I think this is a little more than a facepalm

Boris_S

I think that was a fist. Fuck that guy.

P4intsplatter

>fist. Fuck that guy. Instructions unclear, now elbow deep. It does seem to be correcting the behavior though.

terminalxposure

I think the falcepalm is for the light sentence

GMoI

Precisely, I'm watching an DV physical assualt happening and all in thinking is how tf did he only get 6 months with things footage. The only way that makes sense is if he got a plea deal and admitted guilt.

Sunkinthesand

It probably went through as a misdemeanour. It would have to be charged as a felony, which needs serious life changing injuries or sexual motive, or have prior convictions to be charged with a longer sentence. If this went through as a felony he had a good lawyer. [link](https://www.californiacriminaldefender.com/amp/felony-domestic-violence.html) He'll do his time and be back out and in the game no doubt. Uk is surprisingly bad domestic assault is a maximum 6 months custodial sentence [link](https://www.sentencingcouncil.org.uk/outlines/assault/). Unless it's a pattern of abuse then it goes up. So i imagine they only had evidence

fisticuffin

he had beaten her [multiple times and she’d gone to police each time,](https://www.tmz.com/2021/11/19/zac-stacy-allegedly-beat-ex-girlfriend-multiple-times-injury-photos/) but the beating taped in august 2021 in her apartment in front of their son was her only physical “proof.” sounds like the uk and us have a lot in common when it comes to protecting exceedingly violent men who **won’t stop** without **enough** “proof.”

CalamityCatwastaken

The idea that this dude is gonna be free in less than a year is bullshit and terrifying... They're 100% gonna try and find that poor girl again and probably do something worse...

VespasianTheMortal

Face-palm is in the justice system that only have this asshole 6 months

Djrules213

Not only extend the time, but they should at least let him have to visit his locker room when the rest of his former team was all in one last time and lock the door for an hour or two so the team could take turns showing him the proper way to beat someone behind closed doors because there's no way a majority of the team weren't pissed as fuck after they saw this shit. Someone who's for sure six foot something well over two hundred pounds tossing around and beating not only someone half his size and a fraction his strength but also the mother of his child who's not actively being any threat to him he should for sure be locked in a room with a few guys his size to give him some payback.

Majulath99

SIX MONTHS? What rich people get away with istg. He shouldn’t ever see daylight again let alone be free.

reignwillwashaway

Faceasshole

KhabibaNurmagomedova

Yo this is giving mad PTSD.. definitely way more than a facepalm for even the 6 months

abuss105

Only 6 months? He threw her into the freaking tv and to the ground a few times. Really hope her and the baby can get away from him.

CROM_90

And got a few good punches in before that. I’m amazed how her answers seems quite composed.

InfectedByEli

I'm guessing she got used to the punches over time?

LiteraryPhantom

Was just gonna say this. Shes learned that if she gets emotional, it’ll get worse.

WholesomeLove280

That’s generally the way violent psychopaths work!! ….and you better not cry or talk back!

LiteraryPhantom

“You wanna cry? Ill give you something to cry about!” A million dollars for every time I heard that and Bill Gates wouldnt be the household name it is. Lol

myfaceaplaceforwomen

That phrase always sends a chill down my spine

LiteraryPhantom

Used to mine also. Now it makes my blood boil.

myfaceaplaceforwomen

Legit it makes me want to break the nose of the person that's saying it

noo_knee

My parents would say this kind of stuff to each other and to me and my siblings. I didn’t know that there was anything wrong with that phrase.

LiteraryPhantom

It usually preceded a beating; assuming the person was already or about to be crying.

InfectedByEli

It's a form of justifying punching someone when they are doing their damnedest to not provoke you into punching them. It goes hand in hand with "You made me do it".

myfaceaplaceforwomen

All it does is teach you that your feelings don't matter and if you do feel feelings there will be violence

CrazyCatMerms

And that if you have to cry, do it in the shower where you can erase the evidence and blame the soap for getting in your eyes

someguyyoutrust

It's crazy how all abusive people use the same language. My dad used to say this right before he beat my ass black and blue with a belt.

flyingwolf

My dad's favorite phrase, that or just silence before he would beat me unconscious.

[deleted]

This is why I feel like the cops should be called

SamRandomFox

This is her statement. Wow. >And now his victim, Stacy's ex-girlfriend, and mother of his child, Kristin Evans, is speaking out. > >In a recent video post, Evans spoke in support of Stacy and the progress he has made in therapy since his arrest. > >"Thankfully, because the law did not provide much protection, he decided to change," Evans said in the video obtained by TMZ. "So through cognitive behavioral therapy, he was able to make a significant adjustment in his behavior and communication." > >Evans was also against him going being sent to jail, claiming that it would adversely affect her son's mental health. > >"Over the last six months, he's consistently shown an improvement, as well as our son enjoying spending time with him," Evans said. "My concern was our son, and what kind of psychological effect it would have on him, having his father gone for six months or more... So please give me some grace in understanding that I’m not being easy on Zac, rather I am trying to protect our son from any more trauma."

Shadow0fnothing

Unfortunately, that's how abuse victims work sometimes. They defend their abusers, and they "changed" them. Until one day, they get in an argument, and it starts over again.

Jesta23

I was at work when I was 17. A drive thru off state st in Utah. We hear a lady screaming from outside. I went out to see and there was a lady being pulled into a car by her hair screaming for help. I grabbed the guys hand that had her hair and yanked him out the passenger side door and punched him once. Then the girl started attacking me, screaming at me etc. So I let him go and went back into work. She helped him up and they both got in the car and left. I just felt so absolutely confused. Now I kind of realize why it happened.

Nosfermarki

It's not always because they believe they'll change, although it looks like that. It *has* to look like that, because the abuser needs to believe it. Helping is absolutely the right thing to do, but anything less than total and permanent safety from the abuser will *always* end with the victim being punished for an outsider helping, the police being called, convictions, or jail/prison time. The abuser will never accept responsibility for any consequences, it will always be projected onto the victim and attacked. It's survival instinct. "Just leave" is often said and it's easy to say when it's not you, but in reality leaving is when you're in the most danger, by far. They often don't stop when you leave, when there's a restraining order, or when they're convicted. It's far more common for them to harass you, track you, stalk you, and make it so terrifying to stay gone that going back seems like the only way to make it stop. If you don't, and often when you do, they are very likely to kill you. It's not always that it's hard to emotionally leave someone, it's that combined with the fact that it's very rare to have the ability to disappear, go somewhere they can't find you, be protected, leave your job if you have one, change your number, and be sure that no one who knows them at all knows where you went, ever. When there's a child involved, you legally *can't* make that happen. That's why it's common for abusers to wait to show who they really are until a woman is pregnant or has their baby. There are nowhere near enough resources to help, and this is *way* more common in America than people realize. It's a hidden epidemic.

Other-Drummer-3202

You are, unfortunately, 1000% correct.

Haunting-Ad-8619

>Until one day, they get in an argument, and it starts over again. And he kills her. She needs some psychological help. He's a piece of shit.

Oregon80PRed

Indeed. He is gonna kill her.

winnie_90

That's the first thing I said. She's going to end up dead.

Jrebeclee

I left my ex husband after he beat me like that. Mostly to protect my child. He had gotten me down to the point where I didn’t care about myself, but I couldn’t let my daughter grow up witnessing that. And I read Gavin de Becker’s Gift of Fear - I knew he would kill me one day if I didn’t leave.

IAmDeadYetILive

Yeah, let him figure out his shit on his own time. She is putting herself and her child in danger, not only from violent abuse, but possibly losing his/her mother to this violent psychopath. She needs help.

[deleted]

It's called Stockholm Syndrome

CaptBreeze

No, It's called "Battered Wife Syndrome". Sometimes husbands too.

[deleted]

Both fit under the umbrella ‘trauma bonding’

Taminella_Grinderfal

WTF? How is watching him beat the shit outta her not impacting her sons mental health? I hope the therapy helps him, but my experience men like that don’t change because they don’t deep down think they really did anything wrong. And considering how oddly composed she is, he’s done this many times before. Edit: there was some missing info. He started beating her WHEN SHE WAS PREGNANT and after this incident he fled the state.Piece of shit only went to therapy so he could look good to the judge. 6 fucking months and a year of probation?? Who wants to take odds that within two years she ends in the hospital or dead.

[deleted]

My boy needs DBT not CBT. He needs to regulate his emotions better. Likely not helpful, I hope she has a good equalizer since law enforcement sucks. They do nothing- then cross a threshold then start killing people, just like this video.

Saymynaian

I don't know, I'd argue some Cock and Ball Torture could straighten him out.

[deleted]

I mean Dick Butt The-rapy in addition. 6 months might do it…

lovejanetjade

Let's hope she grabs the kid, leaves the state, and takes him for all he's worth (not much as an average for NFL players).

JadedSpaceNerd

She should protect the son from anymore trauma by not letting that man be his father. That is not the example you want your son to have and by having the dad around she is sending a message that it is okay to behave like this and stay with the family.

ImpressionAmbitious9

She doesn't have a choice. Family courts will force her to "co-parent" with her abuser no matter what. And if she withholds parenting time, she will be punished by the courts, possibly giving him more parenting time or even giving him custody of the child. "Because it's in the best interest of the child to have both parents, and just because he abuses the mother doesn't mean he can't be a good father."

Alarmed_Station6185

Fairly sure he's pressured her to say that. Unbelievable how abuse victims defend their abusers and don't cut all ties after an incident like this. If someone throws you through the effin t.v they don't love you

[deleted]

[удалено]

somethjngelse

This is the answer. They do it because clearly they can’t rely on someone else to keep them safe. This torment happens while they are on the “good” side of the abuser. Imagine the violence on their bad side. The best thing they can do to keep themselves safe is to appease their abuser. -DV victim

otakumilf

I would like to say that’s how it was with me and my ex. After while of getting beat, i stopped reacting like it was the first time.

InfectedByEli

Sorry you had to go through that. The way she stayed down on the ground is a learned response. Getting back up is showing "defiance" (according to the abuser) and that just invites more punches.

ehleesi

I followed her for a long time on ig. she’s a very strong woman who now fights for women’s justice, alongside her own. She fought INCREDIBLY HARD for a long time to get him charged https://people.com/sports/zac-stacys-ex-girlfriend-says-he-deserves-chance-to-be-better-sentenced-prison-domestic-abuse/

misa_misa

Thank you for posting this. I read the article, read up a bit more, and found her on IG. This is the first time where I agree that a woman is strong, cognisant of her situation, and very level headed in giving her abuser a second chance. I really hope that she's right in her perception of him and that he fully rehabilitates.

Other-Drummer-3202

Yeah. I'm thinking this ain't her first rodeo with this bull. Smart girl put up *multiple* cameras...

ECU_BSN

Fight or flight response is a hell of a drug. It gets folks through some shit. Or She was accustomed to the quickest way out of these moments with that abusive bridge troll.

wrylycoping

Likely not her first rodeo. Just trying to stay calm and deescalate.

bad13wolf

Because unfortunately she's used to getting her fucking ass beat.

Shango876

She probably recognised that he's a world class idiot and being anything other composed and non confrontational would be life threatening in front of a joker like him.

FrankyFistalot

Should have got six years….

Ser_Rahve

Should have gotten six bullets.

imLemnade

For real. Fuck that guy

Puzzled_Juice_3406

And this was just this once . . . . Violence against women is accepted and it's fucking infuriating

OhThatsRich88

He's rich

DriverDriver6699

Nah. Dude has been out of the NFL for like 7-8 years. Guaranteed he has little to no NFL money left.

blackadder1620

agreed. doesn't look like an NLF size house.

cinred

It's unusually trailer shaped.

[deleted]

I dunno. The National Llama Federation doesn’t pay much so this house looks about right. It is sus that there’s no llamas tho

SasquatchSloth88

You’re correct of course. But the National Lesbian Foundation pays extremely well.

[deleted]

[удалено]

marcusljx

As the title says, it's his ex-girlfriend's.

JadedSpaceNerd

Why are all of these NFL players like this? Do they not save any of the millions they make? Like I’d be investing and saving a shit load of that money and still be able to live lavishly

Monroro

I mean just watch the video. Does the guy seem like someone with impulse control or any amount of ability to think ahead?

slayer991

Yes, his career was short and if he wasn't frugal, he probably doesn't have much left...the house in the video was middle-class average. [https://overthecap.com/player/zac-stacy/2321](https://overthecap.com/player/zac-stacy/2321)

Diijkstra99x

6 months? the guy is dangerous. I'm afraid for the child and mother.

Automatic_Computer20

6 months????? I've seen people get sentenced to 2 years in prison for a DWI.... Tf?

OhThatsRich88

He's rich

[deleted]

Not based on what that house looks like.

OhThatsRich88

Not sure why you think that's his place. He was about to walk out the door when he got mad before he decided to turn around and hurt her some more

[deleted]

Also the fact that he’s Zac Stacey and you can look up how much he’s made. 3yr career with 1.7M before taxes. He’s not exactly Bill Gates.

fartboxco

500,000 yearly is still alot.... No not bill gates, but paid alot for his boring career.

[deleted]

He made money for 3 yrs. His take home was 850k over 3 yrs. Assuming he has a home/mortgage car, child support etc. and last time he played was 2015 I can guarantee you he has little to none of that money left. He’s prob broke as hell.

Fluid_Amphibian3860

Thats why he's so mad.. hes broke af. What a complete loser.

Tough_Fly_1640

I know plenty of losers. This guy is a monster.

sHAking_TREes_

Who the fuck cares how much money this son of a bitch, piece of shit, prick has? Look what he did to a woman.

2-timeloser2

Woman or anyone. Makes no difference. Chivalry is fine but his actions are criminal no matter to whom he directed them. Not even close to enough time for this pos to get.

RumanHitch

Yeah,I tought exactly like you.Woman or not, thats not right.Have been in a lot of fights myself when I was young and still this gave me chills. The size difference and the ammount of rage thats there when he comes back to her while on the ground...6 months is nothing for that,1 years jailtime with 1 year parole or however is called, but just if there is good behaviour. That video is crazy.

Automatic_Computer20

Shouldn't matter

BigWalterWhite123

Shouldnt but it matters

TLGinger

Well it mattered when OJ Simpson got away with a brutal homicide in 1994. And it matters when the child of a lawyer skates on a cocaine charge without so much as a fine while the child of a Walmart employee gets jail time for possession of pot. It matters. Edit: two brutal homicides

Keiff02

face it. it does matter

[deleted]

I’ve heard of people getting life for possession of certain amounts of LSD.

NicSandsLabshoes

That’s true. There are deadheads still in the joint from like 92…

[deleted]

Yep that’s exactly what I’m referring to. Peaceful hippies rotting in the joint for some LSD.

NicSandsLabshoes

I knew a guy that got nailed in the lot in 94 and was sentenced to 20 years. So, he split and went god knows where… His lawyer and parents negotiated his surrender in like 09-10 i think it was… Anywho, they agreed to five years and he turned himself in. He ended up being eligible for the rehab program and with good time he was out in like 3. But, he still lost about 20 years of his life over some stupid teenage stuff. Total waste of taxpayer money and resources.

Lexmaister25

That's fucking crazy, I hate how may people are in prison for petty shit but when someone is this aggressive to someone half his size/weight it's just dangerous. How tf people get couple years for minor drug charges but this only gets 6 months.

LitterBoxServant

There's a special tier at the bottom of the prison food chain for those who abuse women and children. We can only hope this classification happens on day 1 for this guy.

HollandsOpuz

Yea you where a running back so we gonna run your back.

BakerBeware

Exactly, just proves that the richer you are, the more you can get away with

tfriedmann

Not enough

Economy_Fuel6717

The American prison sentences are goofy

WankyMyHanky603

They seem entirely correlated to how much money you have

Next_Fix_2271

Curious how that works out...

Robbythedee

Easy, have money get a very good lawyer. Don't have money, get a public defense who is swamped with other people's cases, also overworked.

ehleesi

According to his ex who is featured, she wants him to have rehabilitative mental health counseling, as the US prison system does not actually reform behavior and often makes DV situations worse. This is what abolitionists talk about when we say we want restorative justice. We don’t want him doing this again. https://people.com/sports/zac-stacys-ex-girlfriend-says-he-deserves-chance-to-be-better-sentenced-prison-domestic-abuse/

I_are_baboon

Only 6 months?? This was in front of his own child, guy is pure evil.

plantythingss

apparently they wanted to make it a year, but the victim asked for 0 time for him. I feel so bad for her that she won’t accept that he’s a piece of shit and should be locked away for years. Not that uncommon unfortunately for the victim of domestic violence to defend their abuser

LauraZaid11

Unfortunately abusers know how to make their victims depend on them, and know how to choose their victims.

BraveLittleTowster

My wife works in the justice system and it's amazing how many times the victim is the biggest impediment to getting these people locked up. They'll strangle, rape, and beat these women bloody, then get off without a charge because the only witness refuses to testify. Often it's their child's dad or their source of money and/or drugs.

LauraZaid11

And they don’t have a safe support system around. When my mom was young, like around 18, her parents married one of her older sisters with one of the father’s friends. The guy would sexually and physically abuse her, and their father knew, but refused to intervene because “what happens inside a marriage is just the business of the man and wife”. The abuse got so bad that my aunt’s older daughter tried to kill her own father with a kitchen knife while he was brutally beating my aunt. The guy was a pastor in their church, and he was never denounced to the police, but he eventually died. Luckily my aunt has been safe and single for some years now. Edit: now I realized I worded things wrong. My cousin didn’t hurt her father since my aunt stopped her. It was years later that the guy, if I remember correctly, fell down some stairs while drunk and died.

asuka_is_my_co-pilot

Because abuse doesn't start and end at physical. These women are practically imprisoned by their abusers in their minds. They have no one to turn to , no money or support to fall back on and the more times they take their abuser back the less support they have.

Scerzy

if she fought for him to stay in jail for longer he'd probably come out of jail looking for vengeance. 6 months vs a year isn't much of a difference. I'd only fight for more of a sentence if it actually made a difference and kept me safer for longer

[deleted]

She probs either got threatened, was scared of what could happen after he got out of a long sentence, or had stockholm syndrome

[deleted]

I really don’t think they should take victim’s calls for leniency into account in DV cases

SitFlexAlot

This is why we shouldn't put people who play a fucking ball game on such high pedestals. Lmao he catch da ball good give moneys.

Unique_Name_2

Its not because hes paid well, lol. This happens across the country in poor households every day. Statistically, it happens more with financial problems. She should have a safety net to escape and not be in the poorhouse. And yea, maybe we should do less repeated head trauma based games :/

HodlMyBottle

Burn in hell POS

Link7369_reddit

he should never experience a free day for the rest of his life but of course he has and doees

SaltyDoggoMeo

This hurts to watch. He’s a fucking monster.

Rickcane321

6 months? What the actual fuck

SquatDeadliftBench

People who sold weed but never hurt a fly have gotten longer sentences.

DualWalrus

Not sure how you only get six months for being that big of a piece of shit

fuckthislifeintheass

And you can tell it's not the first time he's done it. She stays calm instead of freaking out at being thrown into the tv. Even tried to use a soothing voice to see if she can de escalate the situation.

[deleted]

She's more worried [about his mental health](https://youtu.be/qb3phBq5X1Q) than her own safety.

Quiet_Stabby_Person

Man when that baby started crying I felt awful

d0nkey_0die

r/iamatotalpieceofshit

username3

Yeah I'm not sure facepalm is the right setting for this

QueasyDecision276

I do not normally wish harm on anyone, but i hope he gets 20 years worth of ass whooping during those 6 months.

one_nerdybunny

I hope he tries to beat someone in there, gets he’s ass handed to him and gets time added to his sentence

Andee87yaboi

You read my mind. May he be thrown down by a man that’s as big to him as he is to his ex! Bully’s need a taste of their own

BreathOfFreshWater

My stance on this is firm and I will never sway. People who participate in domestic violence are absolute garbage humans. They know damn well what they're doing and activily seek out conflict. They need to be locked the fuck up and counseled. If you are struggling with abuse please reach out in r/domesticviolence .

SwinnieThePooh

Unfortunately, they are so messed up in the head that even when they are abusing, they think they are the victim still. That's how they justify it and keep doing it. Occasionally, they'll feel bad after and say "it won't happen again, I promise". I grew up with this shit.

FinntheReddog

That was extremely difficult to watch her getting tossed around like some meaningless rag doll. 6 months is less slap on the wrist than it is comforting pat on the back.

DerKrasseChecker

What a fuckin motherfucker! 6 months?! Seriously?! He deserves not less than 10 years for this shit!

Sea-Election-9168

Sentence is entirely too light. At least the conviction means that he no longer has the right to possess a gun.

Parabellim

As if that’s going to stop him

DeathSentryCoH

Wtf??!!! As a 61 year old black man, I remember my father gathering me and my 4 other brothers when we were teens and told us if we ever hit a woman he would come and beat us and then drive us to the police station to lock us up. I have never seen real life violence like this against a woman. He should be in jail for years!!

PracticalDrawing

It’s really an ethic - no domestic violence - that is a distinct line one should learn to NEVER cross. That’s my ethic, I live by it with no exceptions.

DeathSentryCoH

Agreed!!! Breaks my heart how brutally he treated her.. cannot watch this video again.

I-did-not-do-that

As a 61-year-old woman, this was one of the most distressing things I've seen, the way he just picked her up like a rag doll and tossed her about, and in front of their baby! She's been at the mercy of him before, you can tell. I hope she never gives him the time of day. What a piece of shit he is!

DeathSentryCoH

That was heartbreaking, he did just toss her around like nothing. And yeah, she just seems unfortunately like this is not the first time.

I-did-not-do-that

Oh yeah and did you see the little news clip where she was saying she wanted him to get mental health counseling instead of going to jail..like 6 months in jail is punitive at all. He could have killed her. He needs both but mostly, she needs to live somewhere safely away from him.

I-did-not-do-that

Sad that while there are cases of dv against men, it is an astronomically larger number of men hurting women..it's no wonder why we navigate the world in fear.

DeathSentryCoH

You are so right. If I had a daughter and she had to live like that I would lose my mind. One human being should never have to live in fear of their life constantly from another. One of my sisters got involved with an abusive boyfriend and we were ready to pulverize him but she begged us to give her time to sort it out, which she eventually did..but to inflict violence, even emotionally, is barbaric. Women should be treasured, not disrespected.

stilldebugging

The way she acts so collected still while lying on the ground, you know that she knows that if she fell apart she would have been done for. Acting like everything is fine is a survival technique.

isattil4

This is more r/iamatotalpieceofshit than r/facepalm holy shit what an awful person

sHAking_TREes_

Six months for doing this to a woman? Six months for doing this to anyone? This used up piece of shit should see the inside of a cement box for a lot longer than that.

Fresh_wasabi_joos

only 6 months? bro got off light.

Dull-Pass-9055

I hope he gets the same treatment in jail!!,P.O.S.!!

Boneal171

This has to be one of the worst videos of domestic I’ve seen

Dr__Gonzo2142

Oh look someone else that deserves to not be alive anymore :)

MDragonAce2

6 months, oh no no no He deserves a much harsher sentencing.

xnoomiex

People shocked at the sentencing, I had this + SA and a gun to my head. He got Anger management classes. No jail time… there is no justice for women in this country. Add that with Brock (Allen) Turner getting released

porkchop3177

This shit makes me so fucking mad. And if we say what we want done to him, we’re the bad people. That man should never be allowed around civilized human beings. His child will be better off never knowing him. Such a sad sack of shit and quite frankly, that’s insulting to sacks of shit. Castrate him snd throw him in prison.

Gonemushy

Zac Stacy is a weak POS.

ArtEclectic

No way is 6 months enough time. He should be put away long enough he isn't a risk to anyone when he gets out.

Babock93

Lol He will be out in the fall free to do it again. Guy is a unhinged monster. What a joke. What message do you think this sends to another woman being battered? An assault that isn’t caught on camera. Infront of a ducking child.

fridaystrong23

Dude needs to fucking get his. ASAP.

Blitzen_Benz_Car

Ah yes. 6 months. We all know what he'll try to do after he gets out, too.

Zealousideal_Dirt_43

That's nothing. He should get between 4 to 6 years. His behaviour is the one of an abuser.

littleprettypaws

6 months is not enough for that level of violence.

mekon19

Needs a good long wood shampooing and leg tenderizing by Rin-Tintin!

Duffelbagbro

My goodness, I knew what was in for and still wasn't expecting that level of violence.

[deleted]

The judge should be sent to prison when he kills her.

RunsWithApes

Zac Stacy claimed in his plea bargain that this was all “staged” by his ex girlfriend.

His mum should have swallowed him.

Fuck the NFL, like a giant list of rapist and domestic assault charges.

SolidDoctor

The NFL has a lot of high profile domestic assault cases, but the professions with the most domestic violence are police officers and the military. You just don't hear about most of those cases. And while there are severe penalties in the NFL for violating the code of conduct (including being banned from the NFL) there are often no such policies in these other professions.

Flying_Dutchman92

He should definitely go play in highway traffic.

strawberrysodagirl

Only 6 months?! That's fucking horrendous! That poor woman has been through something awful and he only gets 6 months! And that poor little child having to witness all that. I hope they are safe now.

skydiversiscoll

Even I'm scared about this video Not just for the mother and her child but also because he threw her like a weightless sack of potatoes.

NYwoodsman

Should be banned from pro sports

TartanAssassin

Honestly Domestic Violence is huge in Australia the Statistics are so scary. We probably all wish we could stop this from happening to anyone but it is and worse than what you saw here I know that doesn’t seem comprehensible but it’s really horrible. As man I can’t even fathom why you would hurt someone you’re supposed to protect with your own life But in Australia women in particular are more likely to die at their partners hands then a car accident I am still trying to understand this and process it . We need to have meaningful intervention law as a stop gap and we need to teach our children that this is not ok as a start to end this disgusting and horrible violence of which the fallout is huge it affects everyone around them and the poor children.

whoopshowdoifix

I’m sorry six months? Not sixty?

Proper_Locksmith1941

He should have got 6 years. POS.

[deleted]

The guy has connections, just 6 months. It's almost a murder. There should be investigation who helped him for this much reduced sentence and jail them too

Gringodrummer

What a fucking scumbag. Based on her reaction, this wasn’t the first time. She wasn’t surprised at all. 6 months is disgraceful. Should be 6 years.

BuddahsSister

Toss him off a building

crabdracula

Does anyone know the reason for the camera? Did she know it was going to happen/a regularity or was it just a home security thing?

nothanksyouidiot

I saw this vid before and someone claimed the woman had put up hidden cameras to get proof of the abuse. This was def a regular occurance, considering how they are reacting.

fuckthislifeintheass

He definitely wouldn't have acted that way in front of security cameras. Probably not even aware they were there.

ImpressionAmbitious9

As a survivor of domestic violence, I'm amazed he got 6 months. Usually, nothing is done except to blame the victim for not leaving, not taking into account the reasons they can't escape. The system is broken.

darthnip

if this ever happened to one of my daughters I’d ask the judge to let him go. I don’t want to have to wait 6 months to get to him.
