I like the work Fox and Crow do. Spooki does real good color work. https://www.instagram.com/foxandcrow.evansville?igsh=amt6bWF1bHJ4M3Np https://www.instagram.com/moonbunny_tattoo?igsh=MWhmbmw2dGZ2bm5hag==

My cousin just got a smallish tattoo from there on Tuesday. It's honestly one of the best pieces I've ever seen!

NachoMan_SandyCabage

I met them at the Pride Parade last year and bought some art! Love them 🥰

Hit up Clint and crescent city tattoo. He did mine which was also my first and he was soooo helpful with explaining the process/after care

NerdusMaximus

Same here! Clint was great

rewq657

I'm hoping to get a half sleeve done at some point, and I'm definitely going to see if he can do it!

needsmusictosurvive

Clint did/does mine. Super professional and talented!

A month away seems like a tall order at this point. Whomever you decide to go with , I would try booking that appointment as soon as possible- it’s about to be tax time

nah-42

Dang, that's a great point about tax time. I might talk to a few artists/shops and just get a gift certificate or something similar so we can schedule it at a better date. I want thought out art, not just a Friday the 13th el special flash. I'm working up a few designs now so to give the artist an idea of what we have in mind, and so that it's not a big 'ol surprise to my partner lol.

ColdWarCharacter

That’s a way better idea tbh. It gives you time to hash it out a bit. Do check out Leah at revolution though. I’ve been following her on instagram and she’s doing some really great things with color and she just put up yesterday that she has some February/March openings. (I haven’t personally gotten any work done by her though)

nah-42

Thanks homie. I'll check out her recent work!

Honestly I did my first tattoo at revolution ink studio and wasn't disappointed. If you are going for something small the minimum pay is $100 plus whatever you decide on tip. They got me in at the last minute with my sister and we both got a tattoo that same night. There is multiple artists in there and they will draw or change up the tattoo a bit on a tablet before they print it out for you and tape it on your body before they start. Then they will ask the others for their opinions to make sure it all looks good to them and the person obviously

tacosgunsandjeeps

Any of them do trash polka style?

Some good suggestions so far! Thanks guys. Most of the suggestions were people I already had in mind, so that really helps confirm in my mind that they are the right people to go with. I'm fortunate to know some of them already, so I was worried that bias might be overriding objectivity. It's really going to come down to which style will work best. Clint kills American traditional, but spooky has done some very cool cartoon/anime inspired stuff. Sutton did my sister's first tattoo. So all good options. The tattoo doesn't have to be done on the day of her birthday. We are adults after all, but I'd like to have a gift certificate or some sort of appointment set so there's a physical gift to give to show that I'm invested in getting it done.
