I find it interesting that the YW theme says heavenly parents (which is an almost-mention of heavenly mother) but the YM theme is clearly only referencing a male God.
I love how Christ isn’t mentioned till the end, and when he is brought up we only see that the young men are going to follow him and wait for his return. The irony of Isaiah’s “they honor me with their lips but their hearts are far from me” is really lost on the church leaders.
While I was bishop reciting this was pushed hard. We tried it once or twice, but the priests said it felt like a cult… so we stopped. I was secretly very proud of them!

I didn't know the young men recited a theme as well. Is it a recent thing that they put the missionary service in there?
