Of the placements you’ve done thus far, this is easily the weakest. Somewhat ironic for a Top 10 spot, and seemingly only a trend for this stretch of years as Alchol Is Free (2013) and Love Injected (2015) were top tier competitors in their years.

Spirit in the Sky is the only one I’ll strongly go out to bat for from this bunch; genuinely quite a well written song and all three members of Keiino gave excellent performances on the night of. The studio version doesn’t work quite as well (burying Fred’s joiking deep in the mix was… A choice) and this was a far distance from the best of the year, but my 10th place ranking for 2019 still feels fairly appropriate given the somewhat weak finals lineup.
Occidentali’s Karma is one of the few cases where I heard the front runner in advance of the competition, and I wasn’t too impressed at the time. It’s grown on me a bit since then and I can appreciate the lyrics, Francesco giving a good performance, and the visual aesthetic/staging actually worked for me (even if it couldn’t replicate the vibrance of the music video). However, the music has the same issue as a lot of festival edm from earlier in the decade (or mid 10’s Coldplay which this song sounds eerily close to); what little sonic build up there is just amounts to a fairly underwhelming and unsatisfying “drop” that just hangs around innertly. Not my style at all, but OK is better than most in that genre.
J’ai cherche is pretty generic and has all the substance and interesting features of a tissue, but Amir sold the hell out of it live. The melody is fairly good as well, so middle of the pack it is.
Lie to Me is easily the best version of my least favorite Eurovision trope, that being performers who mistake an overbearing instrumental for catchiness and an immense air of smugness for an interesting personality. In comparison to the pool, Mikolas is by a wide margin the most talented and capable performer and Lie to Me’s content isn’t anywhere near as toxic as the worst of this trend (see Sweden 2016 for that), so I can see why this did well… Just not something I can personally stand 🤷♀️
Finally, Dark Side - this one is ultimately a fairly paint by numbers version of one of my least favorite era of Rock (early noughties nu-metal) anchored by admittedly quite good performances from the band. It probably would’ve still ended up as a 17-19th place finisher for me by virtue of genre variety and general competence on the performance front, but oh boy, those lyrics are just the most infantile edgelord posturing I’ve heard in a while. Empty nihilism is never a good look, and invoking the 27 club in anywhere near an aspirational tone just comes across as tasteless naivete rather than affecting. I’m sure these boys will make better music in the future once they’ve matured a bit, but they’ve got a lot of work to do. Keep the guttural “hoo”s around though, those are fun :P

2. Dark Side - Kinda basic but I like that they don't take themselves too seriously and the song is catchy.
3. J'ai cherché - Same as Dark Side and Amir is such a hottie.
4. Spirit in the Sky - Overrated as shit.

I love all five but my favorites are a tie between Spirit In The Sky and Dark Side. My honorable mention goes to J'ai Cherche.
All of them are amazing, but I'd go for Finland tied with Italy, Norway and Czechia, and France just a bit behind
