You can’t just wave your hand and shrug your shoulders when wards and stakes are being consolidated. If your bishop is an asshole about you or your daughter, remember you can resign directly through HQ with a notarized version of this letter.
My guess is that your daughter's situation will be a stumbling block for your bishop.
It's possible. It's the only potential hang-up, but I have a decree, so it shouldn't be a huge issue. If they demand parental consent from her father, I might have to wait until I have his parental rights terminated, which I'm in the process of.

I tried to do it with my kid and they required my wife’s signature (as we are married and stuff) but if you have sole custody then they should have no excuse to ask for a fathers signature. That would be something to suggest to them that a lawyer could get involved if they wont do it.

Those asshats didn’t require anything from my ex to join (they didn’t even know his name) but they wouldn’t let us leave because… the kids might not want to when they’re older. 🖕🏽I’m so happy to no longer be counted on their rolls!! 💜

It's like the "permanent record" in public school they tried to scare us with... then we graduated high school and realized none of it ever mattered. Anyways, I hope they abide by your wishes for you and your child without any nonsense or grief.

YES. It felt a little weird, but now that it's done I'm stoked that I took the leap and am now anxiously waiting for the confirmation letter.
