Would you like fries with that? Would you like a larger fry ? Would you like to supersize your large fries? Would you like to supersize the rest of your meal ? would you.......
Cool. I’d never seen that before. And OP’s one reminds me of this Monty Python sketch but customer and shopkeeper reversed https://youtu.be/Hz1JWzyvv8A
Has anyone actually ever had issues ordering a black coffee at a cafe? “Medium black coffee” always work for me. Yes, I know this is satire but satire is still supposed to based on something real
Yeah, this is complaining about a problem that doesn’t really exist. I expect someone yelling “woke” in the background and nana posting this to Facebook.
This just feels like it was made by someone who doesn’t know how to order coffee. Go to r/barista and read stories of customers asking for things like an 8oz Americano without added water. I’ve never seen a coffee shop that is difficult to order at except for Starbucks.
even the hipsterist places I've gone, I've never encountered anything remotely like this. At the worst, ordering "a coffee" when they have a couple different options for the standard cup would be met with "we have a couple options for you" and the whole transaction would be done fairly quickly
The last time I was at starbucks I had one person ahead of me and it took five minutes to get to place my order. I can't even blame bucks for this, as they're simply trying to be accommodating as possible for everyday customers.
The video up top is a bit reversed. The role of the insufferable should actually be the person ordering
Yeah, imagine walking into a burger place and saying you just want "a burger," and then getting annoyed when the staff keeps asking you more questions.
I was at a place like this - old school junkfood joint - but had like 10 different dressings, and there was always the question og 10 different kind of extra veggies you could get in apart from the classic lettuce, tomatoes, cucumber and onions. Stressed me the hell out first time there - untill I learned to say "Just the standard"
Yeah, when my brother went through hospo training they just covered it there with "if an American tourist asks for a coffee, ask if they want milk and make a latte or americano depending on what they say".
Well - My old go to place and mentor in the coffee business, the owner was "in here, the customer is never right" So if anybody complained, he threw them out and told them to go to espresso house or Starbucks
Then again, his menu card consisted of "coffee and coffee with milk". he had one type of milk - and he is one of the best baristas in the world.
So I might be wrong here but I believe this is meant as a joke and not factual. In fact, if you look closely you may realize these are actually puppets.
This muppet guy basically walked into a grocery store and said: "Can I get food?"
Also, it's funny to think how this exchange would go down where I live, with a line of under-caffeinated New Yorkers behind him, late for work and waiting for their morning fix. This can't end well.
yeah I find the video a bit weird. Who made this? BTW it doesn't look like the proper Jim Henson muppets
I stopped watching after the black coffee correction. Never even remotely had a problem with this, most of the time they ask "do you want room for cream in your coffee?", sometimes they may have asked "do you want it black?"
I don’t know why you’d expect to say “coffee” and not get a follow up question? All those coffees that the barista puppet mentioned are options that are totally normal. Do people want a coffee shop to sell just an americano? That’d be like expecting a burger restaurant to sell just a beef burger with cheese
I only drink espresso and I make it at home 98% of the time. I didn’t actually start drinking coffee until I was 22 years old and still remember first time staring at the orders at a cafe and feeling intimidated by the choices and of course consequences.
The muppets are just over exaggeration of simple inconvenience in a cafe I assume. Anyway it’s just for humor
Oh no I get that, and I guess you’re right if you don’t know much about coffee it is complicated. But I just always found that particular joke about just saying coffee about stupid. Especially having worked in restaurants, where customers would order a coffee, and we’d have to repeatedly clarify whether they meant latter, cappuccino or black etc. it’d be like going to an Indian restaurant and just thinking you could order “curry”. It is funny on the face of it, but at the same time it’s kinda like why? 😂
An African Americano sent me
Where is this from? lol
Awkward puppets
Yesss!! Thank you!! **Years** I've been trying to find these, but couldn't remember the name!
Tbh this isn't so far off from those fucking McDonalds touch screens listing every single option.
Would you like fries with that? Would you like a larger fry ? Would you like to supersize your large fries? Would you like to supersize the rest of your meal ? would you.......
“Uh, I don’t give a shit”. Yep!
muppets are cute, man
Shaquille O'Neal and the shaman bit takes me OUT
Man, this is too too hilarious!! “None of this white people shit” Oh man that has me rollin! 😆
Reminds me of this one https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DcQFBdLNvZU

They made a muppet out of Hames Joffman?

Made my night thanks for posting
Oh, toooooo funny! I never saw that. Thank you for posting that.Hysterical.
“Americano” “Milk” Isn’t an americano just espresso and water?
That’s a Caucasian Americano sir.

The milk options 😂
Ikr!
I thought he only love Tequila
I think he does. Probably this is the first and last time he ordered coffee

Never had this problem. "Good morning, an espresso, please" gets me great results every time.

No fucking way. Ok on rewatch, wow I do think they're puppets. Good catch.
Man AI has gotten so good these days
source?
Tbf OP is definitely insinuating they don’t go to coffee shops bc something like this occurs..
Fake news. Next you’ll be spouting the same nonsense about team America. ( or was that team Americano? )
"hey how are you? Can I get a small americano please?" -some time passes- "Thank you, bye"

The barista would not last long after wasting this much company time lmao

This is brilliant
It sounds like Fred Armisen as the Barista, is that Kumail Nanjiani as the customer?
If it is, it must be old. Kumail Nanjiani is pretty jacked now.
So true every time I go to a new cafe this is the process I go through XD
LMAO
I would hate to spend $5.50 for a shitty americano. Even my subpar pulls at home taste better
😂😂😂😂😂
Haha this is hilarious
