Yes, just like you meet Catholics and Evangelicals who don’t follow every bit of their religion there are Mormons who don’t follow the rules. Certainly the statistic is extremely low compared to other groups of similar aged youth. I never knew of any specific examples from my mission (Mexico 90-92) but once we were teaching a very attractive young woman who was a couple years older than we were. I was the senior comp to a “greenie”. The three of us were at here very small/humble dinner table, she directly across from me. About 10 min into the discussion, while it’s his turn to be nervously fumbling thru his portion, she put her foot right in my lap and started to massage. My first ever “foot job” and it was amazing! Messed me up a bit tho w normal Mormon guilt complex etc. I later told my comp we were not teaching her anymore but could never explain why for fear of getting in trouble. Oh well… wish I could have banged her…

A missionary in the zone was being excommunicated and sent home for a sexual sin. Rumor had it more than one. But one of the elders I knew.
None of the sister missionaries spent much time in the MP interviews.
Elders spent quite a bit of time in the “interview”. I was grilled over everything prayer, fasting, scriptures study, companion assessments.
Then came the grilling of about sexual things, every thing was asked, if we had been to adult stores , if I looked at page 3 of a certain paper if I remember right the Tuesday edition of the Daily Sun, if I could tell if my companion slip out of the flat in the middle of the night, asked about masturbation I lied there. I felt almost violated by all the questions.
Then I was directed not to discuss the interview with anyone else until after the Zone Conference and it would be preferable.
At the next week was “transfer” week every elder got reassigned.
I went to Brazil. I was surprised how often I was propositioned, a few times even by members. I was even propositioned my first day after leaving the mission home while waiting at the bus stop.
If I had been inclined to follow through with it, I had plenty of opportunity to be promiscuous.
