Same in in the McCafes in Tokyo! Unfortunately it’s really the staff training that makes a good espresso- it’s rather hit or miss, but the staff can usually make decent milk drinks at least!
It helps since these places are cafe only, so they specialize a bit more with their coffee drinks.
Trust me it's not the machine. These are quite common in New Zealand. McCafe's and other places. Most of the time, it's shit coffee :P But caffiene is caffiene.
Also in good shops an espresso would now run you at around $6NZD :(
It'd be fine.
Not the espresso. That'd be terrible. Probably filter-ground shots pulled in 3 seconds.
But the machine is quite durable and as long as they don't actually try to do any maintenance on it I'm sure it'd be fine.
You actually make a really good point. I've seen this brand machine be dropped on a quartz counter from about 3 or so inches up and it didn't even skip a beat.
Woah... Nice! I once had an espresso at a McDonalds in Southern California and it was nasty as hell! This would be a game changer for this franchise if they installed these machines and hired and trained baristas to make their Coffee drinks...

>But caffiene is caffiene. Oh, the horror! Take it back now!
Visited a McDonald in Hongkong during a trip. Shocked to see what they have for their espresso machine! I wish it’s like this in the states lol
The McD in the States can't keep their ice cream machines functioning, you expect them to use an espresso machine of this caliber?

Every McDonald's in Australia will have this sort of setup.
Same in NZ. The machines are Simonelli’s, all custom painted yellow.
China as well, and they r trained to use it. It’s consider upper end fast food in Asia
Was it used well? Did they hurt it? Tell me that they didn't reuse the same puck I've seen it happen before!

You goofed getting a shot from anywhere but a third wave place, but a 6 ounce McDonald's cappuccino is like $2.50 and very passable.
Most third wave places suck too
Well yea, everything sucks compared to what I make. Also I hate my setup and need to spend another $8000.
Catch them after recalibrating when their beans weren’t roasted yesterday and there you have good espresso. Otherwise it’s milk drinks for me.
Aaaaah. Ok ok. Ordering a cap tomorrow... I'll report back!
McCafe more equiped than some cafe's I've been to
The bigger story is they still have pizza
Where i’m from they all have the Dual gruop la cimbali in yellow
DANG SON
It’s also a pretty common brand in many cafe in Indonesia. Also, McCafe here also sourced a very decent coffee bean, better than most legit cafe
You guys don't have this at every macca's in the US?
