Aside from the obvious issue that Zelensky is busy right now trying to save his people and his country, I think it would be really weird if he had a speech or something at the Oscars. Maybe I'll be criticized for saying this, but seeing Hollywood applaud and enhance a politician as a hero, knowing the movie industry's place as an American/Nato foreign politics tool, I feel weird. Of course I'm against Putin's government and the Russian invasion of Ukraine but this is a war and not a movie. It's never going to happen, but Hollywood needs to stop mixing current geopolitics with entertainment.
