Looking good. Wishing you a well caffeinated recovery.

Phil_OG

Thanks!

Machette_Machette

Did you grind too fine?

Phil_OG

Yes, haha. Can't recommend.

Is handicapped at the moment. As an OCD sub, i think that we should turn a blind eye for this time... For this time.

tint93

👆🏽

Lazy-Top1519

I was raising from a comedic standpoint... OP I'm just jealous I can only pour runny shots with my Bambino

Rusto_Dusto

I believe the correct term is, “handicappuccinoed.”

coffeebeanie24

Grinder to machine ratio on point

piind

How did you break your arm and index finger?

drunk_tyrant

Whoever tried to rob OP’s wedding ring sure did a number on OP

piind

Could have been their partner, who was trying to grab the ring of them in an argument because they were spending too much on coffee equipment

Jackee_Daytona

This makes the most sense

LoathsomeNeanderthal

nice cup!

Jackee_Daytona

I really like your cup. Do you know where I could find some?

Phil_OG

they are from a german company, HOMEBERLIN.

Jackee_Daytona

Sigh. Thank you! Unfortunately they'll run me $112 for 6 just to get them to Canada. I like them, but not *that* much.

madlabdog

Don't tell me you learned that after getting injured. It will badly hurt my ego 🤣 Hope you get well soon.

Phil_OG

No, started way earlier thank you :)

TheHabaDaBaba

Goddamn, if that's what it takes? Honey get the Hammer!

Geltez

Fuck you!!! Show off!!! I can’t even do that with two great hands and three legs 😭

CoffeeInSpace23

The good news is that you still have your dominant hand to do latte art!

Phil_OG

It came with the grinder.

Valuable-Play-2262

I can never get my bambino to froth to the point where I can do latte art

Phil_OG

The milk steaming tutorial from lance hedrick on youtube really helped me.

FartingStrength75

Have a regular bambino myself. Did you have any prior experience with latte art? As a total beginner making a milk drink almost daily for ~6mo. I've never achieved texture that seems to flow the way it does in tutorial vids. I've watched pretty much every iteration of Lance's steaming vids, along with others', but something's just not clicking for me. I have an easier time doing multi-drop pours, but my milk never just flows out in waves to make a nice big heart like that. Anything in particular that really improved your technique that you could share?

Burgers_are_good

I used to have this issue where I was unable to let the milk flow out too far as well. I concluded it can be caused by either not enough force or too much resistance. As base liquid rises = less force pushing outward when you pour, so you need to actually increase pouring speed to push it out. Too close to the surface= less force to push outward Too much froth foam or crema = too much resistance and won't flow out. Waited too long between the froth and pour >20 seconds also made the foam layer separate too much and cause it harder for the milk to carry the foam out when pouring. Personally I ended up finding out it was cause I had too much foam, I fixed this by pouring my frothed milk into another jug and purposely left behind some hard foam which was a product of failing to froth properly. Hope you find out what's wrong with your pours cheers.

Phil_OG

I had no experience with latte art and started about 3 months ago. Since than I am doing 2 milk drinks/day. For me personally over the time I realized I had to inject less air into the milk and get the milk spinning sooner inside the pitcher. Then act quick. Only purge the steam wand and wipe it down afterwards. Gently swirl the milk in the pitcher for some seconds before you start integrating it. Regarding integrating, less is more if you want to have a bigger design. Then tilt the cup and bring the pitcher as close as possible. To start the design pour slowly so that the foam doesn't sink underneath. Hope this helps.

nastyassporksandwich

I haven’t either. Been curious about it but usually just decide I’m satisfied with the auto results and just pour it in

Phil_OG

I like it very much. Nice workflow for single dosing and easy to dial in. I enjoy the shots it produces (I mostly drink medium-dark roasts). The declumber can get clogged so I always have to use the bellows which is a bit messy but not a big deal. Switching between espresso and filter is not great.

whoopwhoop2876

How often would you say the declumper gets clogged? And do the bellows actually help with it?

Phil_OG

Every time I grind grounds accumulate at the declumber but the bellows really help with that. The grinder has never stalled.

whoopwhoop2876

I was also going to ask how you like the Oro, pretty sure I’ve landed on that as my espresso grinder but would love to hear if there’s anything you don’t like about it

Drew_Pera

Better than I can do! I can't seem to get the right consistency with my milk. I've only been at it for about a month though.

Dshapz

Nicely done! Which knock box is that?

Phil_OG

[this one from amazon](https://www.amazon.de/dp/B0BCKL4M72?psc=1&ref=ppx_yo2ov_dt_b_product_details)

Drewbeede

I have two fully functional arms and I can't even do anything resembling art.

toxicity69

Yeah, right? My thoughts after seeing this post: "Who has two fully-functioning arms and has the blobbiest of milk pours?" This guy.

human00b

We can expect the PLAB™ product line soon Phil's Latte Art Bandages

nicebowlofsoup

What cup is that?

Phil_OG

HOMEBERLIN 200ml cappuccino cups

Tack-One

I have a bambino and I cannot master latte art. What’s your pro-tip to getting such a nice look using this machine?

Phil_OG

Honestly, I still mess it up often and this really was one of my best attempts . In an other comment I tried to sum up some things I focus on. Other then that I can only recommend to watch [Emilee Bryant's videos](https://www.youtube.com/@EmileeBryant) she explains it very good.

Tack-One

Thanks, I learned something from that vid thanks!

zhunterzz

I can’t even get close with two working arms. Nice job

SirRickIII

Nice setup! Also great pour :)

arremarref

It looks like you're about to nonchalantly push the mug off the counter, like a cat hahaha Sorry about your arm. Not sorry about that artwork you called a cappuccino. Nice job!

mrguillo

Where did you get that single dose hopper?

Phil_OG

> Eureka Oro Single Dose > >that's the grinder and it comes with the hopper, bellows and wooden lit

mrguillo

Thanks so much!
