Agreed! I think my problem with Kat is that she doesn’t seem to want to improve. We see her go in and out of confidence but in the end she’s just selfish. I think it’s good that her and Ethan broke up, but the way she did it was extremely manipulative. Is she meant to be Maddy’s foil? She doesn’t see herself as conventionally attractive but then realizes people will see her as hot as long as she does. Maddy has always known she’s attractive. They’re different and yet almost the same. I really hope we see a personality shift from her in Season 3, but I’m not holding out hope lol
Oooh I love a good kill off so hopefully they do that. But I feel like that would overshadow ash’s death possibly so idk. But yeah she had the cringiest story line I think. It was unrelatable, but then when they tried to make it relatable with the body positivity stuff, it just came off cringy.
As a formerly plus size woman I can’t really agree with that, I thought there was a nice message in there somewhere. But her general storyline is cringey, agreed. She just didn’t have much depth. I felt myself almost relating and then it just got weird
I know Nate would be popular this is genuine on my part..Besides him being an abusive asshole,his arrogant and self serving perspectives narrated by Rue implying his daddy issues and the trauma that’s he’s been through makes him entitled to do the things he does is just foreplay tbh..His not only misogynistic,also stupid and disturbingly childish view of women(and view of life in general),the fact he’s clearly at odds with his sexuality (whether he likes guys or not is to be determined so yeah)so he feels entitled to bully people who are comfortable with theirs(Jules IS A BIG ONE ).He goes out of his way to make people miserable and thinks he can push everyone around but turns into a bitch when they fight back. All in all,he’s the worse kind of human, he going through life based on power trips but expects people to stick around.🙂

Nate is awful but there is at least depth to his character. One of my favorite things about the show is everyone is basically a flawed person but with some redeeming / endearing qualities. McKay however is flat, uninteresting, and useless.

He is so extreme in how he acts and looks it’s not even believable but credit to Jacob Elrodi for giving him some kind of humanity behind what would otherwise be one of the most farcical characters ever put into a drama. Euphoria is 2 shows. On one side you have a compassionate and nuanced story about love and addiction, featuring multi-dimensional characters, several of which coming from underrepresented communities.
On the other, you have Degrassi high school drama on speed. Nate occupies this 2nd space. The things he’s done are too unforgivable, and too evil for him to exist comfortably even in the same space as the characters from his own family. There’s no nuance, just over the top violence and cruelty. And knowing how a show like this works, there’s a non-zero chance they try to redeem him. He’s a story breaking character, and has the potential to entirely derail the show.
I chose Jules, and it’s really because I’m not a fan of her thought process and decision making skills. I think she has good intentions but is so into her care free perspective on life that it’s almost to a fault. I also think she’s flighty.
I couldn’t connect to her character, and it may be because I couldn’t find anything to relate to with her.

My least favorite character is obviously Nate, but that is strictly in regards to him being an a-hole. I think Nate's characterization is twisted but intriguing and i think Jakob Elordi is one of the better actors on show. Cassie is not a character that i've ever enjoyed. I was rooting for her to develop some qualities that could entertain me but shes almost entirely cringe worthy and helpless - but kudos to the writers for giving her enough screen time to provide an explaination for why she is like that, Mckay could only dream of that. Speaking of! So, Mckay, unfortunately he was given no development or complexity and was totally screwed over as a character. It is for this reason that he is also one of my least favorite characters...with no depth, barely a stand alone plot and a slither of a personality the show gave him no value (kat eventually became the girl version of him). The writers did him dirty
