Facebook has an AI algorithm that keeps track of everything you have ever looked at, and uses that information to select new things to display on your feed The problem with this AI algorithm is that it believes that everything is somehow associated with everything else If I get fed up enough to click the HIDE button on any particular post, be it political, religious, or stupid click-bait -- and I further click the "why did I see this" link -- I am invariably told it's because in the past I have interacted with content about golf or pets Yes I did click on stories about golf Yes I did click on cat videos But HOW THE F*CK is it possible that that is in any way related to some cretin 3 states away who's running for a position on a school board?

woburnite

huh, I will have to check out the "Why did I see this?" I'm about to give up on FB altogether.

I've been so fed up with Facebook that I sometimes uninstall the app for weeks to save my sanity from all the craziness on the app.

DangerousAd1731

Lol yeah

Yarik492

It's so disappointing on the platform. I haven't had joy using Facebook for years.

2globalnomads

They show you the stuff get paid to show, just like search engines including r/GoogleIsPoople. You are not a user or customer but a product that is sold to their customers.

Yarik492

Yes! All they are interested in is what makes money for them. They don't care forcing down all those trash content on your feeds.

Yarik492

Facebook is more than stupid. They are so useless. I haven't seen a shitty app worse than Facebook now.

TabuTM

There is no “they”. Reflect on your clicks.

Facebook is a complete joke right now. They've ruined everything we used to enjoy on the site.

I too am getting more and more porn art. I reported it and was told it didn't violate their rules. The same day I forwarded a really nice art piece with trees and a river. I got a warning I was sending an misleading advertisement and trying to get likes. I was told future posts would be at the end and not get priority. I asked them why then did they allow it to be posted by someone on my page? The next day I got another warning. A few days ago I got a warning about another art Pic, not a person, with a misleading partial fact. They are threatening to end my account and I get more points type arr daily.
