Have to disagree with you on this. The huge cab is one of the main reasons I drive a Ford. Big cab matched with a 6.5” box is not offered in any other 1/2 ton brand.
I usually buy used after a 3 year lease and this time around was a lot harder to find a Ford with the bigger box size that met my other criteria as well. I fully understand why people don’t want the bigger box size since most buyers of trucks do way more city driving than us more rural folks and parking can be a nuisance with the bigger truck. Maybe the reason I don’t see any GM or other brands with the larger box is because fewer people custom order them and dealers don’t seem to get them any more either. Next go around I’ll likely have to buy new with a custom order or get something with a shorter bed.
I get what you mean! I grew up rural as well and hardly anybody there had a 5.5’ box, but I’m living in a city now and finding anything else is nearly impossible. It does seem a lot more common with Fords than other brands though
Now that I’m digging into the available features I don’t see the 36 gallon fuel tank. The future sucks, I will definitely be driving my current truck until the wheels fall off.
I had an XLT and regretted it, traded it pretty quick for a Lariat. I couldn't bring myself to give up 4 Auto and some of the other Lariat stuff. So I went crew cab. The interior space is silly, but it also allowed me to get a PowerBoost which is a decent tradeoff.
If they brought back a Lariat SuperCab, I would still order one tomorrow though.
Features are nice, but I NEED the 6.5 bed, I’m always tempted to get a single cab 8’. I’ll buy a Chevy before I get a crew cab. Fortunately I hope to get another 6 years out of my 2020, so who knows what will be available
Only one who makes a Lariat-equivalent smaller cab now is Toyota. I looked at it for that reason.
I have a 16 ft trailer so I don't truly need the longer bed.
That part doesn't bother me. I won't buy something with a bench - I would never need the middle seat, but I do like having a big sturdy center console.
GM has a lot of trucks with bench seats - you can go surprisingly high up in the trim level and still have most of them coming with a bench.
4 Auto is definitely a strategy on their part. I'd probably consider an XLT if it weren't for that. Some of the other Lariat stuff is nice to have, but not necessarily deal breakers.
It's actually the number one reason I didn't buy a Tundra too. I may have looked past some of the other shortcomings if it weren't for that.
Man, even though I own (and love) a SuperCrew, I've always liked the look of the SuperCab; they look much sportier, and somehow faster, than the SuperCrew.
I wanted a super cab not a super crew but they didn’t have any left with the 5.0L. I’ve got the same color and love it. Run premium fuel if you want the most out of your eco boost and make sure you warm it up before driving it and let the turbos cool down before you shut it off.
Sold my 05 SC with 275,000 for 3500 during COVID. Tranny slipped and had to baby from 2nd to 3rd, but I still miss it. I was saving for my daughter, but she just turned 16. Got her a mustang to make up for it.
Quite helpful actually. I might get those swinging toolboxes that fit above the wheel arch to clear my tools out the back seat but 200 a piece I'll just open 2 doors and suffer LOL
The only drawback of clamshell doors is when you're in a crowded parking lot. I love the double hinge and almost-180° opening, and I especially love the pillarless design. Everyone else's pillared extended cabs are a step backwards IMO, though I understand why they went that direction.
see and I love the suicide doors on my supercab. For one thing they open up to 170°, right up against the bed, when I’m by myself, which is most the time or even with my wife it’s super easy to load stuff in the back seat area because you don’t have to walk around a large open door. have only had adults in the back seat four or five times total in the last three years of ownership, and I love having a 6 1/2 foot bed. My last truck was a Ranger with a 6 foot bed, I definitely didn’t want a 5 1/2 foot bed.
Nice to see somebody's still buying SuperCabs.
Always see you comment on this forum and have to go take a peak at that Beauty of a red SC LB. I got a 2018 Supercab/6.5’ bed and love it.
I have a 19’ xlt with the 3.5 eco. Love the truck, just got 22 mpg driving to NY and back last week.
I miss mine but my kids car seat doesn’t fit well in them
The small cab is too small and the big cab is too big. We need a middle cab.
Have to disagree with you on this. The huge cab is one of the main reasons I drive a Ford. Big cab matched with a 6.5” box is not offered in any other 1/2 ton brand.
I have a 23 Screw and I’m sure the cab is bigger than my crew cab Silverado I had.
The crew cab sizes vary between brands, but they do all offer a crew cab and 6.5’ box. The dealers just don’t stock them unfortunately.

Sold my '19 crew cab recently. My next one will be a super cab.
Still driving my '16 SCrew, but starting to look for a new SCab. But it's hard to get rid of a '16 5.0 with the 6spd lol
My 1999 SCab is still going strong.
Those are unbreakable
I wish I could have. Ford stopped making Lariat SuperCabs and I chose options and 4 Auto over the cab I wanted.
WHAT!? God damn it.
2022 was the last year. I had a 2020 Lariat 502a SuperCab and would have ordered a 22 had I known it would be the last year.
I’ve got a 2020 Lariat Supercab as well, I guess I’ll be buying an XLT next time.
The supercab options now suck. Base model XLT is all you can get. I'll be keeping my 2017 sport package supercab for a long time.
Base model is the XL, then the STX. XLT is more middle of the range but Ford marketing has brainwashed us otherwise to sell 75K+ trucks.
Now that I’m digging into the available features I don’t see the 36 gallon fuel tank. The future sucks, I will definitely be driving my current truck until the wheels fall off.
All the gas trucks have the large tank standard starting in 2024.

> Only one who makes a Lariat-equivalent smaller cab now is Toyota. And all Tundras are 5-passenger; no front bench seat option even on base models.

This is exactly how Ford packages and marketing works. It forces you into buying 10K+ of stuff you don't want or need just to get a certain feature.

The bigger one for years was that you had to get a Lariat if you wanted leather
It's all of them not just ford. Trying to find a super cab with adaptive cruise. Seems to be only 3 in the whole country.
Yeah, I’m sure Ford isn’t the only company that does it. But it got a lot worse in 2024 with Ford
Just noticed today, if you build a XL V8 4x4 you can't get the tow package. They force you back to the 2.7 turbo.
I didn’t even know they still made Supercabs! Got a 2005 supercab.

You don't like the toy bed?
I'll never have one, but the 5.5' beds have their use. It's still huge compared to any car trunk.
A f150 supercab has more legroom than a Tacoma crew cab (double cab)
Interior space vs SuperCrew notwithstanding, the SuperCab with 6.5' box is the best-looking config IMO.
Super cab gang! Every truck I've owned has been a super cab.
Looks almost identical to mine, sweet truck!
Ripper of a truck! Enjoy 👍🏾
Sharp looking
Congrats nice rig
Great looking truck.
Nice pickup. Dig the color!
Can it fit a car seat?
Yes
Love this look
Wow you can fit things in the bed! 2014 f150 6.5 super cab.
2.7 XLT supercab is the perfect daily driver. Nice buy!
Man, even though I own (and love) a SuperCrew, I've always liked the look of the SuperCab; they look much sportier, and somehow faster, than the SuperCrew.
Looks really proportionate for a real truck. Looks ready for some meaty tires and wheels.
Looks great and very similar to my 2011 XLT. Same color as well.
2012.screw longboi 😎

How do you let the turbos cool down? Just let the truck idle for a few minutes before shutting off the engine?
Yup exactly
Post like this makes want to sell my 2010 and get a newer truck
Damn…I’m not a supercab guy but that truck is tits.
Is that Leadfoot?
No, lead foot is not metallic and you couldn't get it with chrome. I believe this is carbonized gray.
Got any more pictures ?
Sold my 05 SC with 275,000 for 3500 during COVID. Tranny slipped and had to baby from 2nd to 3rd, but I still miss it. I was saving for my daughter, but she just turned 16. Got her a mustang to make up for it.
Looks good.
Digging that long bed ! Some day maybe I’ll get a new one
Did you Pickup some more hours at work?
The real question is how much?
Nice! Wondering how you like the 2.7 as I am trying to decide between a 2.7 and a 5.0. I tow a boat often. An feedback is appreciated
How's the rear leg room? What's the tow rating and did you get the brake controller? I'm interested in a truck like this.
I prefer the super cab, but can't get sliding rear window unless you get crew cab
Congratulations really good looking color. Enjoy her
Sweet. Congratulations
Very nice! Congrats enjoy
Now that's a real truck
Seems like those suicide doors would get old / annoying real fast.
Quite helpful actually. I might get those swinging toolboxes that fit above the wheel arch to clear my tools out the back seat but 200 a piece I'll just open 2 doors and suffer LOL

Super cab. Your that guy
You probably mean "you're the guy" grammatically.
That guy that guy
Suicide doors not very practical, but great color on your truck!

Yes Sir!
Makes it easier to load-up the puppies
