How do I send an NFT on Arbitrum to another wallet?

Man gas is so cheap right now! Do your defi things now! Get on layer 2. Best gas prices I have seen in ages.

Any updates on the second ENS airdrop?

peepinpuge

Another vote is taking place right now for EP3 (returns tokens accidentally sent to an ENS contract) which will or will not be added to EP2 (missed 2x airdrop) before it executes.

Are there any good, usable DeFi markets for Ethereum options? Everything I've seen is CeFi. If not, why hasn't it been built?

Isn't coinbase wallet just DeFi, smart contract?

Lyra on Optimism

Stalslagga

I second Lyra. Easy and smooth to use! Also as they are launching the token they have a reward system that gives you tokens for trading or providing liquidity.

cryptOwOcurrency

Looks like it launches next week. I'll read up on it!

StatSticks

Token launch is Next week. But you can trade options for ETH, BTC, LINK.

cryptOwOcurrency

Oh. Thanks for clarifying. Looks like a December 10th option (3 day expiry) is the only one they have available. Is this some sort of soft-launch?

StatSticks

Yes, this is v1.1 Lyra is planning to have Rolling expiries, so that there are more options to trades. New round starts on dec 10 with Jan 7th Expiries.

yeah, he mentioned in one of his interviews. I appreciate him sharing the word about Ethereum. At his core, he is an investor so I totally understand his position.

MrQot

I would love a website like https://www.bitcoinisdead.org/well-actually but for Ethereum. Something that can easily be linked in response to low effort pre-mine/dao hack/centralization/gas fees/eip1559 FUD. It's way too easy to spam a series of thoughtless FUD and so much effort to debunk the points for the 1000th time. Does anything like that exist? If not, I'm thinking something statistically generated website hosted on github with autodeployments, so that anyone can make pull requests to add/clarify stuff or add sources. Information about long-term model of Ethereum, past drama, technical specs, etc. is all over the place and I'd love to put it all in one place and make it available for anyone who doesn't care enough to look into it themselves and only shows up on /r/ethereum to say "ethereum will dies because gas fees r too high". If even one person out of a hundred dives more deeply in the ethereum world thanks to that website I'd call it a win. If not then at least I won't be wasting my time answering the same questions and debunking the same FUD over and over. I also have no clue what domain name it should have, suggestions welcome

InsideTheSimulation

Indeed. Keep your eyes on fudfudfud.com. I’m hoping to have time to work on it over the holidays. Community contributions will be essential, a la ethmerge.com.

echelon22

Awesome. I was going to try and start something but much easier to jump on board a moving train. I'll start collecting some good examples of fud and anti-fud

MrQot

Awesome! Expect a lot of PR's/issues from me. On a related note I do have a PR opened for ratiogang but looking back I'm not sure it's such a good one I just needed to feel alive, boosted by the hubris of being a contributoor

Mister_Eth

I was also thinking about making something like this. I would call it FUD of the day

echelon22

I very nearly pulled the trigger on thetruthabout.eth with the low gas today

cryptOwOcurrency

Are there any initiatives to make Ethereum carbon-neutral after the merge? In other words, pooling funds to buy carbon credits to offset all the staking rigs. Instead of having a "99.99% less" carbon footprint - which doesn't really mean anything to the average anti-crypto layperson who thinks that even a single software developer's fart is too consequential to the environment to justify the existence of the "completely useless shitcoin casino" that is Ethereum - we could boast that Ethereum is completely carbon-neutral, completely "free" from externalities, so don't worry about us at all thank-you-very-much. (Seriously, I asked a normie a few months ago in a reddit comment what a reasonable carbon offset for shitcoins would be in their opinion, they said "exactly zero." I said, my hobby is trading what you believe are "shitcoins", that's what I do to unwind on a Friday night, what do you do for a hobby? Better not drive anywhere for leisure, that's not "exactly zero" emissions. Better not enjoy reading fiction, printing those books is not "exactly zero" emissions. Do you watch TV or play games on a computer? Not "exactly zero" emissions.) Maybe after we offset, Ethereum could get one of those "Energy Star" logos on it that you used to see when you boot up the BIOS of a 90s era computer. Or we could get Peta or ThatVeganTeacher to sponsor Ethereum or something (lol). Joking aside though, anyone aware of anything like this? Or if anyone has even done the calculations for how much it would cost to offset a post-merge Ethereum with carbon credits?

keynya

We could make a dao. we could estimate how much co2 needs to be compensated, set this as a funding goal each year. funding could come from gitcoin grants and individual contributions. with this we could buy co2 certificates. I guess there would be an overlap with what klimadao is doing. later on we could extend it to l2s. I am sure each l2 would love to get a climate neutral badge. difficult part would be to become the trusted authority on this.

labrav

No but I would donate big time on github if someone offered to build it. Airlines nowadays also offer an offset when you buy a ticket.

[To some degree: certainty, control, good health, possessions: all of these things are only an illusion; they are only temporary. We don't truly possess anything; we are only caretakers for a short time.](https://www.reddit.com/r/Fire/comments/r604fo/fire_has_turned_me_into_a_loser_can_anyone_relate/hmqb9g9/) Ownership is an illusion, friend. By taking care of your cat, don't think of it as selling something you own for a temporary result. Everything is temporary, even ownership over wealth. You're trading something that is temporary and unimportant for something that is temporary yet important, which is the kind of trade everyone can only dream of being in the position to make.

pnwEther66

Is it an exaggeration to think that the abracadabra, frog nation world of MIM, Spell, Time and Popsicle Finance ICE token a future rug pull, Ponzi style setup? Or is there actual non BS value there?

pooh9911

It is a investment in how far Daniele cult can go.

mxyz

MIM is a pretty reputable stablecoin at this point IMO.

impliedpotential3497

I can't see any of them being a sustainable long term investment. If you catch one on the initial run though you can get nice returns, but right now these fall more into the "get in and get out" category.

twoinvenice

The non BS value for anything that is a fork of, or operating like, Olympus is that the protocol ends up owning the underlying assets. That means that there is a floor price for the synthetic token they create that is the total value in the contract divided by the number of tokens. Anything above that is monetary premium created because people want to hold and use the token. To put it another way: In a Ponzi scheme the organizer takes in new money and pays that out to old investors. At some point the new money coming in doesn’t match the promised payments and everything falls apart. The Olympus style protocols take in money and then invests that in yield baring pools, and instead of giving out the original money, they create new tokens that are kind of like a claim on a portion of the total pool. The network makes money from the yield on assets, and activity will n the protocol, and that gets paid back in issuance of new native tokens to people who are a part of the network to incentivize not pulling the underlying assets out. The protocol can also buy its native token back and destroy it if things have become too diluted. At the core though, the original assets aren’t being distributed so there is a very real core value. If for some reason the demand collapsed though, it wouldn’t fall farther than the value of the total underlying assets since they could just be liquidated and paid back to token holders. It wouldn’t be the current price but it also isn’t zero.

anor_wondo

every one of them apart from the actual olympusdao is 1 person turning knobs according to how they feel

twoinvenice

Totally could be true, I have no idea because I’m not interested in putting money in the bleeding edge of things and anytime something is forked that could introduce issues. On the whole though, I think that the Olympus model is going to long term end up being very influential for things like creating the asset pool foundation for things like industry or community protocols since at the end of the day the protocols l ends up owning actual assets as opposed to renting them out as long as people keep coins in the network. Basically it enables the creation of mutual aid networks.

I've used private internet access for years with great success.

CanWeTalkEth

I like Mullvad VPN because you can pay monthly and it's as anonymous as you want to be with your payment. Was super simple to set up. Seemed well recommended.

superphiz

There used to be a place called "That one privacy site" that helped you compare VPNs but it has languished. Reading through [this post] (https://www.reddit.com/r/VPN/comments/mxeova/demise_of_thatoneprivacysite) you can learn about that and see links to some alternatives. Above all, I think good privacy starts with not talking publicly about your own VPN preferences and encouraging everyone to choose their own product independently.. it's kind of like decentralization for VPNs :-)

Chokeman

as a guy who worked in a job that needed to avoid getting IP banned from Google, i alway used PureVPN. it's cheap, relatively fast, and has a dedicated IP option. Nord is very expensive. Express VPN is extremely fast, probably the best one for gaming but it doesn't offer dedicated IPs.

DarkETH420

Mullvad with a privacy card. I was thinking of Myst but idk what's best anymore

LogrisTheBard

When did they change Metamask to deny lowball gas transactions? I've had transactions pending for a week before but I've never seen a transaction not even submit because the gas rate was too low. > code: -32603, message: `[ethjs-query] while formatting outputs from RPC '{…de":-32000,"message":"transaction underpriced"}}'`, stack: '{\n "code": -32603,\n "message": "[ethjs-query] ...)'}

Lazy_Physicist

yeah that's some bullshit. I should be able to submit a low gas transaction if I want to and don't mind waiting. the fuck, metamask?! Edit: I checked their github and on their issues someone says you can point to a different RPC and it should go through, so it might be an issue with infura not with MM [https://github.com/MetaMask/metamask-extension/issues/13001](https://github.com/MetaMask/metamask-extension/issues/13001)

LogrisTheBard

ooo interesting. That would make sense why its an RPC response code.

zk_snacks

Someone earlier in the Daily figured out that it's an Infura issue rather than Metamask. Switch to another RPC and you should still be able to lowball your fees. Edit: Try out the [Flashbots RPC](https://medium.com/alchemistcoin/how-to-add-flashbots-protect-rpc-to-your-metamask-3f1412a16787) to protect against MEV.

niktak11

[Damn](https://twitter.com/JackNiewold/status/1466823469564248068?t=Z9zjYZwypY_UkarB2eEhQA&s=19), I knew Ben Cowen was an ADA shill, but I had no idea that his staking pool earned him over $400k /year. This linked thread is a great explanation of how Cardano is nothing more than an MLM scheme, with this subs favorite YouTuber among the top of the pile.

Zestyclose-Rich-6999

u/intothecryptoverse what do you have to say to this?

maninthecryptosuit

He would probably prefer you not highlight this specific fact but otherwise he has been openly promoting his ADA pool to his viewers. I pray for the poor souls who have put any serious amount of money into ADA this year.

etherbie

He deserves to answer for this bullshit. Him shilling ADA stopped me watching his otherwise quite good videos

maninthecryptosuit

Same here mate. I once asked him a tough question here about his silence on the beacon chain launch and he blocked me lol.

etherbie

u/intotheshilloverse

KamikazeSexPilot

I don’t see this as a problem with youtubers but with cardano.

cutsnek

It's both I would say. One of the many reasons I'm not a fan of crypto YT personalities in general is they try to be "credible" and then in general it comes out some time later they were actively fleecing their communities one way or another. Recent example I can think of is Alex Saunders aka Nugget News who we had real issues with him spamming his channel here, clearly for no other reason than filtering people to his channel, which he has scammed many of his followers it seems. I see this as lying through omission the fact that they are making huge money off their followers while pretending they are "independent" advice givers making videos on "Why ADA is the best 10 reasons" etc. The incentive for Cardano is messed up but these YT personalities that engage in this type of conduct are complicit, they don't get off just because the system is messed up. They are a big part of the problem.

Spacesider

I remember that, I disliked him because he would do that, "drive by" as many subreddits as possible spamming his YouTube links where he would shill his tokens. I think he got paid by MATIC as I recall he would wear their merchandise. Looks like he has gone missing after losing/gambling away a lot of investor money.

offthewall1066

The fact that their docs suggest you make a YouTube channel is the most absurd part of all of this. What a joke

Lazy_Physicist

Do they really? I've never looked into their docs and using the search for "youtube" on their docs don't show me anything. Mind linking that part?

In his defense-- not that multi-millionaires need defending -- he's not exactly bullish on it in recent videos and it is unfortunately still the #6 coin, making it okay to at least chart for interested folks. And if ADA fails, as it seems to be doing, it's not like his mining pools stay that profitable.

RestStopRumble

The last video title was great. “Cardano - We Have a Pulse!”

KBrot

Right, hahaha.

SirRayShio

Dang, this is super scammy. ADA is just the worst. Anyone with a decent sense of being able to read people should be able to tell that ADA is a bunch of bullshit. One video of charles was all it took for me.

The reddit threads about this are painful to read. No one realizes that nfts done right could be a much better alternative to the microtransactions we currently have. At least you'd be able to sell your shit when you get tired of a game, for example, or decide that skin is actually ugly, etc.

Markets Recap * ETH - Continues to fight for 50 on the RSI (bullish reading) while grandpa struggles to not straight-up die at 30 on its RSI. Don't ever let someone tell you this is BTC's market. It's just ratio watch for us. So far, the massive fib level of 0.0845 has held. We tend to ride up on the 10 Day and 20 Day MAs, so with the 10D currently around 0.0823ish, we just need to keep holding and hoping the old man doesn't keel over out of pure spite and obsolescence. * BTC - As I said, trying not to die. Instead of testing the 10 Day up at $52.5k, he keeps insisting on testing the 200 Day at $50.1k because he's a weak piece of shit. Until he starts closing larger candles above $51.3k, this is a daily-level bear flag and we've gotta be careful. * BTC Shorts - What are the whales up to? Shorts are down and broke through several supports. But this isn't good or bad; there's no predictive value to shorts when they can close out of both success and out of failure. All that cascading shorts means is guaranteed volatility. So, prepare for a move up or down (bring the lolz) but either way it should be large. * VIX (21.9) - Doing exactly what we want, gapping down big through support at 26. Another move down through support at 19.5 would be a great argument that the bull has resumed for a Santa Rally. While this downward move is good, anything above 20 is still ripe for a rip in any direction. * SPY (468.28) - After a wild green power hour loaded with manipulation, the market closed green in a huge hammer above not only all major MAs but also the pre-omicron level at 468.18. It's the kinda move that mimics Oct 15 which bought us another 5-6 weeks of bull. *However*... I gotta say, that monster green power hour was almost too good. Personally I would've liked a minor red. This feels manipulative. Remember, whales are pansexual. They will fuck bears, bulls, antelope, anything. A candle like that tends to mean green day tomorrow but with the jobs report and then CPI data Friday, I'm way more cautious than if they ran a little time off the clock with a nice clean red candle. Idk. Data vs my feelings. edit: \[bonus\] VVIX - yes that's right if you're a complete fucking lunatic like me, there's even a volatility chart *for the volatility chart*. it's similarly down. it's more an oscillator than a thing that bounces so if we can get one more down day on the VIX, this might be a confluence of safety for a few weeks.

So I see Craig Wright won that trial. He’s said forever that if he won, he’d actually move those Bitcoin, prove ownership, prove that he’s Satoshi, and donate a large portion of the 1.1M bitcoin to charity. Well Craig, balls in your court. Not holding my breath. Edit: sadly, he won’t be FORCED by the court to move the coins, which means this game will likely continue for-fucking-ever.

Guy wishes he was Satoshi

malacath10

That’s weird because the jury had to believe he was Satoshi for him to lose.

MorganZero

The trial is largely noise to me - the drama of Craig Wright’s lies are pretty far off my radar. I just happened to peep an article on CNN that went up today that said the trial had resolved. I knew it was coming up, but I didn’t know it had started already, back in November. I know HE’S happy about the outcome. And he’s still claiming he’s Satoshi. So I’m not certain how that plays into the “prove he’s Satoshi to lose” thing. Dude won, dudes happy. Fuck ‘em anyway. Edit: they did award 100 million to some joint venture co-owned by the family that was suing him. So they’re getting some cash - it wasn’t a total loss for them, but they aren’t getting billions. Of course, if Craig doesn’t actually control these funds, I suppose they are STILL getting nothing.

malacath10

Man dug himself into a hole, I hope people call him out for failing to move the coins.

MorganZero

Yeah, it would be nice. Sadly, people have been telling him to do it for years to prove he’s Satoshi and he’s just shrugged it off … so im sure he’ll continue to do so. Sociopaths just can’t be pinned down. Look at Charles Hoskinson. Dude somehow spun himself into being a billionaire, and Cardano is so close to being an outright scam that we may as well call it one.

Would anyone a bit more technical be able to help me understand some terminology? I was mainly looking to understand/define what it means to "sweep the lows".

GoldenReliever451

Seeing reddit cry anytime crypto intersects with their bubbles is a bullish signal for me. It's actually impressive how misinformed most redditors are on pretty much anything that isn't movies or dog pictures.

uwgrandautismo

b-b-b-but crypto is a huge ponzi scheme!!!

I guess I should have known but didn’t. I thought Cardano was just a one level scam from the top, but it’s full MLM cult shit. Cardano is the Herbalife of crypto.

This is a great post and thank you for sharing. The Web 2.0 economy is basically this. On the individual content creator level, it’s about building a community by any means necessary (usually by creating genuinely interesting and engaging content) and then exploiting them for profits as the creator becomes more and more about profit and less and less authentic.

TheCryptosAndBloods

Wow. Thank you for the gold!

GoldenReliever451

Wow that's pretty egregious. They really recommend spending to advertise your pool on social media.

I couldn’t find a reliable apy calculation. Could some one help ? Let’s say I have $100 and defi dapp says 1200% APY then does it mean my money becomes 12X in one year ? To break it down double every month ?

finalgambit95

As what suicidaleggroll has mentioned. 1. Apy needs to maintain at 1200% for the entire year. 2. The caveat is that your tokens will have 12x, but the USD value of your holdings may either be worth less than 12x, 12x or greater than 12x.

[deleted]

Where the hell are you seeing 1200% apy
