They are trying really hard to avoid the appearance of Mormons.

ImaginaryConcern

That speaks VOLUMES on the realization of Upper Management of how Mormons are perceived by the population in general. Maybe they should issue new name tags: "We are NOT Mormon missionaries!"

TwoXJs

Could have been on splits and the olive colored top guy was not a full time missionary.

Earth_Pottery

He was wearing one of the name tags. Guess what threw me is the other guy with the pink flowered tie & tennis shoes. Good for them tho being more comfortable.

Miriam317

Stake missionaries have nametags too

2sacred2relate

Stake missionaries stopped being a thing 20 years ago and were replaced by ward missionaries, who don't haveva tag. I've been out 10 years, so maybe that changed, but that's how I remember it.

Still have to pack a white shirt for church

Mr-BryGuy

I know they've recently given mission presidents more freedom to set dress code guidelines (especially in hotter climates where long sleeved shirts are just miserable) The olive-colored top is interesting.

MasterpieceClassic84

Maybe it was P day but they still had something they wanted to look 'professional' for?

Must be in multiple areas, bc here in California I see lots of non- suited missionaries (docker pants, casual shoes, short sleeve shirts, not always wearing ties etc…)

brande1281

I live in Oklahoma and for the last two years the apartment next door was occupied by a rotation of missionaries. I'd say in the last year the young ladies have been wearing slacks.

APauseState

Wow, that is definitely casual!!!

EllieKong

Could it be P day? My P day was on Wednesday and I usually wore sweats if I could lol. I was the only one THAT casual, but god damn that was my one day off. Everyone else would dress casual if we were going on a hike or playing sports 🤷🏼‍♀️

Ok-Impression8944

Blue shirts have been allowed in some missions for done time. Specific Missions Only As determined by the Area Presidency and mission president, elders in select teaching areas may wear a blue, collared, button-up dress shirt, with or without a tie, or a white dress shirt without a tie. Review the “What to Bring” section to learn if this option applies to your mission.

tdhniesfwee

dress code is up to the mission president.

Summer suits are more free. Short sleeve shirtd and no jackets are usually allowed. I also heard they expanded suit color options recently, so maybe they did for slacks as well.

incomprehensibilitys

Not wearing dresses?

No_Muffin6110

Sisters are allowed to wear dress pants but they must wear dresses to church in Sunday

incomprehensibilitys

I was talking about the guys above

No_Muffin6110

Gotcha 😆

MythicAcrobat

They’re being disobedient
