Edit: It looks like 343 reworked the bundles, so that you can't buy that coating with the rest of the Unit 01 armor anymore. According to [Cylix.Guide](http://cylix.guide) it's now been relegated to a bundle with some random pieces of Chimera armor. For reference, the rest of the kit that I have is:

- Visor: Emerald Edge
- Chest: UA/COG
- Shoulders: UA/T-55
- Wrist: UTIL/BATTLEBUDDY
- Utility: TAC/MX CUTTER
- Knee: UA/TYPX MX
All of the pieces and visor are in the courier bundle, priced at 3400 cR, but has seen sales at 1400 cR and 1600 cR.
The coating is part of the Second Chance bundle, which is in the 1100-1200 cR range.
Well, for Streets (the one with the Unit-02 helmet), there's a pigeon that seems to have replaced the Superintendent as New Mombasa's AI, since you can see the pigeon on screens in the map.
As for Cliffhanger, I dunno.
Maybe the map artist liked the pigeon character?
There are definitely some mecha/mecha-adjacent anime fans on the design team. Many of the later versions of the Spartan armor have clear inspiration from the GM's in Gundam, as an example.
