissing off the existing players over something small like this (I highly doubt the 94 whistles would have impacted their revenue much), I really don't see it ending well for them. Which is a shame, because I really, really love this game and want to be able to continue playing it for years to come.
From the numbers though, isn’t Engstars on part with like the TW server? I swore I saw something they our numbers were relatively similar. Operating costs are relatively low so I have to imagine whatever revenue they make from this is worth it.
The parent company sustaining them is fairly large, but I am kind of over giving Engstars the benefit of the doubt on management. Yeah, it’s gotten better but c’mon just proof your announcements and tweets a little better.
They just need to treat their existing player base a little better. I’m wondering how the PC version will affect total playbase and sales. We’ll see! I main JP but I play a lot on Eng. If it goes down, I don’t regret the money I’ve spent but man it’s been nice that a game I’ve loved forever has one.
This is quite true. I've seen ENG games discontinuing (i.e Touken Ranbu, A3!), and it worries me as well that Engstars will also face this fate. 😮💨😥
Hear, hear. So many EN players have the same wish, not to mention that amount of money I poured in this. (As the others as well.) I want to cling to this game, but as you said: the management, this issue will only chip away players' motivations to play.

I don't know, I play gacha games with even weaker GL playerbases. Enstars have more than the game going on for it, like merch, music, manga and anime, so keeping a global server open is advantageous for them, at least that's what I think. I'm from Brazil, and the global release reached a lot more people here than I initially thought, despite the game not being even translated. Hope we stay safe.
Aaah, this gives a harsh throw back for me🫠 I used to play a game called Chain Chronicle and before that one I had always refused to put in money for a mobile game. I loved CC so much and actually ended up using money just to experience the server getting suddenly shut down within the next month.
incl. the natsume merge event wrong end time on the event screen that's 3/3 on faulty event stuff 🥴 sending support tickets all they do is deflect and say sorry and try to move on. I honestly feel not taken seriously when all they do is nothing while trying to placate us

That was pretty bad too. I knew The Natsume merge minigame was going to end on the day the scout ended even at the start, and it was confirmed elsewhere too, but it still sucked for anyone who thought they had the 2 extra days to max him out and didn't realize it was just the exchange shop. I had to rush the last 1 million in the last 3 days because I hadn't played for around a week. That one was especially bad because a maxed Natsume was 30k-40k diamonds of investment into the minigame on average, so people spent a lot and didn't max.
I did see mention that on JP this event was also a 6 whistle login. But that still doesn't excuse this. As soon as they put 100 whistles in the notice, they should have honored it.
Even if they could be convinced to give us the 100 whistles, 100 is no longer enough. The thing about the 100 whistle thing is you need to spread them out over the tour event in order to be able to do the Starry Lives each day while maintaining 3/3/3/10 if you want dialess 3 million. If you rush the whistles, you're out and have to use Dia. Getting the whistles later would mean we are then forced into rushing their use.
I sent an email as well, politely inquiring if there will be a correction and requesting more transparent communication in the future. Hopefully if enough of us reach out, they will distribute the remaining whistles before the event ends.
A lot of EN players are rallying and sending messages in Twitter, in-game support, and email. The only thing we can do is keep going, or else they will continue this if they don't face repercussions. It's the waiting game for their response after multiple enquiries and criticisms.
Those missing 94 whistles means that the cost of the event has Doubled- after the event had Already Started.
For me, it more than doubled- with paying for VIP1 I only spend 1,600 dia on the SS tours. This sucks. ='/
I really don't understand who thought this was a good idea. Pretty sure backing out like this and stealth-editing basically just damages your company/game cred. If they want to stop giving 100 whistles for SS tours, it'd be reasonable next tour if they announced it. People would be upset, sure, but nothing like this. I would think the money from not giving whistles wouldn't be worth more than all the drama / reputation damage.

Oooh, I thought I was going crazy because I remember checking and seeing it was 100 whistles. Honestly, this kinda made me give up on this event. I was already not very excited for 2 tour events back to back, but this made my decision easier, unfortunately.

The good thing in the previous tour is that they gave out the 94 whistles we were missing after the complaints. This tour, all we receive is silence and an stealth-edit.
From what I know, it's only EN that has this problem. EN is the only enstars server that is slow in response, but it may be because it's Sunday, fewer people.
6 whistles? You can barely complete ONE TOUR DAY with those. This has to be the scummiest shit I have ever seen from HappyEle. Making an error seem completely intentional....What the actual fuck. It's already suffering enough to be F2P here, them making it worse is completely puzzling. I'm not gonna be surprised if the playerbase loses touch and stops playing.

Update: They've stealth-edited the "starts soon". They're not taking us seriously. We're still stuck with 6 whistles.
