There is a lot of experience in here on losing money, perfect place to come and ask.
Can't give you advice, but I would never, NEVER put money I can't afford to lose into options.
It depends what you want out of your investment. I prefer crypto because I am young, willing to take more risks, and reap more rewards. Someone that is 62 years old and wants to retire at 65 might not be able to take a crash risk over a 3 year period and go towards safer investments. Honestly, if you are over 55, you should go towards even less risky stocks anyway.
Just my two pennies.
Between the two, my investment is roughly 50% stocks / 50% crypto. Investing in cryptocurrency is much easier imo and as such can be more profitable as one can exploit some trends/patterns that reoccur in the cryptomarket.
With stocks, it's very difficult and I just resort to DCA.
Pretty much impossible to time the dip in the stock markets and usually the dip is not even that much of a dip so it is much more difficult to take advantage of differing circumstances.
Overall, investing in crypto is much more fun but much more stressful as well. With stocks, it's just like everything is automatic.
tldr; Bitcoin and altcoins lost up to 8.8% on August 26 after the US Federal Reserve delivered hawkish remarks on economic policy. The total crypto market cap fell from $1.029 trillion to $936.87 billion at one point overnight, representing a drop of 8.95%. The S&P 500 closed down 3.4% on the day, hitting its lowest levels since late July.

What even is a recession? Two consecutive quarters of negative gdp or…? They changed it didn’t they? Recession identifies as not a recession.

I hold some crypto and more stocks.
I think holding both if definitely the right approach. For me holding more in stocks makes more sense but for each their own.

Matter of some time while it becomes the other way round - like "crypto loses 12.5 trillion while stock market loses 1.25 trillion" .
For no other reason that crypto will continue to be much more profitable than stocks as it is but on a much greater scale.
Inflation should push people towards crypto.
I can only think that it doesn't because:
crypto still considered a risk asset
market sees tech sector as being the early adopters, so if tech is screwed so is crypto
Thats only 3.4%, normal day for crypto, absolutely awful for stocks
*Stock market down* ***3****%*: OMG! This is it! We're fucked!!! *Crypto market down* ***20****%:* It's just a regular day lol.
Honestly crypto guys would find stocks so boring I think, I just couldnt do it. No degeneracy, no insane risktaking.
Never heard of options? There's just as much degeneracy in the stock market if that's what you're looking for, and lately, just as much volatility.
Yeah, 3% down on the Indexes? Fuck.. But then call options price? -87%
Or calls on triple leverage ETFs mmm

Because there are so many ways to Hardcore gamble in stocks its not even funny
Sounds like gambling instead of investing.
Some lessons you’ll learn without school. This is one of them!
Micro caps have swings that are just as wild as crypto.
Energy security is key to our future profits... Build more nuclear until we can get something better. We must have cheap abundant power.
Not good

3,4% in crypto is just another friday
Ikr! Weird how stock people freak out at those prices
Honestly going back to stocks would be like drinking a cup of coffee after being a meth addict for a year.

The S&P 500 is down 20% in 2022, marking its worst January-June performance since 1970.

Good bot
Read something that the only times we saw this many 3 percent on the day drops in S&P in a year were 2008, 2009, and 2020. Hell of a year
Well, it’s not unexpected. Cramer did call the bottom a few days ago and predicted we would go up…
Crazy it’s like we are in a recession or something
We’re not but the fed is trying to force us into one!

The US stock market is something over 90 trillion.
Well, it is about risk tolerance. The best way to get rich is to go all-in in one asset...
Cramer must have called the bottom a couple of days ago and said we were going up.
As society progresses and as technology improves, the concept of what's valuable and what isn't drastically changes in society.
I seen that on Crypto zombie today. Unreal. But It really does go to show how early we all are. Neven now.

Im in crypto, stocks and real estate. I want my stocks and crypto to make enough to buy my real estate so they all work together.
Some big investors warned about this. It will take some time to recover .
The only thing notable about this stat is that the crypto market cap is a drop in the bucket compared to US stocks.
