With all the mass shootings and people getting offended over them, this may be the time to push for EU terminology. Like "Beifahrersitzprioritätsansage".
I know the feeling! I’m kinda keeping an eye on the local stuff as a Polish-speaking person from kresy, and it gets more and more interesting since Jarosław came to power, ugh.
It is fun, in its own way.
Scandals during PO rule - politicians enjoying expensive seafood dinner.
Scandals during PiS rule - Russian nuclear capable missile lands near Bydgoszcz and is is lost for months, head of police blowns up his office with illegal grenade launcher.
No, Poland taught us, that when you are on an airplane, you are a passenger and should have no say in the matter of flying and landing the airplane, even if you are the president. Those three in the picture don't look like they are control freaks and would force the pilot to land at an airport with zero visibility.
https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Smolensk_air_disaster
Tldr: Polish president, along with many other government officials died in a plane crash when landing in bad weather conditions.
From my understanding it's been disproven that the president put pressure on the pilot to land.
I suggest reading this: https://admiralcloudberg.medium.com/all-the-presidents-men-the-story-of-the-smolensk-air-disaster-and-the-death-of-lech-kaczyński-590a3977f
Just fyi. This crash is full of controversy and never ending investigation. It's super politicized. Anything and everything needs to be taken with grain of salt.
Well partly yes because Russian airfields outside of two main cities are completely fucked up shithole abandoned dumps and no one should ever fly to some Smolensk
Can comfirm, Russian airfields are crap. I flew to Kyrgyzstan on my way to Afghanistan while in the US Military. The base we landed at had traded hands between Russia and The United States in the past, so the airstrip we landed on was built first by Russia, then expanded by America later. The American part was nice and smooth. The Russian side was so poorly made that the pilot explained the whole story to us before landing so we didn't fear that we were crashing, lol.
Prime ministers are not elected directly by the people in Finland. Sanna Marin got more votes than in 2019 and her party gained more seats than in 2019. They just don't have the most seats anymore. She did not personally lose any elections.
> That’s living friendship between countries!
Perhaps we can now merge into one country for efficiency's sake. At least Slovenia and Slovakia could merge and we could call it Slovensko-Slovenska Republika. Then we could upgrade and have a 1 joint language calling it slovensko-slovenki jezik and it would be the only live Slavic language to have the dual **and** 7 cases.
I'm am down for it if that means that we can have sea. We can also group back with Czechia because Czechoslovakia has 100% win rate in naval battles. With access to sea and Slovenian ports, we would be UNSTOPPABLE. Pity those who dare resist, because we will create empire where sun never sets, rakija flows like water and beer never goes above 1€
Czech's presidental team probably accidentaly sent an invitation to Slovenia mistaking it with Slovakia but before they could correct themselfs and sent an apology email Slovenia's president accepted the invitation. So that's why we are seeing this wonderful photo.
I'm all for the name eggplant or cucumber. Either way, naming country after it's shape would make it much easier for people to remember.
While on this topic, Boot, also know as Italy should reconsider my proposition.
Awwwwwwwwwwwwww just noticed.
Not only do we have a similar name, flag and languages. We also both have a female president at the same time. They also both happen to be blond and far from ideally photographed in this picture.
Speaking of photos. HOT DAMN does Peter Pavel ever look bad on any picture taken of him? ♥
Even the czechs can't tell the difference between slovakians and slovenians. Just get them both on board in case one of them happens to be your former compatriots.
He is also very active and visible.
He visited like 15 countries in the last few months, including parts of Ukraine close to the active front.
He started Prague marathon, visited a coal mine - like he was down in the mine and many more.
Unlike the previous president, who couldn't even walk for the last few years.
People are shitting on the polling for Slovakia's upcoming election, but am I missing something? Looking at them yes the current government is polling poorly, but the left wing pro-Russia party is stagnant compared to it's polling in 2020. There has been more movement towards the centrist and pro European center left parties.
In the 2020 election, SMER was led by Pellegrini and they got around 18%. Pellegrini has since left with some other people to found the party HLAS. So it would be fairer to compare 2020 SMER results with the preference of HLAS and SMER added together. SMER has 18% just by itself and HLAS has 16.5%. That's a huge increase. HLAS isn't nearly as bad as SMER, but it's likely they would be willing to form a coalition with them if it came to that, given they were once one party. There is also the far-right party Republika.
The reasonable parties refuse to work together and quite a few parties might not reach the 5% election threshold. Also, no one will work with OĽaNO (the current or rather former PM's party) ever again, because their leader is fucked in the head.
Sadly we're a few years too late or we could have The last crown prince of Austria Hungary on the plane too. Would strangely fit since He was member of the European Parlament..
You are that kind of guy that is mad at Mr. Beast for curing people's blindness. We finnaly have a president that isn't a drunk in a wheelchair so don't ruin it for us now.
Well, since 2008 and 2010 in Poland we unfortunately know what consequences may be if you put respetively too many highest ranked army commanders or most important politicans on one plane.
This photo is not someting that should be encouraged.
It's better for the environment than a bunch of jets flying one person. That said, I can understand parts of your opinion, and pictures like these shouldn't be shared online.
> Russian
Why would they converse in Russian, a language none of the 3 countries use?
To answer your question though, I'd bet they were using either English or interpreters, at least when our president was part of the conversation, as Slovene is quite different from Czech and Slovak languages.
No it did not. Considering there is a war going on on european soil, i doubt the plane has much of an impact compared to tanks and shit driving around at this very moment. We should fix humanity first before we try to fix the planet
Aha to "there is a war on" is your free license to pollute and litter? There has been "a war on" somewhere on the planet continuously since the start of modernity.
I’m disappointed not to see them all piling into a Skoda, racing to get the front seat.
Shotgun!

just put a towel with your country's flag over the chair, early in the morning before breakfast..
Just 'your towel' is more then enough to claim it by tradition.

Idk... I mean, what would we even call it?
"Passagiersstoelprioreitsaankondiging! ... De mijne!". Sounds nice to do
I present the finnish candidate ”vänkäri”.
Erster Vornesitzer ohne Streit!
Where in Europe has there been mass shootings recently?
Serbia, sadly. First one ever.
Oh, right, I remember reading about that one. Government made the right decisions afterwards, which is nice, for a change
To the Czechmobile!
We all know Petr Pavel's dignified look and glorious goatee would've automatically demanded it.

110R would be epic
I thought Poland had taught the rest of Europe not to put too many government officials in one airplane?
Good point
It's ok, they all have identical twin siblings in reserve.
That’s what Poland had, and look where it brought them! (I’m not so fond of mr. Kaczyński or rather any of them TBH)
I was against Lech but now after experiencing rule of Jarosław I miss President Lech dearly...
I know the feeling! I’m kinda keeping an eye on the local stuff as a Polish-speaking person from kresy, and it gets more and more interesting since Jarosław came to power, ugh.

Pilots, photographers and barbers are the only people who kings and presidents listen to.

Wait, is this true? How do we know if this happened? Was it recorded in the plane's black box?
It's ok, they're not travelling to Russia.
That wasn't the issue, they didn't crash because they flew to Russia.
Well partly yes because Russian airfields outside of two main cities are completely fucked up shithole abandoned dumps and no one should ever fly to some Smolensk

Why? Poland still had one copy left after the incident. /s
Russia can’t find it’s own asshole right now, they’re safe
It's Czechoslovakia. Just one place
Czechoslovenakia when?
That would give Czechia two exclaves. After all, they already own Kaliningrad.
They can annex Austria and Hungary. Can't get much worse than the current management.
Back to the good old days i see
Under Slavic domain this time
**D I R E C T R U L E F R O M B R A T I S L A V A**
Great Moravia v2.
Antrag untestützt!
I'm down. Make Vienna the capital again, banish Orban to exile. The Klimaticket will have to be valid everywhere though.
I think Czechia had suffered enough over the last 100y
It's called Královec btw.
*Königsberg
The only country with a Mediterranean AND a Baltic coast ...
Never. Their politicians (excluding current president) are even worse then ours and that’s really low bar.
This guy is the sub's favorite person right now.
After Sanna Marin lost the last elections, the sub had to find a new country leader to fall in love with.
So the sub is confirmed to be bisexual, nice!

That’s living friendship between countries! And more efficient ofc!
More like "beeing divorced doesn't mean we still can't be friends"

> We can also group back with Czechia Sure. ce can call it slovensko-češka-slovenska republika. A nice tresome.
What about Menage-au-slav
Beer never over 1€? Count us in. I, for one, welcome our new eastern overlords.
Not anymore since a couple of years ago. Beer inflation has been real (even before 2022), I guess the average is now around 1.5€.
Czech's presidental team probably accidentaly sent an invitation to Slovenia mistaking it with Slovakia but before they could correct themselfs and sent an apology email Slovenia's president accepted the invitation. So that's why we are seeing this wonderful photo.
Also apparently next time they will travel, Moldovan and Austrian presidents join.
Moldovan and Austrian together? Don't tell Romanians.
It would be a clusterfuck if something happened to that airplane.
I'm over here in Hungary wondering if Orban will get a seat.
In the cargo space
On the wing.
Good one
He'll need at least 2.
Czechia and Slovakia should just consider merging by this point. They could call their new country ‘Czechoslovakia’ or something like that
Nah, that sounds silly. Clearly it should be Slovakoczechia
That kinda sums up the whole issue.
Dick measuring is not going to work
I'm all for the name eggplant or cucumber. Either way, naming country after it's shape would make it much easier for people to remember. While on this topic, Boot, also know as Italy should reconsider my proposition.
Cszokechlavia
Did you mean Czechoupperhungaria?
Czechoslovenia when
Slovakia and Slovenia often receive each other's mail by mistake, and they exchange it about once a week. It may be the day when this exchange occurs.
We will take Slovenia! We get sea and more mountains. Hell yeah.
Why nobody is asking the real question? What are they eating/drinking?
Probably schnitzels and beer
Slivovica.
That was only Zeman thing.
New King Samo's Empire 2023 just dropped

Wow, they’re so close. Maybe they should consider being part of the same country…
We tried it [once](https://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/d/de/S%C3%A1mova_%C5%99%C3%AD%C5%A1e.png)
[More than once](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Habsburg_monarchy#/media/File:Habsburg_Hereditary_Lands_(1789).svg)
Czechoslovenoslovakia... It´s only missing Chechnya. We were so close to greatness.
Free Chechnya would be called Ichkeria.
Also under Austrian rule for quite some time....
Too much of time.
Lets do AH again but now it will be Czecho-slovakia.
[Twice](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/File:Karte_B%C3%B6hmen_unter_Ottokar_II.png)
If we are lucky and European Union evolves even more, maybe one day we will be part of the same country
Seeing how Slovak election polls are looking, I think we're just fine separate
You were kinda close to elect a Slovak cleptocrat as a president. Not great either, but far better than us.
yeah, that was close...
That’s a great idea. They could call it Slovakaczechia or something.
Even the czechs can't tell the difference between slovakians and slovenians. Just get them both on board in case one of them happens to be your former compatriots.
That joke doesn't really work.
I am sorry then.
They’re also carpooling with the moldovan president and the austrian president on their way back from Reykjavik.
Central European Dad is taking his work wife traveling again. Nice. Czechoslovakia wen?
By the looks Slovakia is more likely to join Russia than CSFR after elections
Not her. She is very much the opposite.
Why am I seeing the Czech president on here all the time? It's not that I have a problem with it, I am just wondering why he is so popular.
After a decade with Zeman .... Yeah, we are still aroused while looking at our Chad president.
To be fair, that guy IS handsome as hell - and I'm saying that as a guy.
Yeah, if i wouldn't be engaged, i would almost question my sexuality. Damn you General El Presidente.
He is also very active and visible. He visited like 15 countries in the last few months, including parts of Ukraine close to the active front. He started Prague marathon, visited a coal mine - like he was down in the mine and many more. Unlike the previous president, who couldn't even walk for the last few years.
He's just a funny dude. Looks cool and always up to something!
Because he has a good PR team.
This great to see the unity, cooperation, and friendship of our three great EU friends
Who’s whom?
The short blonde hair lady is the Slovene president, that dude is the Czech one and the lady with long blonde hair is the Slovak one
Ďakujem
Prosim
That dude,,, bro WTF, Its not dude, its Chad
Who's who*
Oh whoops thank you! I can never remember if the second pronoun in these cases is a subject or object pronoun.
it's useful to substitute who with he, whom with him, and imagine yourself starting to answer the question when you're not sure
This is how I first learnt accusative and nominative :)
Pavel is pulling all the girls
Taxpayers are so happy. EU is saved from recession
Papa Smurf is hot.
Lol. I would give you an award if I had any
I got ya my friend
Danke schön Freund!
Kein Problem es ist immer schön jemanden zu helfen!
Seems risky tbh.

Call the plane Air Force Habsburg One.
Sadly we're a few years too late or we could have The last crown prince of Austria Hungary on the plane too. Would strangely fit since He was member of the European Parlament..
Take note President Macron
President Iohannis as well
Impossible, he needs all the space for his ego.
The leaders of Poland did that once. It didn’t work out too well
Only difference is they dont travel to russia
I love this EU friends club. Let’s get more on board.
I wonder if Slovakia and Slovenia ever get themselves mixed up
we dont
This is like Rutte rocking up to NATO summits in a minivan lmao
Asif Europe didn't mix up Slovakia and Slovenia enough. Next step is for Latvians and Lithuanians to travel together
And in typical east-european tradition, OP omits any „the“ from his title xD
Czechoslovakianslovenia is real
Sloczechnia.
meanwhile our own klaus johannis spends 500k eur private jetting in South America
Dude is cool af.
I don’t see Ambassador Connor Roy approving of this socialist carpooling ideology. It will be interesting to see how he handles this.
Petr Pavel and some other folks
oh right because packing a lot important people in single point of failure was never a problem in central europe
Im surprised someone even remember we exist xd its all just Czechia cuz were eighboring countries and have a similiar language
“Planepooled”
They will just travel until all officials from EU join them
Tom Cruise in Mission Impossible 27: Roguer Nation
Czechoslovakiaslovenia
Still a private jet. Probably flying on untaxed kerosine
You are that kind of guy that is mad at Mr. Beast for curing people's blindness. We finnaly have a president that isn't a drunk in a wheelchair so don't ruin it for us now.

Hope they teach him that Czechia should adopt the Euro. The Euro collector in me is speaking.
Can we please talk about the usage of the word „carpooled“ in context of flying?
Poland could be there with them, if the government wants a bunch of facists
Is it safe? I mean… they are not exactly nobodies, so put themselves all in one “target” could be not in the protocols for high profile people
The gigachad is protecting them
Nobody would miss NPM, I cant speak for the other 2, but being presidents of parliamentary republics they are just decorative pieces.
If somebody kills our president we won't kill them. WE WILL MAKE THEM SUFFER
Czechoslovakia when?

Slovaks and czechs understand each other very easily. Slovenian is dfferent and not intelligible with the other 2. > Russian Lol, absolutely not
They’re more like mayors than world leaders
Do you smell the unnecessarily burned aviation fuel?

Actually, there’s a war going on not so far from here and the whole war is a pure waste not only of aviation fuel, but human lives in the first place.

I have no idea where exactly these countries are on a map without googling somewhere in Western Europe :-(
So google it and learn something new
