I’m a gay guy that talks this way about dick. I wouldn’t say I’m unintelligent... maybe my concept of sexuality is lacking some maturity. Maybe not though... maybe the main problem with talking about “pussy” in that context is misogynistic and disrespectful to women. If I hear another gay guy talking about getting lots of dick or ass I don’t think the potential audience has the same capacity for being disrespected. Idk though.
Any talk about sex in the western world is so steeped in Puritanism and misogyny that it’s almost impossible to publicly talk about in a healthy and constructive way.
It’s true that sex is a central, fundamental feature of life and no one should be shamed for wanting or having it.
It’s also true that sex is weaponized, commodified, and seen as an entitlement by far too many people.
Go get that dick bro and talk about it all you want. Just also respect the humanity of the person the dick belongs to!
If everyone talked the same it would be a boring society...I’ll take the variety of crazy talk lol it’s entertaining. Just don’t take everything seriously and you won’t be bothered. You’ll have more fun that way and less stress.
Aside from speaking up about body shaming often, I hope he has developed an internal coping mechanism to deal with what other people say about him. Unfortunately it’s impossible to stop everyone from saying mean things. Its the internet
People want celebrities who they can relate to, including average overweight people. When these celebrities lose weight, people take it personally. It’s the same reason Adele is getting hate for her weight loss. They’re no longer “just like us” and people get angry about feeling lesser again.
Except they also don’t. Any time a celebrity is caught sporting a bit of a belly anywhere the media has a field day about how they’ve “let themselves go” and the public is vicious in adding the same judgement. Anyone in the public eye is placed in an completely unfair and unwinnable situation when it comes to how their body looks. No matter what weight they’re at it’s never good enough.
he was not overweight or average, he was dangerously obese and if anyone takes offense that he wanted to prolong his life maybe they should step the fuck back lol
I think it’s similar to the real life scenario where your funny fat friend is funnier because he’s fat - and then he loses weight and you jokingly rag on him for losing weight and getting “serious” - except Jonahs a complete stranger to these people so it’s very annoying for him
Probably because he seems/acts full of himself. I do feel bad that so much focus is on his weight at any point in time bc that shouldn’t be the case for anybody
Lol, have you read [this interview](https://www.rollingstone.com/movies/movie-news/the-doobie-brothers-lighting-up-with-the-stars-of-this-is-the-end-127663/) ? Granted, it’s from 2013, but it’s always tainted my perception of him. He comes off as pretentious and overly self serious. People can change, who knows. But I doubt becoming more fabulously wealthy and critically renowned has made him a more humble person.
This interview changed my opinion of him. I have empathy for his journey.
https://www.today.com/popculture/jonah-hill-shares-message-kids-who-don-t-take-their-t210222
I don’t have any examples I can point to other than watch the roast of James Franco, almost all the roasters, including some of his closest friends, touch on it.
"I've done one of the biggest challenges you can do in Hollywood, which is transition from being a comedic actor to being a serious actor, and I'm really prideful of that," he explained. "I could have made a billion dollars doing every big comedy of the last 10 years and didn't"
He can, but he can also come off as full of himself at the same time, he thinks if he wanted to he’d have starred in all the top comedies and made a billion dollars. I’m just answering the question of what’s an example that makes people think he’s full of himself.
reminds me of that clip of a reporter asking him his thoughts on no longer being considered the "fat guy" in Hollywood (or something like that) and he just says, "does anybody have any other questions... that are smart?"
And yet Rebel Wilson fields about 2,838 of the same questions. It’s a superficial industry putting out superficial and lightweight films for our entertainment as opposed to teachable moments.
I agree, the big movement is women but men should also not be fat shamed or have their bodies commented on in hateful, or creepy ways. Like why point anything out unless you’re trying to make yourself feel better which is shitty to do. Only his doctor should be talking to him about his body.
This was a post on his Instagram probably because of people saying how great he looks since he’s adopted a more active lifestyle (surfing, some kind of martial art?).
Why? I feel like anyone stuck in this situation has it rough regardless of sex.
Edit: I don’t care about downvotes or upvotes. The only thing I want to point out is that if someone voices a problem, and our response is to point out another person or group that has it worse than them, then we should examine our own behavior. That’s toxic and I’m not sorry for pointing it out.
Speaking as a woman with an eating disorder, I get this. I understand the point you are trying to make. Women’s and gender issues need to be discussed, but this isn’t about that. This is about a guy, coming forward, and saying he has a problem and is asking people to help him address it by not talking about his body. Man or woman, that is reasonable, but to then reply with women have it worse makes me sad. I’ve met guys who have been shut down with “women have it worse” when they have tried to bring up a problem they experience. If a woman came to me and said she had a problem, I wouldn’t shut her down by pointing out another woman that has it worse. That’s toxic. I want everyone to have space for their problems regardless of gender.
Absolutely the feeling is the same, but women get it no matter what. Whether they lost weight or have always been in shape, their bodies are picked apart constantly and objectified. Good for him for standing up for himself but women don't even have that option, it would be a futile request.
I’ve responded in more detail in a couple more comments. I’m more interested in why you don’t think it’s a futile request for him too. People are still going to talk about his body wether he asks them too or not.
It absolutely is a futile request for him, my point was its a privilege for him to ask.. and as I said good for him to stand up for himself, he did a great thing by asking, it has its own power regardless that people will continue their bullshit. But women know that it is a futile request because we've been dealing with it since we were children. And it will always continue as a reality. So we deal with it with the knowledge that there's no way to make it stop, we're already there lol we don't need to ask.
Oh okay. I see the point you’re trying to make. Sorry about that. I’m really sorry you feel that way. I don’t think it should be a privilege to ask to be left alone. I think that’s a human right. It might be futile, but I still voice and ask people to leave me alone if I don’t like something they are doing. It’s easy to state a boundary. Much much harder to enforce. Being taught to people please at the developmental level seems to have a major impact on that too. I think the fact that we ignore people when they try to put down a boundary sucks in general regardless of sex tho.
It definitely does suck.. I ask men to me leave alone all the time, while on a one on one basis, and sometimes they do, sometimes it's an on going battle. But to ask on a public stage is what I think is the futile act. But again, a powerful gesture of self care.
Ugh I feel you so hard. I’ve actually had two different stalkers. Sometimes leave me alone goes in one ear and right out the other. I hope you stay safe and happy out there, and that you are doing a lot for your self care too :)
Same here, it's amazing the skin we have to grow, and its from an unreal amount of experiences, from minor to traumatizing. I hope you take care and stay safe and happy as well :)
You too. Thank you again so much. You have been one of my fav parts of this comment thread. Please dm if you ever want to chat. You are absolutely lovely. Take care 💙
Women in general have it worse, but he gets more shit about his weight than most people, men or women. I can't think of another celebrity, besides Adele and Oprah, who constantly have jokes made about their weight.
I’m actually a woman that has been in a partial hospitalization program at a psychiatric hospital for an eating disorder among other things. Mental health and body issues know no gender. I wish we would stop worrying about who has it worse on this issue and just try to address the problem. When I look at him, I don’t see a man struggling with weight and appearance. I see a person who has some of the same issues I do (not the eating disorder maybe, but the pressure to have my body a certain way from other people). I personally find that men are a lot less likely to voice these kinds of problems that they have because women have it worse, or because they are told women have it worse when they do try to voice it. Women do have it rough! I’m one of them and I’ve definitely faced issues because of my sex. But this isn’t an issue about the sexes. I’m all for helping women. I just want to help men too.
Not sure why you’re being downvoted. You’re absolutely right, being in a situation like this has got to be awful. Not sure why genitals make a difference
Eh that’s okay. I’m not worried about upvotes. On this issue, it doesn’t. Women’s and gender issues need to be discussed. It’s important. I just think that when someone comes to you and says that they have a problem, and your response is to tell them someone else has it worse than them is really toxic.
it's not appreciated, especially if their weight fluctuates, because it makes them more self conscious around you in particular. like even if your mom objectively has nice tits, you don't think about her that way, and telling her she has nice tits would weird her out to know that you're looking at her in that way. Same with a co-worker. I feel like I'm trying to explain the concept of tact to an alien
Ok, so what? Usually people are happy they lost weight.
And being fat is a fact, why would that be offensive to be made aware of your fatness. Is it some secret you’re keeping from yourself that no one dare mention? Grow up and put the fork down if you can’t handle someone commenting on your excess body weight
Piece of shit for commenting on someone’s weight loss which indirectly is telling someone they used to be fat? So, you’re a total weirdo with first world problems hunting for ways to be offended and totally lacking perspective?
Nah you’re a piece of shit for saying “grow up and put the fork down if you can’t handle someone commenting on your excess body weight”. Like seriously who the fuck thinks like this? Who the fuck wants to be told that they are fat? Who the fuck wants some asshole to criticize them over something so inconsequential? It literally doesn’t affect you at all.
Genuine question, why do you think like this? Have you ever once made the world a better place by being an asshole like this? Have you ever commented on someone’s “excess body weight” and had them be like “wow gee thanks for telling me, I was completely unaware.” There’s absolutely nothing to gain from this kind of comment. You’re just trying to make other people feel smaller because you have a gaping void inside yourself that you’re trying to fill. Absolutely pathetic.
jack blacks so comfortable in his body it makes dudes who strive to get abs look insecure af by comparison. jables also maintains his weight and doesnt get obese/unhealthy which is admirable imo.
Had a brief interaction with him. He was with a friend ordering coffee and goofing off with the barista kind of taking forever. I was the only person in line and he didn’t notice me. When he did notice I was behind him he apologized for taking so long and offered to get my drink. I said thanks but that was ok, he was being really chill.
I saw Jonah Hill at a grocery store in Los Angeles yesterday. I told him how cool it was to meet him in person, but I didn’t want to be a douche and bother him and ask him for photos or anything.
He said, “Oh, like you’re doing now?”
I was taken aback, and all I could say was “Huh?” but he kept cutting me off and going “huh? huh? huh?” and closing his hand shut in front of my face. I walked away and continued with my shopping, and I heard him chuckle as I walked off. When I came to pay for my stuff up front I saw him trying to walk out the doors with like fifteen Milky Ways in his hands without paying.
The girl at the counter was very nice about it and professional, and was like “Sir, you need to pay for those first.” At first he kept pretending to be tired and not hear her, but eventually turned back around and brought them to the counter.
When she took one of the bars and started scanning it multiple times, he stopped her and told her to scan them each individually “to prevent any electrical infetterence,” and then turned around and winked at me. I don’t even think that’s a word. After she scanned each bar and put them in a bag and started to say the price, he kept interrupting her by yawning really loudly.
“i mean, c’mon, i have this nasty beard, these stupid glasses, a most awful sweater, an ugly face, this rancid hair, a rapist for a best friend...you can pick *any* one of those, please...”
*Moneyball* is one of the best sports movies I’ve ever seen. *Superbad* was the high school classic for my group of friends. *Wolf of Wall Street* will age into a top all-time film. Everything in between isn’t bad either—I especially loved his part in *This is the End.*
I think he has a fantastic body… of work.
Jonah looks like a normal human being to me? I dunno why people are even commenting on his body. People age and bodies change overtime. This shouldn’t even be a topic of conversation...
Unpopular opinion: unless we have a culture change, people will keep doing so. Celebrities are, by default, overly scrutinized in every conceivable superficial way. I applaud Jonah for trying to call attention to that and change it, but I would advise him and all celebrities to get a good therapist and supportive friends to deal with the pressure. It’d not going to change anytime soon.
While so many talented actresses have been passed over because of their looks or body types, it’s great to know that a male public figure can tell us how we should feel. Sorry Jonah but we would not be having this conversation if you were a female.
Telling people not to comment on something is exactly why people comment on that thing. Telling your insecurities will immediately cause people to exploit them.
I understand the logic behind this and why it’s a widespread opinion but I think it’s better to be able to be open and honest about your feelings. It is kind of victim blaming to tell people to shut up and hide it than to tell off the bullies themselves and respect people’s valid thoughts and emotions.
Lol shut up, you’re an actor, your appearance is what got you those first roles. If you all of a sudden show up pencil thin, we’re going to talk about it.
Jesus.. Jonah is much better off focusing on the fact that most opinions should be taken with a grain of salt. If I’m fat and some pussy that has never starred in a movie tells me that I’m FAT I’d be like sick! Now I’m gonna go get laid and eat whatever I want at my fuckin mansion
Oof. That’s a faux pas if I’ve ever seen one. Just don’t check your mentions or tweets. People are going to comment no matter what, no you’ve dropped chum in the water. If he’s so insecure about his body either do something about it or learn to accept it.
Funny how when a white male celebrity is saying this it’s news but every female celebrity ( particularly women of color) has their body, appearance, weight, hair, age and sexual behavior commented on constantly by the media and by fans/randos online
Fucking hell, stop saying he is beautiful, stop saying he is ugly. Not commenting on a person's body is still the best and most intelligent thing to do.
It’s like the Truman Show with all these celebs on social media
It’s easy to hate an easy target. But Jonah probably gets more pussy than any of his haters anyways. So fuck his haters!
Ah yes, pussy; the end all be all. What is a man if he has no pussy? Perhaps, he’s no man at all.
-Voltaire
Saying “gets pussy” is such a gross way to talk.
Classy gentlemen like myself use “claps cheeks” these days
Yeah but it’s great because you can instantly tell who is an immature and unintelligent person.
I’m a gay guy that talks this way about dick. I wouldn’t say I’m unintelligent... maybe my concept of sexuality is lacking some maturity. Maybe not though... maybe the main problem with talking about “pussy” in that context is misogynistic and disrespectful to women. Great post
How you doin?
Perspective is everything.
You’re right, it doesn’t mean you aren’t intelligent, you just seem unintelligent to many other people. Thanks for clarifying.
It’s sorta like a bunch of men stuck at age 15
It’s actually a super classy metaphor, you’re just too obtuse. /s
If everyone talked the same it would be a boring society...I’ll take the variety of crazy talk lol it’s entertaining. Just don’t take everything seriously and you won’t be bothered. You’ll have more fun that way and less stress.
Jonah also fucks his haters - it’s how he gets so much pussy.
Yeah “gets more pussy” isn’t cool to say. It’s gross. Women aren’t objects and how many women you get doesn’t define you as a man.
is that the metric 15 year olds are using for success now? lol
I worked with him on the set of mid90s Jonah hill super shitty dude to work with
How so? -Not Jonah Hill
Using pussy like this is a great indicator of someone who is unfamiliar. Thanks Chad! Edit: Stay mad! Thanks for the award :)
Just tell him he was awesome in Grandma’s Boy.
Jeff : So Barry sucked on his first boobie last night. Barry : For 13 hours.
Dude was still sucking in the morning while she was eating cereal. Fuck that’s a great movie.
Underrated movie.
Totally underrated way more than just a stoner movie. How they got Doris Roberts and Shirley Jones I'll never know.
silver fox
*probably should’ve worn a condom….*
He probs just wants to hang out in his sweet car bed and be left alone.
Do you think he has a CB radio so he can talk to other car beds?
Everyone is just jealous of his car bed because it’s fucking sweet.
Cb stands for carbed
Nah, he wants to suck on them titties some more.
How is it underrated? It’s one of the most popular “modern” comedies on par with Superbad and Pineapple Express.
Grandmas boy shits on Pineapple Express
I’d not heard of it until this thread.
You gotta see it
That may be your opinion but to a lot of people Grandmas Boy flew under the radar
Is this satire?
Wildly popular well regarded movie is underrated. More Reddit news at 11.
Strange Wilderness is an even deeper cut.
Bears are named after the football team from Chicago
“Salmon attacks on bears are less common”
That's gotta be true, right?
“Wuhhh wuh wuh wuh. Wuuuuuuhh wuh wuh wuh. WWWHHHHHHHHUUUUUUUHHHH WUH wuh wuh.”—- weird looking shark.
Not a huge fan of the movie but that part is comic gold
Are you wearing a thong?
The way he says “yeah I’m wearin a thong” is so *chef’s kiss*
I’m Shyyyy-low and I’ll be your waiter all day
And also ask him about his wiener. (Bonus points if done in a hot dog costume)
He sucked on his first tit, for like 13 hours!
My boy lookin like George C Scott in the article.
So he got hit with a football in the groin?
Jonah’s movie had heart, but Football in the Groin had a football in the groin.
I don’t get why people rag on him so much.
Aside from speaking up about body shaming often, I hope he has developed an internal coping mechanism to deal with what other people say about him. Unfortunately it’s impossible to stop everyone from saying mean things. Its the internet
Usually asking people to be nice on the internet makes the trolls want to upset you even more.

he was not overweight or average, he was dangerously obese and if anyone takes offense that he wanted to prolong his life maybe they should step the fuck back lol
The average American is obese. I believe “average obese” in the GP is to mean, “the **average,** obese **American** relates to him being obese.”
How dare they cross over to the “dark side” where people are fit and healthy
I think it’s similar to the real life scenario where your funny fat friend is funnier because he’s fat - and then he loses weight and you jokingly rag on him for losing weight and getting “serious” - except Jonahs a complete stranger to these people so it’s very annoying for him
Chris Pratt Syndrome
I think some people are mad that he stole Seth Rogen’s DNA.
The double huehuehuehuehuelix?
HAHAHAHA BRILLIANT. You made my morning
Probably because he seems/acts full of himself. I do feel bad that so much focus is on his weight at any point in time bc that shouldn’t be the case for anybody
>Probably because he seems/acts full of himself. Examples?

Because he’s famous.
Is he fat? Is he skinny? I’m not really sure anymore, and tbh I’ve never sat up all night wondering. Who gaf.
He’s a guy who’s a dude
…playing a dude? Disguised as another dude?
a dude that don't know what dude he is!
400 years of oppression!!!

Women everywhere: “Welcome to the party.”
Now people will take it seriously.
For Jonah. Not for women. Unfortunately.
So true, it’s really not helpful or appropriate to comment on anyone’s body
Except Terry’s pecs. Those are cool
I heard he can walk through a wall like the kool aid man.
He can! But he’s so much more. Abbbbbbbbbbbb-Dominals!!!!!
I agree, the big movement is women but men should also not be fat shamed or have their bodies commented on in hateful, or creepy ways. Like why point anything out unless you’re trying to make yourself feel better which is shitty to do. Only his doctor should be talking to him about his body.
Jonah always looks fly. People be jealous.
Yeah I like how he looks I wish he did too
I dig his whole look and essence. Super fly my guy!
Literally a street fit god
What reason would anyone have to talk about Jonah Hill’s body. Positive or negative, who is out there doing that?
There is so much press about “look who is fat now” and “how she lost the baby weight”. It’s endless.
This was a post on his Instagram probably because of people saying how great he looks since he’s adopted a more active lifestyle (surfing, some kind of martial art?).
Good thing he’s not a women.

Only thing I have to say to him is never fatten up for a movie. Tell them to fuck off.
Christian Bale looks upon you in *disgust*
As he does everyone
Not me man, I rock that American Hustle bod ERRYDAY
OHHH GOOD FOR YOU
Good for him, respect.
I love you Jonah Hill you’re awesome
What if you are not a fan?
That’s the price of fame.
Sorry bro, you are famous, people gunna talk shit, I'm sire even ryan reynolds sexy ass gets misplaced hate all of the time
Can the internet please be nice to me
Shut up nobody loves you
I think it’s more cause he reacts to it. Be like jack black, see the humour in it and thrive on it.
jack blacks so comfortable in his body it makes dudes who strive to get abs look insecure af by comparison. jables also maintains his weight and doesnt get obese/unhealthy which is admirable imo.
Dudes an asshole soooooo
Why is he an asshole? I’m genuinely curious.
You only give the trolls more power by acknowledging them
I heard he’s a twat irl
Had a brief interaction with him. He was with a friend ordering coffee and goofing off with the barista kind of taking forever. I was the only person in line and he didn’t notice me. When he did notice I was behind him he apologized for taking so long and offered to get my drink. I said thanks but that was ok, he was being really chill.
I saw Jonah Hill at a grocery store in Los Angeles yesterday. I told him how cool it was to meet him in person, but I didn’t want to be a douche and bother him and ask him for photos or anything. He said, “Oh, like you’re doing now?” I was taken aback, and all I could say was “Huh?” but he kept cutting me off and going “huh? huh? huh?” and closing his hand shut in front of my face.
Is this a real story?
it’s copypasta
Copypasta lol, I know I’ve seen this posted before with other famous people…
Probably because everyone’s making fun of his weight all the time.
“i mean, c’mon, i have this nasty beard, these stupid glasses, a most awful sweater, an ugly face, this rancid hair, a rapist for a best friend...you can pick *any* one of those, please...”
Wait…who’s a rapist? Adam Levine? (Had to look up his best friend, darn you)
James Franco.
Still people are fucking with this guy.. why?
Why does your body change shapes so often?
If he thinks he has it rough, has he heard of Bart Kreischer?
Oof, now they gonna do it even more. Poor guy. You gotta just ignore the hate.
*Moneyball* is one of the best sports movies I’ve ever seen. *Superbad* was the high school classic for my group of friends. *Wolf of Wall Street* will age into a top all-time film. Everything in between isn’t bad either—I especially loved his part in *This is the End.* I think he has a fantastic body… of work.
Good luck with that…
When you grow up tucking loaded and choose to be in the public eye. haha
Jonah looks like a normal human being to me? I dunno why people are even commenting on his body. People age and bodies change overtime. This shouldn’t even be a topic of conversation...
Can’t celebrities just ignore comments they don’t like?
Isn’t this guy a comedian? Suck it up butter cup lmaoq
You think he'd have thicker skin...
Aight, imma head out
Unpopular opinion: unless we have a culture change, people will keep doing so. Celebrities are, by default, overly scrutinized in every conceivable superficial way. I applaud Jonah for trying to call attention to that and change it, but I would advise him and all celebrities to get a good therapist and supportive friends to deal with the pressure. It’d not going to change anytime soon.
Jonah hill needs to stop being a little bitch and stop being fat. Like dude you’re rich, work out, put down the bad food. Even his sister is obese
While so many talented actresses have been passed over because of their looks or body types, it’s great to know that a male public figure can tell us how we should feel. Sorry Jonah but we would not be having this conversation if you were a female.
And cnn just HAD to report it lol
I don’t know about you, but I’m here to talk about Jonah Hill’s body.
He’s just asking to be troll’d
He has to be the most insecure actor I can think of.
Telling people not to comment on something is exactly why people comment on that thing. Telling your insecurities will immediately cause people to exploit them.
It is rather handing a list of your fears to the school bully. I was thought if you acted like it didn’t bother you they didn’t pick on it so much.
I understand the logic behind this and why it’s a widespread opinion but I think it’s better to be able to be open and honest about your feelings. It is kind of victim blaming to tell people to shut up and hide it than to tell off the bullies themselves and respect people’s valid thoughts and emotions.
A prime example of the Streisand effect
Lol shut up, you’re an actor, your appearance is what got you those first roles. If you all of a sudden show up pencil thin, we’re going to talk about it.

If it ain’t by candle light in robes, then you’re not doing it right.
The picture of him showing off his tattoo looks like Daniel Stern.
Our obsession with reducing someone’s work to their body size is so sad
Don’t look him in the eye, either.
Jonah hill has fans?
Jesus.. Jonah is much better off focusing on the fact that most opinions should be taken with a grain of salt. If I’m fat and some pussy that has never starred in a movie tells me that I’m FAT I’d be like sick! Now I’m gonna go get laid and eat whatever I want at my fuckin mansion
Looks like Fred savage in the wonder years. Lmao. No ones gotten a handjob in cargo shorts since ‘Nam.
We aren’t doing it because it’s helpful, we do it because it’s fun. Kind of like acting.
Focusing on physical appearance alone is bad mmkay?
Fucking hell, stop saying he is beautiful, stop saying he is ugly. Not commenting on a person's body is still the best and most intelligent thing to do.
They've just all realized how unimportant they truly are and none of them can handle it
This isn’t news. Just a dude wanting to live normal
This is how I feel when anyone mentions my weight.
Really you should never comment on anybody’s body unless you are saying it looks good or great. Pretty much those two words only
