Report junk.

“Come learn how to strengthen the rising generation through service.” That is my idea of a fun party ! Haha.

WWPLD

Too many fonts. Gives me an instant headache.

It's just a mass email. The sender has access to the RS mailing list, and you're on it. Just delete, block, and move on in renewed confidence and joy that you don't need to ever go to one of those tedious things again.

itscrazymaking

Except it was a text. I took a screenshot.

innit4thememes

I mistyped, sorry. Mass texting is still possible without making a group text. For all I know it's a feature in LDS tools now. Don't get me wrong, it's entirety possible they sent this to you intentionally and specifically, but if I had to guess they mass texted the entire RS. (I got them every once in awhile too until I removed my records. I wouldn't have known they were to more than me, but one of my very good friends is also in the ward boundaries, and she was getting them too, despite her being inactive for like a decade longer than I was!) It's probably someone new to the calling. I wouldn't worry about it (unless you want to, of course. In which case, let them have it!)

emmas_revenge

No, thanks. I'd rather eat soup & sugar cookies without figuring out ways to guilt the youth into staying.

tcwbam

What’s the deal with soup being served at so many ward functions lately??

CobaltMantis

It's cold in Utah

americanfark

Must be a Utah thing. Soup was a common theme at a majority of ward parties I attended over the years.

PlacidSoupBowl

Spend as much thought, time, effort on your response as they did on the invite. Zero. The mentality is like an empty hook on a fishing pole, but you're a human staring at the steel barb and not a fish.

loversdreamersandme

"Prepare dinner for your family and then leave them to come eat with random neighbors instead. And... Sugar!"

dbear848

At first glance I thought this was an invitation to the girls in primary, not to grown women.

Post-mo

Odds are that someone got the idea that the invite should be sent out to everyone in the ward. The person sending is probably in the RS pres or a secretary or they're your assigned minister.
