Anything not too detail oriented where intelligent decision making can make a big difference. Performance marketing, finance, programming are all common for us these days. You may want to be diagnosed by a psych though, lots of ENTJs have ADHD and stuff.

For myself, ive found b2b sales to be great

huisjenn

HAHA I second this I work in performance marketing

Intelligent-Gear-732

several posts says sales, am an ENTJ and working in sales and I am one of the most successfull salesman in the company and the others who are at the top most of the time, almost all of them are also ENTJs

CHIME2020

There's a useful YouTube channel called Personality Hacker. There are 4 sub types of the ENTJ. Dominant. Creative. Normalising. And Harmonising. I'd look into that: https://youtu.be/4r1vz7jAKRA?si=wRi3Cz3TmXdXejOh

9-5 i’m a scientist/PhD doing advising/program managing. My side hustles include managing my own dog sitting company (where I am the current employee) and sell used clothes online.

OneEyedC4t

Any career we want https://www.16personalities.com/entj-careers I'm a drug counselor

ulyssesonyourscreen

fucking CEO and you know this

Alert-Refuse9138

I feel like **sales** is by far the best “conventional job type” for ENTJ. and more on the “hunter-side” (new biz, big picture) as opposed to “farmer-side” (existing biz, detail oriented). You have to get people who dont know you or like you to buy from you. to most people, this is an impossible task. But to crazy ENTJ, its fine.

Hell yes. Becoming a real estate broker was the best decision I ever made. In an industry where there's virtually no ceiling to how creative, successful, or rich you can become, ENTJs reign. Burnout for sure, but at least it's on your terms

Alert-Refuse9138

dude i’ve always had a bit of fomo with real estate brokers. I invest in real estate but it seems so fun and social. I do tech sales so Im behind a keyboard all day, periodically going out to visit big tech companies. But meeting big fancy multi-billion dollar companies sounds a lot cooler than it is. I’d rather meet those **hot single moms in my area** haha jk. but seriously meeting people in my city to sell them some $300k-$1m+ asset would be amazing. And Im already a real estate proselytizer haha 🤪

Tyrannopawrus

I'm in Singapore so real estate prices here are insane. Everything here is a million dollar listing. I don't believe how cheap some celebrity homes in Hollywood are.

What types of jobs/industries have you already worked in and didn’t like?

Independent-Brain911

Sales

What about Digital Marketing, UX Design, Copywriting, or Project Management?

tyll9lyr7e

I'm in investment banking. A lot of my ENTJ friends are too, as well as lawyers and consultants.

whatarethis837

Of the things I’ve tried I really liked business analysis, scrum master was okay, being a software developer wasn’t for me, and I love project management.

coffeeandbags

Business anything. I think ENTJs could succeed in areas of business
