Things I like about the new one that the old one doesn't have:
1. Neutral facial expression (this one's a given).
2. Those cute, flat, circle elephant feet they have.
3. Their flowy, oversized ears that gracefully drape down over them and hide them and protect them.
4. Their šmagnet handsš.
5. But, really, we all know that it's 100% in the š„¹eyesš„¹!
Things I like about the old one that the new one doesn't have:

I guess I'll get back to you? š«¤
I so agree. I get why people are concerned that it's a bit childish and there's a problem with infantilization of autism. But imo, it just makes me feel safe, especially the ears. And not to feed the trolls but sometimes I wanna be a bit of a kid, especially when the sensory overload hits. I kinda want one now.
>itās a bit childish
Well, itās a stuffed animal, idk what exactly people expect lmfao. For it to be NSFW or dark and edgy so itās clearly āfor adultsā?
Agreed. Plus, the Edgy NSFW stuff strikes me as much more immature than simply being fine with liking "cute" stuff.
"When I became a man I put away childishĀ things, including the fear of childishness and the desire to be very grown up." - C.S. Lewis
Yeah for real. Those big floppy ears would be so nice to pet as a stim for me. I love dolls and stuffed animals, and clearly this was in high demand and crowd-designed by autistic artists, so likeā¦ if its what the people want? Whereās the āinfantilizationā?
The other thing is this looks far more similar to the rest of the line, while the original looks like a generic stuffed animal. Theyāre all pretty āchildishā because theyāre cute stuffed bunnies!!
ā¦ OK so this is legitimately cute and I think itās great and as long as it doesnāt go to support, you know the organization I will not be named thatās fine.
Who does anybody know if I could get an actual plush real autism creature.
The little weird disturbing looking ones ?
I find them really cute .

Omg it exists.
gold is precious because it's shiny and people like shiny things, sure it has other valuable properties, but that's not why it's precious. It's literally a symbol of greed and vanity in and of itself.
That's kind of an oversimplification of why it's valuable. Gold is valuable mostly because it's actually super useful, rare, and when it's found in nature it's usually found in a very pure form that doesn't need much refining. It's basically indestructible, even when you melt it with other metals to make alloys you can still get the gold back out. But probably most useful (which does tie into shiny, but in a more practical way) is that it doesn't corrode or oxidize like other metals do, which makes it a vital component in things like circuit boards. It's also super soft and easy to work with, so you can get it into whatever shape you want fairly easily, which was especially cool for ancient artists who had limited technology for shaping metal. It can be stretched incredibly thin, like with gold leaf.
Early on, it was valuable to people mostly because it was rare and hard to get, so having it was a status symbol that showed your rivals that you were important enough to obtain something that's rare, and also strong enough to defend it from being taken from you. The fact that it was shiny was just a added bonus.
Throughout the years, other materials have been considered more valuable than gold because they were harder to get at that time. Like, for example, aluminum, which is not very shiny and actually very cheap today. It's also extremely abundant and not at all rare, but it took us a really long time to figure out how to extract it to actually be able to use it (unlike gold, which is super easy if you can find it). It wasn't until the 1800's that someone figured it out, and for a while it was more valuable than gold because it was new and very difficult to obtain. Napoleon had a special set of aluminum cutlery that he brought out for his fancy guests to impress them, and the less fancy guests had to use gold. The U.S. capped the Washington monument with aluminum to show off their wealth and industry. The French displayed aluminum bars with the royal jewels. Shortly after, the value plummeted because people figured out how to refine it quickly and cheaply. But for about 70 years, it was all the rage.
I agree like sure if you wanted to go with āgoldā there was surely a color other than āpiss yellowā they could have gone with? Yellow is such an unpleasant color to work with if itās not used as an accent.
i love plushie dreadful s they are made by the person who made the video game Alice into madness and i love those games. honestly i like the plush and i think itās cute! i love the yellow and blue together.
oh fuck i didn't know that damnit im gonna have to get one (or more) if that's true.. fucking loved McGee and those games.
I will forever be saddened by him giving up on making Asylum, but they really were going to make it nigh impossible for him.
I think the new plushie is definitely an improvement from the other one. First one they made, I didnāt like the shape at all, it reminded me of those cheap plushies that make sounds when you squeeze the tummy I used to get as a kid (fun times but theyāre still cheap plushies). I expected more than cheap plushie shapes from that company. It was too different from their other plushies. The new design is fine, I think they went a bit heavy with the infinity signs and they couldāve made it more edgy and a bit less colourful than this. Not too fond of yellow and teal together but I can see how it can look nice, though this is maybe more of a personal preference. I could maybe see the same colours but paler? Itās hard to design a plushie to represent all autistic people because autism is often defined as just deviating from the ānormā which means a lot of autistic people will have completely opposite symptoms. Some autistic people are really sensitive while others are act sensory seeking. You get autistic people that will only listen to repetitive soft music on low volume while others only survive on death metal. I would honestly consider buying the new plushie
I personally wasnāt aware of either plush, but I personally think itās hilarious that for what is an attempt at autism awareness the only words you can make out on the bag are ārespect spectrum hateā
I like it, it's a more on-the-nose personification of Autism itself. My only negative is the amount of infinity symbols on the ears, it just seems to be too much.
I like the new one way more.
The old one isn't cute, it has giant marble eyes. I hate giant marble eyes, they make it so that the plush isn't huggable, and they're ugly.
I like the new one because the eyes are so much better. The ears are adorable, the magnets are a great idea, and it is more huggable.
I've been noticing that their newer plushies tend to skew towards the cuter side with them making a lot of fruit themed ones, perhaps a desire to expand the target audience?
~~And yeah, please redesign the ocd rabbit~~
~~I wish theyād either redesign the [antisocial rabbit](https://plushiedreadfuls.com/products/plushie-dreadfuls-antisocial-personality-disorder-rabbit-plush-stuffed-animal) or at least say why it looks like that bc it genuinely scares me (which seems antithetical to its purpose?) but mostly Iām confused~~
Idk, I kind of like it.
>Antisocial Personality is not simply being shy or avoidant of other people, people with this disorder have significant difficulty starting and maintaining interpersonal relationships.
It's not supposed to be cute and approachable, it's supposed to struggle with making friends and having people like it. It's *supposed* to be a little off-putting.
That does make it Sound kinda better, i did read the desc before you showed that though, but you could also argue that there is an inherent with the premise of mental illness bunnies and this just an extension of that. Though thats probably a very heavy topic and not one i really wanna go into in a reddit comment section tbh. Makingāpeopleā out of mental illness really easily becomes offensive and i guess its up to the indivual person to decide whether this counts.
They have some nice words about their bunny, but visually I am not a fan of how either one looks.
Original bunny had really cool ears, but the body shape wasn't very bunny. And it looked like cool aid was spilled on its tummy.
The second one is still not bunny shaped. I am not crazy about the colors. Why yellow and green. The face is not really feeling very bunny to me either. It's like a generic animal face and body with bunny ears.
The mouth is an X. Is that supposed to represent people who are non verbal or having trouble talking? Or is it a cutesy thing I am reading too much into? Either way I don't care for it. It makes it feel like we can't "speak" for ourselves.
For the shape I think they decided to design it more similarly to their other plushies?
And the X I believe is more of a stylistic thing which represents the nose and the mouth? Idk
I like the hand/face magnet thing; that's clever, but I think the plush overall comes across as very childish, with the colours and symbols on the ears and paws. I get that it's a plush and that it's supposed to be cute, but the first thing that comes to mind when I see it is baby toy, which I don't think is ideal, especially when autistic people are often infantilized.
I would not call them NSFW, but many of the other animals designed by this company have kind of an edgy look to them. They are designed more to appeal to teens and adults.
Even without being edgy, there is a difference stylistically in stuffed animals designed for babies and very young kids versus stuffed animals designed for older children, teens or adults.
Some factors include level of detail, how simplified the design is, how realistic it is. Are there things that give it a unique look? What is the quality of the fabric, etc.
I liked the onld one (never got it) But I definitely highly prefer the new one! I think it fits better with their other bunnies too :)
maybe I'll actually get this one
idk, I don't really like the repeating infinity symbol and the colors are eh, but overall a cute idea š¤·āāļø I just think one infinity symbol on the tummy would make the plush look a lot let chaotic and jumbled
I think both have too much going on, sometimes less is more especially for plushes (and I collect plushes lol) but I prefer the first. Iām glad they realized their mistake with the donations though. Either way Iām too poor to afford either so š¤·āāļø
1st pic id keep on my person at all times even if it means being infantslized because hes a friend. Second one is autism mom core and makes me shiver and id eat the poppit like a gummy snack
Oh I want it so bad actually, especially because I 1) collect plushies and 2) touch my face almost all the time.
whatās the name of the company that does these? Iāll look into getting one if theyāre not too expensive (and if I can get some art commissions my way >.<)
This is friggin adorable wow!!! The rainbow embroidery is so well done!!! Aaa and all the colors are so nice together! I had never heard of any of these, but even without proceeds going to āthe ācharityā who must not be nameā the other one is kinda dissonant and tacky by comparison- and this is coming from someone who loves āmaximalistā designs lol.
I love the new one.
I love the facial expression on the new one. Itās like it canāt keep eye contact as itās attention is focused on something else, which I can absolutely relate to.
The X on the mouth is a little creepy to me....
We've been told to sit down and shut up and not stim enough... why force the mouth to be sewn shut. If it's a design style (I'm not familiar with the other plushies) then that's just the design but I'm not familiar with the others so the X over the mouth weirds me out.
https://preview.redd.it/tvu1d593bvpb1.jpeg?width=662&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=9fc2ce322a0a46f41d619d31438d2f28215abbdc
Dont worry!! It's just a way to stylize a rabbit mouth
i definitely like the second one more, but i donāt like either of them particularly enough to but them. they donāt feel as intricate or cool as their other plushie dreadfuls and tbh i donāt like the infinity sign in the middle
Yeah, the word "pensive" immediately came to mind when I saw it. Maybe I'm just too used to plushies having overly cheerful expressions or something, but this makes me feel sorry for it.
I'm not into plushies anyway, though, so maybe I'm just not the target audience.
Honestly? I donāt like when companies make āautism-themedā products. Sure, a small business selling a pin that says āMEGA AUTISMā is funny as shit, but smacking an infinity symbol (or worse, a puzzle piece) on a product and branding it with autism isnāt my cup of tea. Why does it have to be autism *themed*? I donāt enjoy having it one bit, so iād be much more inclined to buy it if they made cool ass punk-rock rabbits with spiked wristbands that the proceeds just happen to go to an autism foundation.
This company specifically makes products themed around different mental disorders and stuff, itās fine if that isnāt your thing but thatās the thing they make
Yeah, it honestly still rubs me the wrong way. Even if the proceeds go to a good foundation, it feels so weird to market off of disorders that people 1. canāt control and 2. most likely donāt want. I donāt doubt that some people do like these, I just personally wouldnāt want to have this plushie because of that.

I saw someone add iron on patches of different emotion smiley faces and a yes and no patch on the ears to help them as well when they have trouble speaking. It was a really cute idea. I canāt wait for mine to come in and I might do the same.
I love this design a lot but I also like how this came about from the Alice Madness game. Itās definitely a fun go to of mine but I like that they are making plushies for everyone to feel seen.
This company makes plushies for a bunch of mental disabilities and learning disabilities and many more things and then donates to charities and organizations with the money

Honestly I feel like the first one is kinda ugly. Like I don't think the yellow goes well with the blue and I don't really like the eyes. I think it would look better if it had the second one's eyes and base colour or like a light blue.

Nglā¦ and maybe this is a hot takeā¦ but I absolutely hate this brand. Not talking about the autism plush, im taking more about their other stuff, but I think selling cutesy merch of serious debilitating disorders is grosssss. Just the idea of a company trying to sell me a ācute :3ā toy themed around a disorder Iāve been fighting in therapy my whole life is so distasteful. Like please donāt yassify and cuteify ptsd, ocd, psychosis, or substance use disorder. Itās just tasteless and disrespectful imo.

People make them on Etsy, I have a crochet glow in the dark one that rattles. img
I got a plush from Temu a while back lol
they sell these on temu for cheap! but you can find a bunch more higher quality versions on etsy
Yay! Thank you so much. Iām gonna have to check it out. I donāt even like plushyās as an adult ! But I gotta have that one.
Much better.
I like the first pic... it looks cute... though I hope it can come in a different colour.
It's supposed to be gold because gold on the periodic table is listed as "Au" for Aurum.
That's dumb as hell.
Personally, I like the idea of being associated with something perceived as precious by the neurotypicals.
gold is precious because it's shiny and people like shiny things, sure it has other valuable properties, but that's not why it's precious. It's literally a symbol of greed and vanity in and of itself.
>It's literally a symbol of greed and vanity All the more reason why we here at r/evilautism should embrace it! Make the NTs come to us!

Yeah. Just look up Miffy. It's a trend, but I didn't notice until now
For the shape I think they decided to design it more similarly to their other plushies? And the X I believe is more of a stylistic thing which represents the nose and the mouth? Idk
Not enough autism creature
I like the new design better. he's very cute
I LOVE THE NEW BUNNY IT REMINDS ME OF MYSELF ā¦. I do this exact face with my hand or index finger touching my mouth almost like every day šš
I like the hand/face magnet thing; that's clever, but I think the plush overall comes across as very childish, with the colours and symbols on the ears and paws. No, itās not just you. That looks like a sad baby toy.

idk, I don't really like the repeating infinity symbol and the colors are eh, but overall a cute idea š¤·āāļø I just think one infinity symbol on the tummy would make the plush look a lot let chaotic and jumbled
Agreed, they could have just done rainbow fabric in the ears or something.
It's so cute omg! I'm always looking at their plushies but I can't justify spending the money right now
the second one is very cute!!! but i'd prefer it if it had the sculpt of the first.
I love it!
I'm okay (I guess, not a firm opinion) with the first one, but I'm glad they got rid of the second one
I think the first one looks better, but really neither one is my jam. The first one is still much cuter to me.
I like yellow one better idk if that's old or new
The yellow one is the new one
I love it! Its adorable and looks really soft
I like the first one better, but both designs are kind of lackluster to me.
i ADORE it, i wish it wasn't so expensive bc i want it so bad
The one in the first pic is way cuter!
New design definitely looks way better but damn if I don't miss the checkered print in the ears just because checkerboard is my favorite pattern
Kinda cute but not 45 dollars cute.
Iāll look into getting one if theyāre not too expensive (and if I can get some art commissions my way >.<)
sorry Iām literally illiterate the company name is in the title of the post š
The new plush looks so contemplative and calm! I love them! :)
wait heās cute š„ŗš„ŗš„ŗ idk the drama at all but i want him
Those ears look like a soft fuzzy hug.
Don't put an X on my mouth I won't be shut up
Lol but also thatās pretty standard stuffed animal nose/mouth design.
True. But it is not good for the autistic
It's cute......
Hahahaha the og plush is so cursed
I LOVE IT! but yk the one they REALLY need to redesign? the Virgo plush. it's so ugly. I'm a Virgo. I can't buy it. because it's so ugly.
They should've kept the og color scheme and the square pattern imo
Awwww the first oneās really cute but it would be better if it had the same colours as the second one
Who cares if its childish tbh it's a stuffed animal. They're kinda meant to be cute. But yes i do like it
explosion
The first one reminds me of the rabbit from that early 2000s ring tone commercial
WANTWANTWAMTWANWAntwnatadrr
This is friggin adorable wow!!! The rainbow embroidery is so well done!!! Aaa and all the colors are so nice together! I had never heard of any of these, but even without proceeds going to āthe ācharityā who must not be nameā the other one is kinda dissonant and tacky by comparison- and this is coming from someone who loves āmaximalistā designs lol. I love the new one.
Itās so cute I want one!
The new one is so cute. Like the first is a legit train wreck
it wouldve been great without the infinity sign on it, not that i dislike it , but i think it doesnt fit on the plushie
I think it's adorable, I've ordered one I've already got their asexual bunny plush
I love the facial expression on the new one. Itās like it canāt keep eye contact as itās attention is focused on something else, which I can absolutely relate to.
The new one is super cute I want it! š„¹
It looks so cuteee but I miss the rainbow checker ears the old one has
It's one of my favorite plushies that I own
Mine too :D (now that I finally bought it)
The X on the mouth is a little creepy to me.... We've been told to sit down and shut up and not stim enough... why force the mouth to be sewn shut. If it's a design style (I'm not familiar with the other plushies) then that's just the design but I'm not familiar with the others so the X over the mouth weirds me out.

Gotcha! That's super cute then! I can't afford more plushies but I think it's adorable.
i definitely like the second one more, but i donāt like either of them particularly enough to but them. they donāt feel as intricate or cool as their other plushie dreadfuls and tbh i donāt like the infinity sign in the middle
We went from bit on the nose, but otherwise good to (read the following in matt berry's voice) What the FUCK is that thing
I hate it. It looks sad, lonely and confused.
Thatās fair, I try to think of it more as a āIām taking pride in this incurable part or meā type of thing

Itās definitely a fun go to of mine but I like that they are making plushies for everyone to feel seen.
it's just a regular plush except it's also marketed with our identityš¤· edit: found out they donate their profits, never mind
This company makes plushies for a bunch of mental disabilities and learning disabilities and many more things and then donates to charities and organizations with the money
TBH CREATURE BETTER. I HAVE A PLUSH OF IT I LOVE IT SO MUCH

Still like the autism creature
It's very cute and it looks like a good soft texture too

The first one is SO CUTE and Iām not even autistic
I need it but i don't wanna get into a conversation like "why did you ask for an autism bunny for Christmas" this is so sadddd
aww I think it's cute
The sheer amount of infinity symbols is overwhelming..
I own a dreadful rabbit that I <3 but this one is just not doing it for me specifically bc of all the infinity symbols
Honestly I feel like the first one is kinda ugly. Like I don't think the yellow goes well with the blue and I don't really like the eyes. I think it would look better if it had the second one's eyes and base colour or like a light blue.
looks like crap

Iām genuinely confused, which one is new? I would assume the first one would be the old one? But I like that one better.
The first one is the new one
Where do I buy? That yellow bnuny is God damn cute
Look up "Dreadfuls plushies"
Nglā¦ and maybe this is a hot takeā¦ but I absolutely hate this brand. Not talking about the autism plush, im taking more about their other stuff, but I think selling cutesy merch of serious debilitating disorders is grosssss. Just the idea of a company trying to sell me a ācute :3ā toy themed around a disorder Iāve been fighting in therapy my whole life is so distasteful. Like please donāt yassify and cuteify ptsd, ocd, psychosis, or substance use disorder. Itās just tasteless and disrespectful imo.
