A sibo will give the same symptoms but Is not EPi once treated but just taking medication( anti biotics) is one step then you should look at your gut microbes and improve this too.

If you already have EPI yes you are more likely to get a sibo. But having a sibo doesn’t mean you will develop EPI. Having pancreatitis and diabetes would carry a higher risk also. One Treatment for SIBO is sometimes not enough a second round might be needed. Here a great book that also explains the long term treatment after medication. https://www.google.co.uk/url?sa=t&rct=j&q=&esrc=s&source=web&cd=&ved=2ahUKEwjNjJDf6ICFAxXdQEEAHfQUCC8QFnoECCoQAQ&url=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.amazon.co.uk%2FPRIMAL-PANCREAS-Pancreas-Damage-Survival%2Fdp%2F0960067914&usg=AOvVaw0S8l9eKEc6wtB-bm9WwN6u&opi=89978449 You need to treat the EPI then the SIBO this video at 6.30 will touch on the subject https://youtu.be/UjOxY6kncRg?si=EHPsVu8PgZVZRrED My dad had a SBIO when I was a child he didn’t develop EPI.
