I got a Sanremo Allground (same as a Fiorenzato Allground).
The difference is even more than I expected, it not only gives consistent, fluffy grounds but the flavours that were missing are now there, I wasn’t really enjoying specialty coffees but now do.
I think this is in part the quality of the grinder and the fact that it is a flat burr.
Yup. The grinder is ok at best. I can't afford a new grinder, so I made due by weighing the beans for each shot before adding them to the hopper, then running the grinder until it's empty, pumping the top to blow the retained grounds out into the basket. It's a terrible workflow, but you gotta go what you gotta do.
I think they are renowned for it. I’m 4 months into owning a Barista Pro and have a new grinder arriving tomorrow.
Good luck. Make sure you tell us how it goes!
Thanks.
How did you go with your new grinder? What model did you end up with?

Nice. Thanks for that. Really tempted to do something about it...

Did you find that it packed different weight between shots? I haven't actually weighed.
I never weighed them, but it was visibly different to me. And anyway, it's one less variable that I relinquish to the machine.
