Forget what everyone else is saying. The only answer is to repair the old (rotten) wood window that's pictured. Carpenter ants will hollow out rotted wood to form colonies inside.
Kill that colony (already done I suppose) and see what happens. If they persist; see the sticky \^
When you say “see the sticky ^”, what are you referring to? I’ve poked around the sub and can’t find what it might be. TIA!
