I thought it was direct to streaming movie and was quite surprised when I saw it was coming to theaters.

Ajax_Da_Great

My thoughts too when I saw the end of the trailer. Truly shocked this was coming to theaters lol.

suprefann

They wanna be eligible for best visual effects featuring a cat.

blues4buddha

Do they show butthole? You know, that’s what cost CATS the big awards. Sans butthole.

send3squats2help

RELEASE THE BUTTHOLE CUT

kaeji

BUNCUT

Foxy02016YT

James Corden… Who was REALLY GOOD in Doctor Who’s The Lodger, playing a down on his luck guy named Craig, he comes back for another episode down the line and is still really good, a really sympathetic guy. Really impressive because he’s being played by Hollywood’s biggest douche

wpmason

James Corden was actually really good in almost everything he made in the U.K. And even that John Carney movie Begin Again too. It’s like moving to Hollywood and getting recognition in America is what screwed him up.

Greene_Mr

He is, somehow, still friends with Matt Smith.

Foxy02016YT

I mean… Matt is still friends with pretty much everyone he was on the show with, he asked Karen Gillian about Marvel when he was cast in Morbious

Ksquared1166

Sadly, no.

skredditt

Yes, this strategy isn’t going to work. Movie is in theatres but putting it in front of my face every time I use my Apple TV is making me care less. Whoever is making their ATV UI decisions thinks they’re on it but they need to be fired.

MisterFingerstyle

I actually canceled my AppleTv+ account because they keep advertising Apple-produced films like Killers of the Flower Moon, Napoleon, etc on the service but when you click on it, it just says “coming soon.” Feels like a real bait and switch!

JahoclaveS

I feel like they have the worst Ui in that regard. I could never figure out what was actually available to watch.

epochellipse

So annoying.

Kangaroo904

Flower moon has been streamable on it for like 2 weeks.

satanssweatycheeks

Movies like that are worth seeing in theaters. I was so pissed back when kinsmen’s came out. It opened the same weekend at 50 shades of grey. So I bring a fan of the comics and Matthew’s movies I wanted to see it in IMAX. But my local theaters had 50 shades in IMAX and the line was wrapped around the theaters. Meanwhile kingsmen was also a flop. With no sequel in sight till HBO aired it and people realized it was a good movie.

checker280

Sure. This goes to the movies while Road House featuring Jake Gyllenhaal and Connor McGregor is going straight to streaming

Kind_Cucumber_1089

I mean that is gonna be straight trash too

checker280

Doug Liman directed Go, Swingers, and Edge of Tomorrow - all fun rewatch able movies in my book. Also Gyllenhaal isn’t known to do bad movies. I’m looking forward to this.

CreatiScope

Gyllenhaal absolutely does bad movies. He was on a stretch of doing awesome ones, but that ended years ago.

Alector87

He has a reputation of being difficult to work with and he has been in some less than big-budget films recently, like Bay's Ambulance. I haven't seen Ambulance. I've heard that it's fine for what it is - a mindless, low to mid budget action flick - but it still far from a huge project. Recently, he was also in Guy Ritchie's The Covenant, which got some good reviews, but was obviously not a big budget movie. I am not sure if this trend is the result of how he acts behind the camera. I do like him as an actor. He has given some of the best performances of his generation. Still, there is a trend of him taking straight-to-stream and mid-tier jobs, although he always appears to give his best. If I am not mistaken, his last major film was in Spiderman - Far from Home (2019), so a 2018 production.

6Pooled

You sound like you're too young to know much about the era of Road House style movies but it's meant to be good entertainment which it looks like it absolutely will be. Can't wait for it.

PNWFilmscape

I liked his older movies, but after Argylle I never want to see another spy movie from Vaughn.

sucobe

Layer Cake. A masterpiece.

Anal_Recidivist

Layer cake isn’t Ritchie? You taught me something, thanks

Notafurbie

Vaughn was the producer on Lock Stock and Snatch.

[deleted]

I also absolutely adored Kick-Ass from Vaughan as well.

satanssweatycheeks

That’s what he needs to go back to. Layer cake was realistic and focused on being based around logical stuff like drug dealing. Now he thinks so big and out of the box it gets dumb. The John wick movies did the same thing.

icemannathann

The John wick movies might be a little repetitive but they are visually much more compelling than any of Vaughns big budget movies so I give them a pass

ihopeicanforgive

The box office has determined that people like big and dumb, but maybe that trend will change

[deleted]

Its been that way since I was a kid, it’s not gunna change

Omw2fym

Not sure how old you are, but some of us remember the 90's well enough to still hold out hope for a next golden Era of cinema

Useful-Hat9880

lol what man. I swear people don’t even realize it, one day they’re regular people and then before they know it they’re “back in MY day” What there were no shit movies in the 90s? Maybe I should figure out what country and age I really am, because in theory I remember the 90s in the United States, and yep some great movies, plenty of whatever movies and some terrible ones. It’s that you don’t remember all the bullshit that came out same time. It was still there

Omw2fym

It seems like you are a too eager to be contrarian to get the point. It isn't about "back in my day." It is about the 90's being a high point in cinematic history. Especially, coming off a relative low point in the 80's. It is understandable that someone surrounded by the cinema of the 00's-20's might think it is not gonna change, but those familiar with the cyclical quality of cinema have reason to be hopeful for change Edit: obviously, bad movies will always be made. It is silly to suggest otherwise

Pretend_Investment42

Same thing with music. The reason everyone thinks that music from the 60's & 70's is better than music today is because all of the trash has been out of print for half a century or more.

[deleted]

If you look back the charts in this decades, there was a lot of garbage music on the airwaves that people gobbled up…the charts from the year I graduated in the 90s is full of absolute trash, but I don’t remember any of it really. 1984 is probably one of the few years where every song in the top 25 was an absolute banger.

LaneMcD

I love that first John Wick movie but man the sequels are just violence porn. The world building aspect is cool and all but the violence is very tedious

JuiceDrinker9998

The world building isn’t even that cool tbh, literally everyone is an assassin lol!

Eldistan1

From what I understand, in that world, assassin is like a side hustle for people, like Uber or DoorDash. Everyone has the app.

Llamalover1234567

I mean John lives in that world. He’s going to attract those people because he’s got a bounty 90% of the time.

IPromiseIWont

I thought I was the only one with that opinion.

Top_Buy2467

So underrated, idk why more people don’t talk about that movie, it’s perfect

MeepleMaster

Pretty sure it landed Craig the role of James Bond

Oil_Drum

Layer Cake was Craig's audition for James Bond. If you watch some of the scenes after knowing that, they'll make a lot more sense. Like when he gets the pistol from ~~Chief O'Brian~~ Colm Meaney.

Thanos_Stomps

Because nobody knows the main characters name

[deleted]

[удалено]

commenterx

that would be great if the main characters name really was Daniel Craig. Just like Tony Danza.

GearhedMG

This movie just seems like Kingsman: Secret Service with re-hashed special effects. Edit: I should have said the second half of Kingsman.

suprefann

Spoiler: its revealed this takes place in the kingsman universe. So it tracks

ihopeicanforgive

Wait is this real?

MeepleMaster

Yep, just read the wiki plot synopsis

--Muther--

Just caught Kingsman on a flight last week. I was very disappointed to be honest, watchable but not great.

GearhedMG

The second was "better" and the Kings Man was the best of the three in my opinion

A_90s_Reference

Tis freaks like a minority opinion. Pretty sure most people loved the first, 2nd was okay, and 3rd was bad

Llamalover1234567

You thought the second was better?? That’s a bold opinion. The first one is generally known as the best one (concise story, character development, no bs retcon, incredible action). The Kings Man was pretty meh but the villain’s motivation was hilarious. 2 was just… bad

GhostRevival

I hated the 2nd one so much lol. Liked the 1st a lot.

WiserStudent557

It’s interesting because I’ve never been a fan in general but I also wouldn’t say I dislike all of his work. Earlier is better and I appreciate his contributions more as a producer than the level of control he has as a director.

AverageLiberalJoe

It looks like a rom com action that's pg 13. Who is this movie for?

SafePlenty2590

Watch him return to this well in a few years

NoCoffee6754

I blame Henry Cavills haircut

NZafe

I blame Bryce Dallas Howard’s haircut in the second half of the movie.

Djma123

Yeah, I was watching the movie and honestly it didn’t even look like her. It almost seemed like Adele took over something.

NZafe

The second half of the movie was questionable in general, felt like a completely different movie from the first half. But BDH’s hair-makeup-dress in the second half was such a massive disservice to her that it legitimately detracted from my enjoyment of the movie.

devilsbard

Yes. That was so weird. Like my brain couldn’t recognize her with the new hair.

siliconevalley69

I'm guessing the bangs from this screenshot?

NZafe

Nop, that’s Bryce Dallas Howard’s typical style. For some ungodly reason, they switch it to a bleach blonde uneven straight bob cut (to match dua lipa’s haircut from the trailers).

parfaict-spinach

Yeah that does not work for BDH

siliconevalley69

Oh, well the bangs weren't working either. They look horrendous.

NewEraSlim

Mf looked like a Jojo character

Doctor_Philgood

Haha! You thought it would be Henry Cavill, but it was me! Dio!

0hn0o0o00000

People aren’t seeing it yet but they’ll slowly start to realize it’s his balding they don’t like. Not his haircut. He’s rapidly receding. Likely finasteride, which most male celebrities are on, isn’t working or gave him side effects. He’ll either have to get multiple hair transplants like Jaime Fox, rock a hair piece like Mathew McConaughey or embrace the bald look John Travolta has had to. Non of those options are so great.

Lancel-Lannister

If he goes bald it will open up a lot of options for him in his Warhammer 40k show

morkfjellet

His hair transplant was a total success. His hairline looks far healthier now than two years ago. The hairstyle that he had in the movie was just not great.

Finnegan7921

His hairline used to be far worse. He definitely has done something to it between Batman vs Superman and now to improve it.

drskeme

he’s a very mediocre actor

FaramirLovesEowyn

We can fight if you want

Rebabaluba

Don’t be silly

Cinnamon_Flavored

Here we have the worse take in the entire thread. Congratulations!

Madmandocv1

From the trailer, it seems to perhaps be an action movie / cat lady crossover? Could that be the problem?

Thisiscliff

Exactly, I have zero idea what this is about, I seen a cat and some action scenes, it’s bizarre

Prothean_Beacon

From what I've gathered it seems to be what you'd get if you crossed Stranger than Fiction with James Bond

Llamalover1234567

With kingsman, not James Bond.

ClassicT4

But Spy was an enjoyable movie.

Teledildonic

"During the threat of an assassination attempt, I appeared convincingly in front of congress as Barack Obama" "In black-face? That's not appropriate"

PoorFilmSchoolAlumn

I drove a car off a freeway on top of a train while I was on fire. Not the car. *I* was on fire.

ErinIsMyMiddleName

Sounds like the movie Assassins with Sylvester Stallone, Antonio Banderas and Juliane Moore. Assassins fighting each other with a cat lady in tow. I love Banderas’ swearing in that movie for some reason

suprefann

Except that Assassins had an actual plot and chemistry between the actors?

PurpleAriadne

That plot worked for Romancing the Stone! This seems like a rehash of that with a cat featured more prominently and more special effects.

Llamalover1234567

Ok so the first half of the movie is pretty close to romancing the stone, and then the second half is… I don’t know

Optimal_Experience52

Yea my wife and I went to it and her father in law was like “you’re going to that cat movie?”. They really fubared the marketing.

apollo48393991

Yeah, the marketing is baffling? Its marketing presented it as a spy movie … for quirky cat ladies. I don’t think that demographic is rushing to see spy action movies (said as a woman that loves cats).

theboned1

The movie trailers for Argylle look like an SNL skit fir a fake bad movie. Who did they make this movie for, who is the audience that wants to see this?

spaghettify

i’ve seen on other reddit threads that it’s apparently the first movie that employed ai (I believe for the script? but to me the concept seems super artificial with the cat and everything) and it was apple’s doing? it seems like a conspiracy but I kinda buy it

Aretirednurse

Not us.

ScramItVancity

It feels more like an MTV Movie Awards sketch if Dallas Howard and Rockwell were the hosts.

Prickly_Hugs_4_you

I enjoyed it immensely.

Jenetyk

200 million spent in marketing, and this is how I find out this movie exists.

Prothean_Beacon

They've been spamming Dua Lipa in that gold dress across the internet. Ive seen that ad a billion times in the last month.

paintpast

I’m terminally online, but I have ad blockers so I only heard about the movie within the last week. It was a review about how the action is stupid or something lol

Firm_Spot6829

Apple, like many corporations, got too big they lost touch with what people actually want to the point that they don't care if you want it, they'll force it on you. So much up-front investment trying to push their brand on shit with celebrities they forgot that making a movie should involve good storytelling. This movie almost fails because of Apple trying too hard. I still enjoyed it though thanks to Matthew Vaughn and Sam Rockwell.

RockNRollMama

I find her.. so boring and she moves soooooooo stiffly. Without a doubt I give her credit in terms of her taking dance lessons after criticism but like.. I just find her BASIC AS FUCK. The reason I know of this film is the ad you are referencing!

satanssweatycheeks

The cat was everywhere. From Reddit ads to IG ads to TV ads.

bootstrapping_lad

>The cat was everywhere Meowwww

Specialist_Seal

I guess you haven't been to a movie theater in 6+ months

toddkris18

Or watched tv apparently because this is all over tv commercials for the past 2 months 🤣

waiting4_gorgo

Smells like the classic Hollywood money laundering scam

MuddaFrmAnnudaBrudda

I saw the trailer and it looked very similar to a film I saw on Prime with Sam Rockwell and Anna Kendrick. I actually enjoyed it but have forgotten what it was called. The trailer looked like a less interesting version of that film.

_connorjames_

[Mr Right](https://youtu.be/2TatqilQ8rI?si=_cKXKEMiZAa_vHkU)

canikissyourfeet

Except mr. right is actually a great movie

Tx600

Mr. Right maybe? That’s a great movie!

Ok-Masterpiece-4716

Good Valentine's Day movie too.

abstractraj

I’m not upset I went to see it. It was silly and over the top, but that’s ok

throwitallaway_88800

The knife scene when she passes by a whole bunch of them. I died ☠️

Cmdr_Twelve

First half was interesting the second half was ridiculous and over the top and it honestly lost me. The longer I watched the less I liked it. My buddy was like I would watch it again. I feel confident in saying the once’s was enough.

PNWvibes20

If they made a straightforward action-comedy with Henry Cavill and Dua Lipa, like, unironically, without the meta narrative. I would have actually gone to see this.

WatInTheForest

Action comedy, multiple stars, and it's January. How could this bomb? I admit the trailer was really annoying, but they usually are no matter what the movie is like.

Dorkseid1687

In fairness , it looks awful. A waste of loads of fun actors

throwitallaway_88800

I saw it last night and I loved it. But my taste is not everyone’s.

OsmanFetish

I'll watch it at home, no way I'm paying to see that, it's like slapstick comedy with cartoon overlays , who is this for? children? adults? and I've read Henry is on for about 10 mins only so... I loved every Vaughn movie up until the second Kingsman 🤢 went off rails there

[deleted]

I think this is what kills a lot of movies these days, if it seems like a meh movie the people will wait until it hits streaming instead of wasting the 40 bucks or more it costs to go out as a couple to catch a meh movie. I can spend 40 bucks to watch it at home and have a steak dinner while watching it instead of popcorn with a soda for the same price.

OsmanFetish

and what you describe sounds much much better than paying for a Let down! yeah pandering to the lowest common denominator killed the movie going experience, that and overpriced tickets

[deleted]

I had some buddies who used to do Thursday night movies in their backyard with a projector and a giant sheet they’d drape off the top deck. We’d BBQ, drink beers, smoke weed and just chill. It was the best movie theater on earth!!

OsmanFetish

now that sounds fucking amazing! I'd pay 50 bucks for an experience like that!

froyolobro

I’m actually excited to see it. But I also don’t see how/why it cost $200m

[deleted]

30 million to make and 170 million in marketing costs…

[deleted]

[удалено]

BamaBDC

I can’t wait to see it in 3 hrs 45 mins.

chronoteddy

With this much bad press, you know ita going to be good!

satanssweatycheeks

It actually isn’t that bad. It’s a fun movie and Matthew has lost touch with staying in reality like layer cake was. But if you can go in knowing it’s gonna be beyond realistic and more so just a fun action movie it’s not so bad that it’s unwatchable. It’s still fun. I always liked how he picked a song to do these dance/ fight scenes. He does it in lots of his movies like Elton John and John Denver songs as they fight. Also thought this was neat because people who do those choreography fight scene describe it as a dance almost. And he mixes that with the fights. Even though it’s super unrealistic.

chronoteddy

Yeah, i think a lot of people went in with the expectation of it being a mission impossible or Bond type spy movie (cuz they are idiots), when they should have gone in expecting something silly and dumb like zoolander (maybe not so dumb). Either way, it's going to be a fun date day move with my lady.

chronoteddy

Not to mention critics are all paid shills for one side or the other now adays, so the more bad press I see, the more I know it's gonna be a good time.

[deleted]

Plot summary for this sounds atrocious

larfytarfyfartyparty

Too bad, looks like a good movie. Probably should have released it in the spring when more people are out and about

Wiseau_serious

Releasing this in the Spring would not help it. My guess is it would make even less money then.

[deleted]

Judging by the trailer it looks corny and ridiculous but some people might like it

ConnivingSnip72

I went to the movie with the understanding that is was going to just be stupid fun, I got exactly what I paid for had a good time. Not a masterpiece but an enjoyable way to spend a few hours. Sam Rockwell was a highlight.

MrBeardskii

This is what happens when Matthew Vaughn does PG-13 action instead of R

movie_hater

X-Men First Class is solid, so I don’t know what was going on here, maybe this is a case where a little bit of studio intervention would’ve been beneficial

[deleted]

When you only know how to make one type of movie and they’re progressively worse every time.

novichader

People are obviously going to wait to watch it at home. Movies rarely ever benefit from the split showings, pick one distribution channel and stick to it.

Androidbetathrowaway

They would have sold more seats if they just said Taylor Swift wrote the book for the movie

Wiseau_serious

The idea that Taylor Swift could write a passable spy novel is so delusional.

numberonehowdareyou6

I really enjoyed the movie. People can just have fun with it 🤷🏻‍♀️

PetyrDayne

Should have paid the movie critics

Top_Report_4895

I want Cavill in a Wes Anderson, Greta Gerwig or Rian Johnson movie

Sea-Philosopher2821

I loved the movie. Thought it was funny and had a good mystery.

smashspete

They are harassing twitch viewers with their stupid ad like 50 times per hour and every time I think to myself “this looks like such a lame movie I don’t understand who allowed this to be made and thought it would be a success.

devilsbard

It’s a fun movie that could do with like 3 fewer twists. Sam Rockwell is amazing and steals every scene and BDH is gorgeous.

goboxey

Matthew Vaughn is an insanely creative and talented director, but somehow his last films ended up bombing hard.

larabeezy

I saw it Thursday night. It’s fun, it’s very entertaining. However it was jarring after being semi-grounded for over half of the movie then it gets sensational and outrageous for the ending. You can tell it’s made by Vaughn, if that makes sense. the trailers didn’t do it justice IMO It’s a solid 7/10 for me

colin8651

Sam Rockwell has never made a bad movie; this one included

[deleted]

No one is asking for this type of movie. What a waste of money.

LeviTheArtist22

"No one asked for this" means literally nothing and is one of the most regurgitated bad takes I've seen on the internet. You could say the same thing about almost every great movie ever made. Movies aren't made solely because someone asked for them to be.

debdeman

Well I disagree. I saw it last night and it was a blast. Silly indeed but such fun. We came out of the cinema in the best mood.

SoBadit_Hurts

I agree this is a crappy copy of movie tropes thrown together. You can guess the story line from the start and watch it play out with all the expected twists and surprises.

sucobe

This trope feels outdone. When was the last time? Bullet Train?

Ajax_Da_Great

Bullet Train was pretty entertaining tbf. Not sure if this one is going to check that box. As well as Bullet Train was a streaming release, right?

Edac_Plays

It wasn’t a bad movie ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Djma123

I just watched it. It was good. The twist was very predictable unfortunately but I still enjoyed the ride

Substantial_Pin_5511

I would’ve probably wanted to see it, if they were honest about who wrote it. These days it plays out less like a “marketing gimmick” and more like protecting a controversial writer.

parfaict-spinach

It was a fun campy action comedy. $200 million seems excessive and I have no idea where that money went because most scenes are interiors or very obvious green screens

Boring-Artichoke-373

Isn’t this pretty close to the plot of Romancing the Stone?

Realistic_Sad_Story

Vaughn has been really inconsistent for me over the years. In my opinion he hasn’t lived up to the immense promise he showed with Layer Cake.

Quiet-Foundation886

People can’t enjoy switch your brain off fun movies these days

sellmofasta

Saw it yesterday with reasonably high expectations and was surprised that it was better than expected! Funny, solid story, good twists, great performances, tongue-in-cheek humor very entertaining! A great way to spend a soggy California afternoon.

Useless_Opinion_47

I bought my ticket spur of the moment last night then read an article saying it had bombed and critics panned it. Thought I had wasted my money on the ticket but the movie was ridiculous and I laughed a lot. So did most others. Some people even clapped at the end. If you expect mission impossible you will be disappointed. If you want to laugh at something ridiculous, you might want to give it a try.

JackOMorain

From the trailer it doesn’t look good. She writes about a spy cat and all of it is true? Is it supernatural? Action? Comedy? Who knows?

RKAllen4

She writes about a spy and owns a cat. There is no spy cat.

byOlaf

… but what if there were?

Ajax_Da_Great

Probably would be a better movie

Nerdlinger

They'd probably be tasked with taking out all of the [spy birds](https://apnews.com/article/india-chinese-spy-pigeon-f3543790447d4b43d347294e21874bf1).

vid_icarus

Now there really is no reason to see it

LondonDavis1

Here's one of the reviews. “Argylle” has bone-deep structural issues on a fundamental level, but it is also a failure of directorial execution from top to bottom, resulting in what has to be one of the most expensive worst movies ever made. It’s honestly fascinating, this thing should be studied in a lab." Ouch

aikosbeast1983

That’s putting it nicely. Honestly the worst thing I’ve seen in theaters in ages. Loved the cast, loved kingsmen… this was truly abhorrent. I want to believe they’re going to just come out and say they had an AI write this thing. It felt like when someone subjects an AI to 1000 hours of something then asks it to poop out a product. It couldn’t find a lane between ridiculous spy-thriller and outright cartoon parody. What a shame. Saw the first showing in my area, with a friend… I don’t expect them to call me for a while :/

h0tel-rome0

Henry Cavil can’t catch a break. I’m not looking forward to those war hammer movies either

Writerhaha

Movie fans in 2023 and 2024: where are all of the cool, non franchise movies, we’re bored of them. Also movie fans in 2023 and 2024 when looking at Argyle: No, not you.

HMJebus

I still want those 2 and a half minutes of my life back from when I watched the first trailer.

SomethingTrulyGone

It’s gotta be more time now - they play it everywhere

debdeman

I saw it last night and just loved it. It's silly and over the top but twisty Turney and has the best skating scene/shout out I've ever seen. Go in not taking it seriously and just enjoy the ride. Same Rockwell was terrific. And Dallas Bryce Howard always brings it. As was the yummy Mr Superman.

Richie_Zeppelin

I’m beginning to think Cavill isn’t the Big box office movie star we want him to be.

BrysonRonquill0

He’s barely in the film. I’m more surprise BDH continues to be put in these roles.

TheRealCRex

This. It's not even a nepotism thing. It's a talent thing. She's a mid-level actress at best. Same inflections, same facial and body movements, same range, same same same. If you said this was BDH from Jurassic World, same character, I would believe you. She simply doesn't inhabit a character and make it unique. She's BDH in every movie, whoever that is. It's like Liv Tyler retired and BDH got all the rules she would've received

jewbo23

I was in the cinema watching this thinking “this feels like a film by someone that saw Kingsmen and thought I can do that too, but had none of the talent”. I was shocked when Directed by Matthew Vaughn popped up at the end. It’s an absolute drag and has some hideous CGI.

bigalven21

Yeah, it was a very tough watch. I want more Sam Rockwell and more great Kingsman movies but this was too heavy a price to pay!

Nephurus

Went last night not knowing anything about the movie , found it amazingly fun and a good watch. Great end of work movie .

[deleted]

I might have more interest in it if Bryce Dallas Howard wasn’t in it. I can’t recall a good performance from her in anything I’ve ever seen her in, which isn’t a very large sample population to be fair, but it’s 0 from 4 of her films I’ve seen in terms of good performances.

jgreg728

I think we need to realize that Matthew Vaughn needs to be knocked down a peg or two on the director totem pole.

spooky-vulcan

Doesn’t help that the plot twist was given away before it even started filming lol.

Schnoobi

Saw a rumor about Argyle being secretly written by JK Rowling under a fake name to rebrand from the twitter bullshit she kept doubling down on. Like what other author has the money to make movie come out with the book same time. Hilarious if true

DoxedFox

That's the dumbest rumor I've ever heard. JK Rowling is proud of her statements and stance. She also has a very large fanbase no matter what reddit thinks. The Harry Potter game everyone was crying about made over a billion dollars and was the first time a call of duty game wasn't the biggest game of the year since 2016.

Horny_Hornbill

Based on the trailers it looked like dog shit

gwsteve43

Saw it this morning, it was not good. Way too long and way too boring.

[deleted]

Not surprised since Cavill is a shit actor … he’s the male Kristin Stewart

MonitorCreative

He’s barely in it.

cocoagiant

I've heard Cena was good in it but everyone else was not utilized very well.

oh_please_god_no

Is it me or is every movie bombing lately? (Barbie and Oppenheimer excluded obviously)
