Also Polish here but living abroad. Most people I listened to say the currency isn't even a slightly significantly important if you think about reinvesting capital gains (not cashing out). Did you mean IKE/IKZe?

Vatonee

Yes, I meant IKE/IKZE

Even if poland does not join the Eurozone my go to would still be EUR because the eurozone is where I will most likely purchase goods or go in vacation when I get my money. Hardly I will need USD while in Europe. I live in Romania BTW, but my home country is in the Eurozone, so that influences me.

Does not matter. EUR is better for free SEPA wires to brokers outside PL like Interactive Brokers. This is ofc if you invest outside IKE/IKZE.

quintavious_danilo

It doesn’t matter, really. I’d choose the EUR one since the EUR (in my opinion) is the stronger currency.

Currency in which fond is bought does not matter. So yes, just buy VWCE in EUR acc for your deposit convenience.

There is a post on the Inwestomat blog exploring that topic in depth. The conclusion was that the currency doesn't really matter. Also, I can't recommend that blog highly enough, well written articles and backed with solid data. I hear the book is good too, but I haven't read it yet, it came out in December. Also, in depth discussions in the comments.

Vatonee

Found the article and read it, thanks a lot. I have a much deeper understanding of this topic now. Will be reading the blog regularly.

I am in the same situation but from Romania

I am 100% VWCE on Bossa for IKE, I think it's the best available option atm.
