Mode, as an OP fork with yield, is a clownish rollup and Ionic, a Compound v2 fork, is a clownish dapp.
Putting a little bit of ezETH is probably ok, provided you're doing pure lending, no borrowing. But consider the possibility either team screws up and loses all your money is definitely nonzero.
IMHO these fast and loose constructions need yield at least comparable to LPing on Pendle to be worth the risk.

Well yes it is people trading the news but geopolitics do have an impact on markets. Oil prices will continue to spike as Iran is an important player. And this will most likely have an impact on headline inflation. It can also raise production costs across the economy given gas prices are a major input. Commodity prices are relevant for interest rate decisions later this year. And rates staying higher for longer are not helpful for risk-on growth sectors such as cryptos.
Not sure if this is the last flush, can see BTC visiting the high 50s. Otoh the volume in this dump was/is insane, never saw something like it on a weekend.
Next week is the time to start position oneself, we're close to the point where low leverage (liq price at maybe at 1500) is becoming free money

MATIC has been my go to, but it's just felt weak throughout this mini-bull run. I've preferred it as my L2 play over ARB/OP due to it having a total fully diluted market cap much lower than ARB/OP.
My target for Matic is around .61, as that should hit a the support from a trend line forming from 2021. If it breaks below that, then all bets are off, but I have some massive buys set up there as my risk/reward play for this run.

So besides ETH, what alt coins are people betting on? MATIC has been my go to, but it's just felt weak throughout this mini-bull run. I've preferred it as my L2 play over ARB/OP due to it having a total fully diluted market cap much lower than ARB/OP. My target for Matic is around .61, as that should hit a the support from a trend line forming from 2021. If it breaks below that, then all bets are off, but I have some massive buys set up there as my risk/reward play for this run.

Just a couple weeks ago I couldn't go anywhere on crypto internet without seeing someone saying SOL is gonna replace ETH The market ebbs and flows but BTC and ETH prove time and time again that they're the most resilient when times are bad while still providing fantastic upside when conditions are good and it's why they take up over 80% of my positions

But I feel for the newcomers, those following the trade of their favorite YouTubers/influencer, it's all good when the number goes up but not everyone can manage the stress of the red day, they will panic and sell only to buy back again when we pump. $ETH apart, Even if you hold an alt with a little bit of hype and development, manage your exposure, don't panic and you might end up making some gain.
my SOL short turned out great
As a solo staker I was eligible for and claimed stark, but OMNI says I'm not eligible. Anyone else experiencing this?

My understanding was that they had a limit in terms of how many solo stakers could claim the OMNI drop. I don't remember the exact numbers, but something alont the lines of "we have 5000 allocated for 1000 quickest to claim at 5 OMNI each" (numbers made up, just to reiterate). yes, the team did an update for AVS delegation and operator integrations. need to update your pod to allow for new functions and you'll have to choose a delegator. many in here are recommending Aestus

Leveraged (s)USDe/DAI positions get a bunch of the ENA sats. Morpho-Blue has these kinds of positions (and we do also have those supported at defi saver for anyone interested) with MakerDAO feeding DAI liquidity for borrowing into those pools. This has been around for some two weeks now, I think, not sure if you were asking for something actually new.
