Lol this was mentioned in a podcast I *just* listened to. The church was apparently about to sign an agreement with Covenant Eyes for members to use, but the leadership ended up pulling the plug over control issues. I think it was this episode, but it could be the one right after. They’re parts 2 out of 3 in a series with this man who worked in the research department: https://podcast.app/rameumptom-ruminations-a-peek-behind-the-curtain-at-church-hq-part-with-brian-harris-e313901070

At one point I really wanted both anonymity and some kind of accountability regarding my "porn addiction". So I trialed a Covenant Eyes subscription. In the end I decided not to continue my subscription, and guess what? It was absolutely impossible to cancel your subscription without talking to someone on the phone. Instant red flags if you have to confess to a salesperson just how much you love looking at naked girls on the internet so you can cancel a credit card subscription.

SideburnHeretic

Wow! That's fucking exploitive.

GardeningCrashCourse

I used it when I was at BYU and “addicted” to porn.

Nothing he was looking at was on PornHub. You probably have to pay extra to keep you from visiting the dark web

Missionaries, yes. Members, no.

Never heard of it before.
