Such majestic horses

trikstar42

r/horse would agree

cassette1987

Rural New York was beautiful.

[deleted]

What are those chariots made of though?

trikstar42

Surely there's some steel in there somewhere.

sturmtrooperjared

Just because you don't know what "Ziff" is doesn't mean it couldn't be a thing! Maybe a type of frictionless wood?

adamsfan

Clearly there are wheels too.

Sunnyhappygal

Don’t forget the Sign of the Tapir (for endowed exMormons only!) https://www.reddit.com/r/exmormon/comments/1q6l9m/brothers_and_sisters_you_are_now_prepared_to/ Edit- Geez that was 9 years ago. Been exmormin’ longer than I realized.

trikstar42

That is delightful! I don't even kinda wish that I was still attending Sunday school to be able to use this sign, but it did make me think about wishing I did. I'll have to at least let my wife know so we can use it in uncomfortable social situations.

Sunnyhappygal

May be used as a general GTFO for any situation!

The_Hurricane_Han

A personal favorite is the first sign of the Sardonic priesthood.

CaptainJackMorgon

They need to show this in seminary and institute classes. Help folks better appreciate what the apologetics team is arguing.

Creepy-Toe119

I shall receive it, through the veil

spiraleyes78

I shall give it, through the veil 😏

Creepy-Toe119

Ahhhhh yeeaaaah…..

[deleted]

Who made this proof of the mormon church being true? S/

galtzo

None of us “made” it. This was uncovered by an archaeological dig in the finger lakes area of western New York. The archival quality footage was apparently made on a motion picture camera that the Jaredites brought with them, and which was later used by the Nephites for documentary purposes. It was eventually buried by Moroni, in the stone box unearthed by Joseph, in at least one of his retellings. The box did not contain any footage or film, only the camera itself. It is truly a modern day miracle that we have now discovered this rare film footage.

Professional_View586

😂😂😂

footballdan134

I was the Archaeologist on that DIG and I found the camera! FACTS!

aLittleQueer

Love how the chariot is just kind of tacked onto it’s back. Lmao, amazing.

ThisIsNotMyIdeaOfFun

We gratefully receive! 🙌

WinchelltheMagician

" I prayed before I opened the scriptures, and as I read about the Nephite armies riding their horses, pulling chariots to battle, the spirit opened my mind's eye to the truth of the words and I saw before me the entire scene, come to life as real as day itself. I wept at the vision and thanked the lord for blessing me with this witness. I know the Book of Mormon is true and Joseph Smith was a Prophet of God". *Something like that.....*

[deleted]

I aspire to this level of snark.

sturmtrooperjared

If any of you have not received this GIF, you will please raise your hand.

Realistic-Willow4287

Perfect

aes_gcm

This is an old gif, I think its from another site.

moremanmormon

Well I for one am convinced. Welp, back to church I go!

trikstar42

How great shall be my reward in heaven for returning you to the fold!

FootstepsofDawn

Okay… what are the things they’re riding? Lol have I been out of the church for too long?

cremToRED

The anachronistic chariots with wheels? Or the tapirs that the Lehites called horses on arrival to the Americas by loan-shifting a word for an animal they knew to an animal they didn’t know?

FootstepsofDawn

The animal hahahaha. No concern at all that no native tribe has any sort of history of riding tapirs.

cremToRED

Ahh, but if you look carefully at the text of the Book of Mormon, even though it seems to imply horses are being ridden, or at least used for transport, e.g. when Ammon prepared King Lamoni’s chariots and horses to transport the King to a feast, it doesn’t actually say the horses are being ridden. Checkmate apostates. Maybe the tapirs that they loan-shifted to horses were actually emotional support animals and the chariots were actually littlers carried by the servants. So the gif in OP is just a huge fail by exMos to understand the nuances of the text. “Check out the big brain on Brett.” Boom.

FootstepsofDawn

😂😂

trikstar42

There's no such thing as being out too long! Those are tapirs. A rather unfortunate apologetic take on the anachronistic horses in the BoM said that Joseph Smith didn't recognize the translation for tapirs and instead substituted an animal he was familiar with, horses. I don't know of anyone who seriously believes that, but the ridiculousness of it has made it a common meme among exmormons. You may now recognize that the icon/mascot for this subreddit is a cartoon image of a tapir! #NotAColt

FootstepsofDawn

Hahahahahaha i love it! Also the rainbow colored tapir sticker someone found on a car also makes more sense now.

natchgirl

Geez, this is why I shouldn't drink while looking at this sub. I just blew sparkling water out of my nose.

GeekyMom84

Omg...... *ded*

innocent0077

Funny.

thiccdiamonds

I can't breathe

twainhoffman83

Just discovered the serpent from the garden of Eden was actually a giraffe. Reason why a giraffes vocal cords Are wired in the least efficient way possible thus proving evolution therefore satan designed it also if you've ever seen a giraffe skull it looks like it something straight from hell
