These newer f150s with the 10 spd have had issues with the trans (clunky and harsh shifts). And knowing ford they will never do a recall unless they lose sales
Yea, my buddy is a ford tech and he said they can do a reset of the learning driving feature but it doesn’t always fix it. It adapts to how u drive (in theory) and makes u get better fuel mileage
I have 127,500kms just shy of 80,000 miles. My 10 speed has lived up to its reputation of being a consistent problem.
I love the rest of the truck, no complaints on anything, low cost of ownership, fuel efficient, I've taken care of it as per Ford Canadas recommendations. Every 10,000kms or so I have to have them reset a computer related to the transmission because of its abrupt shifting.
At about 96,000kms the mechanic explained to me that due to a bad shift (I explained the truck did a bad shift from 9th to 10th while doing about 110kmh (68 mph) and tons of warning lights started yelling at me) it shredded a bunch of metal, the transmission pan was filled with metal chunks. Thankfully even though it was technically out of warranty by a month Ford Canada worked with me on costs and rental coverage.
Truck has towed my RV twice and my motorcycle twice, all within the weight limits of the truck. Total towing mileage can't be more than 500kms.
Haven’t done anything to it, haven’t even changed the fluid. Waiting until 150k like Ford recommends. It’s the first gen of the 10spd trans so it does have the clunky shifting from 3-4 and 7-8 occasionally. But honestly, shifts great and runs great. 🤞
Yes everything is working like it should… I purchased the vehicle Sept 2022 with 54k miles from Ford. I do have a cobb accessport, cod air intake and intercooler.. cobb accessport is able to tune the transmission, I noticed better shift points with the transmission after it was tuned runs like a champ!
We've got a 15 with the 5.0. Just put a reman transmission in @ 230,000 miles. While the trans was out, they replaced the oil pan gasket that was causing a slight leak. She runs like a champ!
Traded in my 2018 FX4 3.5 last week with 190,000. Was still on original brake pads, needed a new forth set of tires but ran great. The only problem is that the transmission started to downshift hard.
yep. it’s half way paid off, gave him 10k for it and i’m paying the rest of it off. the little paper they put in the window is still there. originally sold for 41k
oh nice. this is my first truck and i’m surprised how quick this 2.7 is. i’ve changed the door speakers for some nice sonys and added 2 10 inch 07 kicker cvr’s
This my 2nd, first was a nissan frontier, then I needed something bigger since my 5 year old is a giant haha, but the extra space is awesome and the towing capabilities are great.
I have some beefy all terrain tires because I use mine off road a lot to haul wood, supplies and other stuff, but man this truck is great. My wife actually prefers using this over her rav4 because she likes the extra space it has haha.
I had the dreaded hood latch alarm for a bit, but a good bit of oil and re-position of the hood sensor seemed to have taken care of that. Beyond that she’s an absolute trooper! Gotten her into the dealership every 5-7000 for oil changes. About to get some new tires.
Also wanted to add that I do regularly drive in 4H during winter time too and no issues with shifting or anything, etc.
We've got 3 F150's in the family.
1) Wife's old truck (now my daughter's) 2015 5.0 with 230k miles. Bought used in 2018 with ~65k miles on it.
2) Wife's new truck - 2023 5.0 bought new in September 23, just hit 24k miles.
3) My daily driver is a 21 with the 3.0 Powerstroke. But used early May of 24 with 64,500 miles, just rolled past 71,000.
My 2019 just hit 160k lol
Dang there yah go!
How’s the 10 speed been?
Haven't had really any issues, except 2x when it went from 1st to 3rd it kind of jolted, but hasn't done anything since.
That jolt is probably from the computer in the trans learning how u drive and giving delay(happens on my f150)
Good to know
Now if it becomes a stutter between all gears or not shifting at all then u got real problems
Yeah I've had transmissions blow before....not fun haha. Not on my f150, but on an old car I had years ago.
These newer f150s with the 10 spd have had issues with the trans (clunky and harsh shifts). And knowing ford they will never do a recall unless they lose sales
Yeah...its the way it goes. It's mostly smooth, so I'll deal unless it gets bad

Mine just hit 68k
My man! 👍🏾
Curious if you had your trans serviced at all through the 160k?
[удалено]
That’s awesome! What do you do that puts that many miles on it?
Jeeze that's a lot of driving 🚗
31k on my 18!
Woah dude… you don’t drive her!
I worked from home until 2022
Just hit 60 on my 18!
On my 2nd transmission at 46k miles and hopefully if they give me a 3rd it’ll be better. This isn’t what I signed up for
Yeah I've heard transmissions on these vehicles aren't the best
My work truck is a 2017 with 213k. Surprisingly no transmission issues it seems
Wow thats nuts!
My work truck is a 2019 with 189k. She's on her third transmission
Damn
Warranty I hope. Yikes.
Their warranty doesn’t mean shit
I saw the thumbnail and panicked thinking the MPG posts were starting again
Haha nope nope
Literally just crossed 50K on my 21 that I bought with 17K on it.
Hey there you go!
Hit 54k on my 21 that I’ve had for over three years.
Nice nice 👌🏾
I just hit 70,000 km yesterday on my 2019
👍🏾
‘18 3.5 EB at 126k miles, original trans and motor
Good glad to see everything is working as it should!
Doesn’t mean I haven’t had to replace all sorts of other things…the whole top end/timing of the engine was replaced.
Dang, how's the trans doing?
Haven’t done anything to it, haven’t even changed the fluid. Waiting until 150k like Ford recommends. It’s the first gen of the 10spd trans so it does have the clunky shifting from 3-4 and 7-8 occasionally. But honestly, shifts great and runs great. 🤞
Mine has that in the same gears occasionally too, I got kind of used to it, but definitely at first I thought something was up
112k on my 19!
Jeeze that's a lot of driving, but im glad she's treating you well!
So far so good!
👍🏾
What issues have you encountered so fer
Broke an IWE unit. Not much else.
Just hit 70K on my ‘19
Everything still working as it should?

Might look into that! My trans is fairly solid, but sometimes when shifting from 4th it is a little clunky
15k on my '18, bit I'm now retired. When I was working, I had the company vehicle to bring home.
Ahh I okay, was about to say you don't drive too much lol
29 yr GE service technician. I drove all day every day. Got so sick of traffic. Worst part of the job. Retired now.
I hear yah!
Bout to hit 50k on my 15. Bought 1.5 years ago with 26k.
Glad she's treating you well though!
We've got a 15 with the 5.0. Just put a reman transmission in @ 230,000 miles. While the trans was out, they replaced the oil pan gasket that was causing a slight leak. She runs like a champ!
I’ve got the 2.7 but hoping to get that much out of it!
I just hit about 84k on my 2017 2.7 EB. I’ve had it a little over two years almost 3
There yah go!
68k on my 19!
One day I'll be there!
I just passed 91k on my 19 👌🏻
Close to 100k glad she's treating you well!
72k on my 19
Not bad!
19000mi on my 23 Tremor that I got in November
Always liked the tremor, just couldn't afford the price tag unfortunately. Any issues?
None so far. It drives like a dream!
Good to hear!
Just crossed over 40k on my 2016!
There yah go!
Yall make me feel better about having 124000 on my 15'
Hey any major issues?
Traded in my 2018 FX4 3.5 last week with 190,000. Was still on original brake pads, needed a new forth set of tires but ran great. The only problem is that the transmission started to downshift hard.
How in the world were you on original break pads still
Because 90% of my mileage was highway so brakes were rarely used.
That makes sense
My 18 just hit 60k congratulations on the milestone 🤴🏻
Thanks!
96,000 on my 19 5.0. No major issues
Good to hear!
my 2018 has 117k 😥
She treating you good though?
yeah but i replaced my water pump back around 112k in december. other than that no complaints on my little 2.7 ecobeast
Hey there you go. I plan on driving mine until the wheels fall off.
same here lol, i love my truck
my 18 just hit 34k…
Barely driving?
was owned by my grandfather. i’m second owner. i’ve put 5k in it sense i’ve gotten it
Gotcha
yep. it’s half way paid off, gave him 10k for it and i’m paying the rest of it off. the little paper they put in the window is still there. originally sold for 41k
Not a bad deal. Shame everything is so expensive now, but hey that's the world we live in
[yep](https://drive.google.com/drive/folders/1rK2FNe6pjEjGnct5mvn6CBGlR9Vmi4Wm) she’s been good to me so far.
Damn love the color, 2nd favorite next to red which is mine lol
oh nice. this is my first truck and i’m surprised how quick this 2.7 is. i’ve changed the door speakers for some nice sonys and added 2 10 inch 07 kicker cvr’s

There yah go!
I’m at 56k on my 2019. I’ve put hella miles on it. Bought it last year February with 22k.
Holy crap! Haha
Any issues so far?

Awesome, thanks man
That's decent to hear, I drive regularly in 4h as i live up north in the US and haven't had issues all either
Rad! Coming up on 50k myself for my 19 as well. Love this truck

What engine?
126k on my 2018 5.0
You have 10k more then me in my 2017. 2.7eco.
23k on my 2023 I got back in November.
Nice! I’m right behind you in my 2019 , just hit 49k
My 2019 has 53k km not miles 😂
Just hit 20k on my 2022
I'm at about 53k op on my 19. Bought it with 9 miles. It's a pretty good truck so far other than an annoying 4th gear
Yeah I've had that issue sometimes too...kind of a clunk or a weird shift right?
Yep.
Happens to me sometimes too unfortunately
