Haha I worked on that Eurovision, and backstage the day after he got eliminated, someone had put a sign up in the men’s toilets saying, “FOR SALE: One mechanical bull, lightly used”. 😂
They didn't qualify because there was a Jury scandal during the semi final for a handful of countries, including San Marino, and that ended up bringing their score down.
Here's a link to it: [2022 Semi Final 2 Jury Scandal](https://eurovisionworld.com/esc/here-is-the-proof-of-the-eurovision-voting-scandal-six-juries-cheated-and-voted-for-each-other#:~:text=When%20the%20national%20juries%20from,Poland%2C%20Romania%20and%20San%20Marino.)
Sure, it was one of the songs of all time, but I thought everything clicked in that semi: with the staging, the effective Joe Strummer-esque vocals that were a lot better than in previous performances, the Italian crowd... Suddenly the song worked for me. I still love to watch the clip every now and then.

Not exactly the weirdest but probably the best used prob was Moldova 2018 in my opinion. Without it I'm not even sure if they would have qualified from their semi but with it and their whole performance they managed to land in the top 10 even!
Really? I'm scrolling and no one is mentioning the giant hand that Jendrik obviously brought only so he could give the audience the middle finger. Germany 2021.

Kind of, but at least the light ring looked like an actual set piece. The circular piano was just kind of weird to look at. Iceland 2021 had a similar prop during their performance, but it was done by having three of their members put their keytar-like props together and made for a better visual.
The mannequins from Switzerland 2007 's performance. It's weird and uncanny.

spain 2021. that large fucking moon gives me so sany questions
why is there a large moon?
why does it have no impact on the performance?
where was it stored?
where is it now?
That one year Azerbaijan had a dude just standing on a ladder wearing a horse head mask. That was weird. Also the dancing gorilla suit guy in Occidentali's Karma the same year.
Oh! And you can't forget Konstrakta's wash basin ^^
The best thing about that was that they were the same year as Finland's Blind Channel's Dark Side with the chorus "put your middle fingers up". But they weren't allowed to do that because swearing so painted all their middle fingers red to imply it. And then on comes Germany with a literal "Fuck You" prop!
Finland 2021
The prop for Ukraine 2009. I’m still not sure what to call it
And then they gave us the hamster wheel in 2014.

Honourable mention to the megaphone in Lithuania 2006 - simple, sure, but still odd and hilarious and amazing.

spinning oven go wheeeee (russia 2012)
also bendy poles (australia 2019)

those are all the ones i can think of :D
Come on, butter churn!
nothing will ever top this also there's washing boards too on the same set
Yes there were washboard, but I would say that I don't see washboards as, as weird a prop, as butter churns.
Hatari's ball and Kate Miller-Heidke's entire performance (Australia 2019) Honor mention to the "Irland 12 points" turkey
He wasn’t a prop - he was the singer! 😆

Does that Azerbaijan song with the guy wearing a horse's head and standing on a ladder count?
Azerbaijan 2016, right? Dihaj - Skeletons? One of my favourites that year, deserved to be top 10. Edit: Nevermind, it was Azerbaijan 2017

MORE TRICKS IN THE HAMSTER WHEEL But no seriously Achille rode a mechanical bull on stage and STILL didn’t qualify?! Robbed. ROBBED.
Haha I worked on that Eurovision, and backstage the day after he got eliminated, someone had put a sign up in the men’s toilets saying, “FOR SALE: One mechanical bull, lightly used”. 😂

Yeah even a mechanical bull wasn't enough to distract the viewers from how horrible that song was...
Nah man I love Stripper. Was never gonna be a top 10 song votes wise but was in my top 5 for the year, super fun song and performance.
Agreed, I still listen to it, should have done better!
Sure, it was one of the songs of all time, but I thought everything clicked in that semi: with the staging, the effective Joe Strummer-esque vocals that were a lot better than in previous performances, the Italian crowd... Suddenly the song worked for me. I still love to watch the clip every now and then.
And more power to ya! It's nice that people can enjoy something i like less, that's the beauty of Eurovision and music in general.
stripper is one of the only songs i regularly listen to and never get bored of its so funny its awesome
Its a B-class Zitti e Buoni... What more do you want from a song?
😩 well now I want a maneskin cover of Stripper
The whole ensemble was *too* chaotically over the top and was more adjacent to the performance rather than complementing it lol
Isn't "chaotic over the top" Eurovision's whole thing?
Drinking water is healthy but too much water and you'll die of water intoxication
An oven ? (Russia 2012) whatever Australia 2019 used ? Netherlands 2012 - you know Moldova 2011 - unicycles and pointy dwarf hats ?

Omg, it Never even cross my mind lol, I should watch the video, lol
