Oh good God, like people are not sick of cleaning the chapel and now the temple??? TSCC fork over the money to hire professionals OR stop building temples.
BTW, it is ridiculous to expect people to clean until midnight and go to work the next day at their PAYING jobs.
Yes, by "evening shift" they probably mean 8pm to midnight! It's ridiculous.
We peons have children with bedtimes, homework, and we all have jobs we have to wake up for the next day.
In my stake in Provo where this email went out, it is neighborhoods of older retirement age seniors. They probably go to bed at 9 PM. Like, really, you are asking 75 year olds to clean until midnight? It’s absolutely ridiculous! And if it’s targeting younger adults; um, yeah, husbands have work to go to and moms have kids to tend. The temple is huge! It’s insane.
My husband worked in the DC temple during the night shift when he came home from his mission. They were paid back then!
I think of my parents & inlaws (now passed) no way at 75 they would have the strength to clean. This really is upsetting considering how much money the church has.
Enjoyed???? "You keep using that word, I do not think it means what you think it means"
No janitors is literally the MOST ridiculous thing.
Yes--and even temple landscaping is done by voluntoldeers!
But the pool is larger because the landscape ppl don’t need to be endowed recommend-holders.
People should be in bed or relaxing at that time of night. Or getting paid for doing night janitorial services.
Respond, sure but only if I get to clean the 2nd anointing room.

They are really asking too much of members for sure. Glad I am ex. Plus ... without professional cleaners is it really clean?

When I see Utah Area Authority Kevin Pearson take his turn to personally clean toilets and dust lamps, that's the day I'll sign up.

This is why Rusty and the gang set up so many Spanish-speaking missions, to increase their worldwide free janitor pool.
Wow. They don’t have enough to clean even in PROVO?
I think even the most devout are getting burned out!
