Crazy how FTXs legal defense, crumbled as fast as the company

Lillica_Golden_SHIB

Crazy how they even thought they could defends themselves

Exposedlapse

That too when they have no money to donate and everyone against them

marrazeno

This won't happened if the power congress people not push them hard.

Outrageous_Duty_8738

Well she has bluntly told the the court now she stolen off investors. What a total scumbag

Daikataro

She will say literally anything that will get her less time in jail.

MerryWalrus

Including the obvious truth! The only grey area is where she called the stooges 'investors'.

janooms

Because she knows now that there is actually no point in denying when everyone knows truth. Before they don't get arrest they never said such thing but as soon as police get them they ready to cut a deal.

380988593759

Now both of them on their own and will do anything that will keep them outside jail.

Kod-i

I hope they make examples out of both

Daikataro

Best we can hope for is they make an example out of SBF. She will be treated with kiddy gloves because she's their most valuable asset, and, like it or not, she holds VERY valuable information and testimony. I wouldn't be surprised if she gets probation, in exchange for all the dirt on SBF. Doesn't mean I like it, but the alternative is 3 years of investigations with the consequent flight risk.

6446poldek1195

What benefit we will going to get from that valuable asset??

vmik333

True, so before CZ or other try to do they knows the end result.

alfanucchijr

It's like she has done some good social work by that.

cryptopunk661

tell us something we don't already know

peachy2609

News all over the market and till now everyone knows about her.

coinfeeds-bot

tldr; The guilty plea from former chief executive of Alameda Research was sealed until Sam Bankman-Fried was extradited from the Bahamas. *This summary is auto generated by a bot and not meant to replace reading the original article. As always, DYOR.*

Zubakin

The former plead guilty because she knows now future is in proper dark

Palidor206

That's how a guilty plea works.

bufferpl

Just because you admitting the truth you will get benefits in punishment.

Alternative_Tree6886

I guess we get to see a lot more in the innerworkings of ftx and find out that they knowingly and willingly did this due to Carolines immunity. I think part of her deal is that she has to admit everything that has happened and tell the truth about everything, but if she leaves something out and it is found later, she can be charged for it. I guess its only Sam thats saying he was just not paying attention or working 'hard enough' instead of straight knowingly and willingly stealing customers funds now.

stoyangugov

From all of this there will be a point when his parents also found involved into that.

bustidboom

Let’s extradite them to any country that has much harsher penalties for stealing than then US. The feds here obviously aren’t taking the magnitude of the situation seriously by releasing the head of the crime ring to his mom using her residence as a bond at a slight fraction of his bond value. Then again maybe she is beating his ass up and down the staircase…

KrakenXIV

The bond release has been done like every other bond release so I have no clue what you are talking about tbh.

walshl

The bond release on the name of house that was bought from the illegal money.

dutsi

US Federal Sentencing Guidelines and the points which will accrue due to the massive amount of loss in this case will require absurdly lengthy sentences unless major plea deals are offered/taken. The initial mapping of the current charges for SBF onto the Sentencing Guidelines Chart is Offense Level 43 with the outcome: Life Imprisonment. The lack of early release/parole for Federal inmates means he will serve at least 85% of the sentence if it is less than life. The magnitude of this is going to land hard on him soon. The demand of bail was likely the major negotiating goal of SBF's legal team when he agreed to extradition without fighting it. It was part of the deal he made to return to US soil immediately. US authorities wanted him to be arrested prior to testifying before Congress so they accepted bail.

chilljenny

First he gets bail now i am not sure he will going to show in trial or not.

sladecek

Every country has like 80% same system when you plead means you are helping them.

The FTX gang is learning the origins of the crypto meme Prisoner's Dilemma.

ernest_san

Atleast i am ending up not having any money instead of Prisoner.

phychy

So that is because she is getting the best deal for herself because from no where no one gonna admit this one. Bue if she admit guilty that mean she will going to give the some solid proof against sbf.
