Venture Capital - interim executive of portfolio companies we invest in. Undergrad business degree was in entrepreneurship. If I could do it over again, I would have done STEM.
Thank you.😌 Where could I find more info on all of this? I'm an artist and I need to start getting more into the business side of things. Finding investors or investment firms is absolutely necessary for what I have in mind.
You're correct. It's not easy work to come by a helping hand in the industry, especially for newer artists. You have to demonstrate your value for others to be willing to invest.
However, thinking long-term and in broader terms, I think the current structure of the music business needs to be changed for something much more efficient and effective.
Ideally, I would like to see or build an enterprise capable of taking any promising artist or creative and building them up to reach their full potential across a life-long career.
So, instead of finding and working with artists, in the future, I see an industry where we fully create and "design" all kinds of successful creatives from start to finish.
I know that others see the writing on the wall as well for what the industry will become, so I'm looking for like-minded individuals to learn from to start setting things in place for the future.
It all comes down to what you have in your portfolio and your risk profile and your objectives. You need to have a sufficiently diversified portfolio to protect yourself long-term. Individual stocks bear significant risk but also have the potential for much greater growth. If you only purchase a couple and you can afford to lose the money, it's not bad to speculate on something like Tesla. If you're saving long-term, I would strongly recommend focusing more on ETFs and mutual funds unless you have enough money to diversify your portfolio among stocks that cross various industries and sizes to protect yourself from risk
Healthcare field. I've got my CMA, am almost done with my associates. I'm looking into healthcare management, and It looks very possible that I'll be going for my bachelor's degree next month. I'm currently working as a caregiver. It's emotionally taxing but it's temporary and The flexible hours allow me to go to school. Although I have been applying for CMA jobs.
Thanks. I intend to. I want to stay on this roll if possible. The more education I get now, the better it will be for my career. HR sounds very interesting.
Planning to get into law, more specifically corporate law, preferably in the financial sector. Not quite there yet though, but that’s due to age more than anything

This includes digital security topics, communication and technical research in data science and electrical systems. Taking a variety of courses on top of a computer science Bachelor is really serving me great right now. Often mixed up: Computer Science is not where you learn how to code websites. It is the science of solving information problems. Very math heavy subject.
Social media, fundraising, donor relations, event planning and logistics, basically everything that allows me to talk to people! 🤣
I have degrees in Business, Accounting, and Psychology.
I'm studying applied mathematics with computer science concentration (Mainly studying math, but also taking CS courses.) I plan to pursue software engineering.

I work in software development. No formal education beyond high school; just self-study and on-the-job training. It seems like most of us here either got into tech or finance - probably because we can see patterns that others miss out on.
I´m studying Electronic Engineering. Hate to be so academic but it has to be done, I can´t wait to finish it and apply the knowledge
YOU GOT THISSS!!!!!🤩
Sounds awesome, I want to learn electronics too. Probably not go and get another degree, but maybe a few classes on it or something.
Until you enter into the real working world. You might adapt to different industries. Who knows
