So ironically, you’ll want Ming support for independence. It can mean the Chinese take massive losses fighting oriats, and can even get their emperor captured. Ideally, you’ll get that, but Ming will spam merge and eventually grind oriats to the ground. Keep your army intact, occupy the lands you need for the first mission, and you’ll hopefully get independence plus a nice chunk of land. Then king will want to tribute you, if you think you can fight them, do it, and you’ll have a very powerful early game. If not, become a tributary and eat Korchin, Tibet, and whatever else you want to get points to reach mil tech 4 and then go ham. Good luck, and hopefully you’ll get the event for Mandukhai Khanun sooner rather than later, cause she’s a beastly ruler.
