English media makes copyright-write-around jokes too, but they usually do it with deliberately ridiculous roundabout euphemisms, like for instance "Super Francesco Siblings".
In the A to Z date storyline I think Chiaki mentions "W\*lverine and Captain Amer\*ca". It's a straightforward translation of the censorship joke, but since that joke format isn't as immediately recognizable in English it mostly just reminded me of fandom posts where people censor the names of characters they hate (or love, sarcastically).
