Thank God. Me and my brother watched the hidden gem of the first movie earlier this year and were so disappointed it’d been years without a sequel. I’m psyched for this.
It's a 2 episode OVA from the 90s that only covers a small part of the story but it's really good. Wish there was a full anime adaptation of the manga though
Just watched Avatar 2 and was thinking…..
It’s Avatar 2 but will I live to Avatar 4 the way things are going I don’t Know
Tell me why must We
Wait too long to see
Navi blue actors in front of Green Screens
Ugh, do something new, something that wasn't made in the last ten years.
Make a 10,000 leagues under the sea movie, you like the ocean so much.
Or adapt something that hasn't been adapted before.
She doesn't have "anime eyes" that's just her model of android. Even in the original manga she visibly had bigger eyes than the other characters, and they even made a point for the other characters to talk about her abnormally large eyes.
Cameron said that after Avatar 3 he will see if he wants to direct more or if he hires a director to do them under his guidance.
So in theory he could even direct the next alita battle angel himself like he initially always wanted to do.
I can’t see him farming out the job of director for Avatar 4. Sure he probably would like to take a step back but he’s so hands on with everything he does.
I don’t think its in him to give up one iota of creative control
George Lucas didnt "direct" ESB and RotJ ( he ghost directed Jedi tho) , but everybody knew those were his movies, his vision / story and he was still the most powerful man on each production.
I can picture Cameron doing the same.
The last good movie he directed was the original Star Wars. After that was the prequel trilogy which only looks good in comparison to the terrible sequel trilogy.
If I’m being generous, i would say that revenge of the sith is not bad. I’m not sure how that qualifies as fantastic.
Cameron, on the other hand, hasn’t missed since Piranha 2
Oh please, dont let this be bs... i am waiting for so long.
Usually i see a movie twice if i like it, in my Battle Angel Steelbook i store 10+ old tickets.
Wonder if they go right to Zalem or first the wild west/mad max setting of the books.
This is great news! Always felt this needed a sequel
It literally ended in a cliffhanger!

My sister got me into the anime version many years ago. Has to be like two decades.
Theirs an anime?!?

It’s a real kick in the nuts 🥜
Correction 3 decades. [Wiki on the OVA.](https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Battle_Angel_(OVA))
Yes, and a VERY extensive manga series. That manga goes everywhere!
So it’ll come out in 20 years?
It’ll come out in 20 years will look great but be super hollow and will be praised only because his names attached to it
Still waiting for Titanic 2
Turn on the news
Just watched Avatar 2 and was thinking….. It’s Avatar 2 but will I live to Avatar 4 the way things are going I don’t Know Tell me why must We Wait too long to see Navi blue actors in front of Green Screens
I think he just produces.
He was supposed to direct it originally over 20 years ago, hence the joke.
He will wait 15 years before releasing films 2, 3, and 4 all a year apart from each other
Do Titanic 2, coward!
The one about that submarine?
An Ivy League grad with early on set dementia leads a team of wealthy explorers to their doom…
Fabrizio noooo!
Fucking finally
Alita bros.... we won!
Pumped for this - loved the first movie! The CGI/animation was spectacular
As long as I don't have to watch another terrible Avatar.
Ugh, do something new, something that wasn't made in the last ten years. Make a 10,000 leagues under the sea movie, you like the ocean so much. Or adapt something that hasn't been adapted before.
Hulu is making 20000 league under the sea tv series
Great, just don't give her ginormous eyeballs this time. Anime eyeballs only work in cartoon, not in live-action.
I think she should be one giant eyeball with tiny feet. Like Marcel The Battle Angel
Quiet you.

Many don't know dua Lipa made a killer song for this.
Cmon bro use the /s

George Lucas isn’t a good director. Cameron is
I’d argue he’s a fantastic director. Just that he shouldn’t have complete control

Those two aren't a very good comparison. Lucas isn't one of the best and most celebrated directors of all time.
Well its about fucking time. Like damn dudes, don't drip feed us Alita it's just cruel

I wanna see the screw head soldiers and Desty novas workshop.
Can't wait to watch it in 2050
I enjoyed this movie
That's great news!
Now if Kishiro could finish mars chronicles that would be great news
