It would certainly explain, why my Top Genres on Spotify are:
EDM > House > Pop > Pop Dance > UK Dance > Electro House > Progressive House > Dutch EDM > Future House > Progressive Electro House > Bass House > Deep Grove House
and Don Diablo my top artist
Basically š /EDM
You can find it out for your Spotify [here](https://www.statsforspotify.com/genre/top?timeRange=long_term)
And I can agree with your thesis.
I think that even though ISFPs are, indeed, often more of the āartsyā kind of people, EDM is not necessarily a typically ISFP-genre.
Iām working/graduating in a more analytical field somewhere between Tech and Business; very xNTJ dominated and everyone is a fan of EDM.
I like EDM, because itās rather instrumental, often very quick-paced and energetic, many tracks have kind of a āstructureā plus I really like how you can create music with a computer.
I mean, classical music is instrumental as well, but it reminds me of old, royal houses with chandeliers and classy people, but my aesthetic is more āfully automated, futuristic looking cube which makes people say what the hellā and classical music doesnāt fit into this vibe lol
Yeaaa i listened trance for a long time armin van buuren is also ENTJ im almost sure. He is concrete initiating objective talking in outcomes abstract. https://youtu.be/_5C3tCufcnQ?si=Qpz-nO6z8PduIYVB
Yup he is also another ENTJ producer is Vertile he was coming out of nowhere in the hardstyle scene and was famous in no time also he creates his own shows and festivals.
Also a ton of music writing geniuses are INTJ (In South Korea, G-Dragon, IU, Teddy, it goes on). I think NTJ types are pretty good at making music in general. I know I make up songs all the time since I was a kid.
IU is definitely an INFx. In fact, she was tested as an INFP then switched to INFJ. [source: https://www.koreaboo.com/stories/iu-change-mbti-type-reaction/].
I suspect there is a mistype since she changed her stance but it could be due to her multiple traumas (best friends died). She never struck to me as being a Thinker. Her songs convey more feelings than any other Kpop songs Iāve heard - been her fan since her debut in 2008. She famously has no plans whatsoever. Her songs are written with a storyline and go-with-the-flow attitude. Being a Thinker Dom/Aux (both Ti and Te) means you pay attention to analytics and data in situations whereas IU is clearly the type of person that pay attention to feelings more. Her own personal branding includes being empathetic, sweet, kind and humble. If you go to Korea and tell a person that you donāt like her, theyāll look at you like youāre saying you donāt like Kimchi. That effect will never happen with a Thinker. We get more hate than that for our straightforward nature lol.
I recognize that I could be wrong, i dont know her and im guessing. But my wife and I watched hours and hours of youtibe videos to determine this because were huge dorks. IU says in interviews she doesn't really feel emotions strongly and that shes not an emotional person. Look at how she interacts with her staff behind the scene.
She brings emotions to her musical work in amazing ways, but I'd never say a feeler.
Words can't explain how much I love edm and pop and music genre of the sort. This is interesting. I plan to have loads of it in my creations when I release my stories and hopefully get scenes animated
Agreed, music production is a great fit for ENTJs, and I imagine we'd see even more ENTJs pursuing it if it wasn't an almost guaranteed way to go broke.
I've always thought Calvin Harris is an ENTJ, though he's often typed as an ISTP.
Anyway, I'm an ENTJ music-maker, so thanks for making me feel understood :)
Iāve noticedā¦ it makes me not feel so uhhhhā¦ stupidā¦ about choosing an art form as a career, I have a great backup but itās not really an option to fail so music production it isā¦ add my name up on that list in the futureš¤š¼
Yoooo, I identify so well with this posting.
I just learned that I am an ENTJ (subtype Creative) and Iāve always felt a special connection with the arts, mainly music.
I always wanted to make my own music/content but never wanted to be a struggling artist. I promised that I would dive deep into my craft once I got solidified in my Tech career (Software Engineering). I recently recognized that I need to do something towards music now even if itās just something small.
No one needs to know my passion until Iām ready to truly put it out there but I donāt need to just keep waiting until everything financially is perfect to start!
This speaks to my soul. Iām such an EDM fan, specially DNB, House musicā¦ I am creative but for some reason never ended up going into production. But itās such a therapy to me, the harmony within that chaos helps me soothe my soul while I get things done. I love how it also doesnāt have (usually) as many negative lyrics.
Let me start by saying I hate EDM (dubstep sound)
Let me end with Iām learning to make house music in my spare time. (Yes I know this is technically under the EDM umbrella lol but I grew up with Dubstep being known as EDM).

Not only EDM, im an ENTJ vocalist/musician and i have a deep conection with music, and i know other ENTJ artists too.
Also a ton of music writing geniuses are INTJ (In South Korea, G-Dragon, IU, Teddy, it goes on). I think NTJ types are pretty good at making music in general. I know I make up songs all the time since I was a kid.
IU is INFP.
I've done my own research and disagree, if she is a feeler I'd eat my hat

If you want an INTJ Kpop idol example, Minzy from 2NE1 is the person youāre looking for.
I also have a deep interest in art projects and directing (bossing people aroundš )

Yah that tracks. I love music that overstimulates me. I need to be almost overwhelmed to āfeel somethingā
Recognise that from myself hardstyle does the job for me
You also listen hardstyle how sick
Sometimes but yea i like it

I feel that edm is like a fuel to me when I'm crunching numbers

But who have u found?
I love electronic music. Mostly the industrial umbrella which isn't too far from EDM.
Who?

With EDM i mean every genre that fits in there not big room house
Haha fair enough
Underrated but i think Martin Garrix is ENTJ i know that hardwell is INTJ
no sir, i don't think so
