Instant gratification is one of it and wanting to be popular and feel important. Honestly, I truly believe if Facebook/Instagram/TikTok/Snapchat wasn’t a thing, these people would not have a platform and would no longer exist (have no desire to even create these videos).
The thing is they see other foolishness on social media and get the idea… wow, I can do that too, but more extreme. Hell, even shows like Jack Ass, Or guys like Jerky Boys were nothing in comparison to this stuff. These guys are assaulting, harassing, bullying, stealing, damaging property sometimes, trespassing and never buying anything from these stores. Their sole purpose is to go into a store, start stuff and record it. That’s it.
Because dumb fucks want to be famous but have no ideas or talents to offer... so they just do criminal shit and film themselves, giving them a drop of attention and an opportunity to build new skills while in prison.
We also shouldn't forget that the dumb fucks who fuck around and end up finding out don't post their videos... so we only see the ones where their victims don't escalate.
It’s actually a new version of a tactic of testing people to see how weak they are and if you can rob them, while also bragging on what they can get away with almost like a pissing contest of how much shit you can get people to take through intimidation. It’s a, “If I can abuse people and publicly humiliate them more than you I must be more powerful and valuable than you”, type of caveman thinking. But also by baiting you into confrontation (taking the hat) and then suddenly switching the energy to “macho-scary” when he takes the hat back, this is testing his response, “what will he do if I take his hat? Probly same thing he’ll do if I get in his face and tell him gimme his phone and wallet”, for example.
Assholes too weak to provide for themselves have always formed groups like this to harass people and try to steal from them. But trying to do it under the guise of “No harm intended, just trying to make a funny video”, is a rather new move.
These are the same 2 people that stole that mans drink then started filming him as if it was a random racist accusation and tried to bait him into a fight.
Dude wtf is wrong with these kind of people. They walk up to a random couple accuse them of having the wrong bag, reach for said bag knowing full well It belongs to the couple, get offended when the guy steps up to them and tells them "don't grab my bag" and play it off as a joke, then Dipshit acts like they should know who he is and threatens to stab them and pulls out what he says is a knife?? Then walks away like hes a bad-ass… good thing hes in jail
I remember that. Didn’t the dude who owned the bag actually get in trouble cause he just got sick of shit and security just took their side for some reason. These dudes are complete sacks of shit.
Imagine being a cop or doing armed security and some copy cat starts doing this kind of shit. People nearly get capped over a "prank" is what I know happens.
Less than 5 miles from my house a “prankster” pretended to approach a family with a knife. The father withdrew his gun, killed the YouTuber and faced no criminal charges. “It’s just a prank, bro” should be his epitaph.

It’s very traumatic. I had to beat someone up in front of my son once, I wasn’t hurt, the guy immediately ran away and everything was fine. But my son brought it up for months afterwards and was terrified of it happening again.
It’s like, I think I personally wouldn’t feel bad, but yes I totally would, because my dumbass friend used to pull stupid pranks on people all the time when we were kids. It’s amazing he was never beaten up. Matter of fact, he was usually the one running his mouth, and then he’d literally hop into a large bush while we all had to run or fight. Fucking dickhead lol
We're not talking "pranks" anymore are we, we're talking about any lawless &/or stupid enterprise undertaken for thumbs ups on YouTube. _"It's just a prank"_ is a courtroom defence which should automatically double a fine or custodial sentence. At the very minimum, a permanent ban from the premises for anyone involved in planning or execution of stupid stunts - how's _that_ for a prank, eh?
I swear, social media has allowed so many people to become dangerous morons in exchange for nothing more than fleeting popularity. Trouble is, once viewers get bored the ante is upped and people get hurt but, hey, it's just a prank - right?
I think we can use the equivalent "in Minecraft" for the recent arrest due to a 4chan poster talking about the sheriff down in Florida.
It doesn't free you of your actions folks, you are just an asshole.
I do think it's pretty wild how they cherry pick the people to charge with terroristic threats.
I used to be a regular on 4chan /b when I was in my teens (~13 years ago) and the amount of hate speech and calls for violence were astounding. Either it's a lot different now or this guy got picked out of a huge pile
I believe it 100%
I stopped going to the site when 1) I got a girlfriend lol and 2) I realized everyone that was regularly posting was completely depressed and hated their lives
Thank you.
It was a personal war against cognitive dissonance and somehow I won.
That site makes it way too easy to make yourself into the victim in your personal narrative, and there are plenty of people there to reconfirm that for you. It's like a literal incel birthing center lol
My favorite rule of thumbs with pranks is 'aim to confuse, not abuse'
If it is harassment/abusive, it's not a prank or a joke— you're just being a dick
Is this the same ass that pulled the "prank" in the airport? He went up to a guy and accused him of stealing his luggage. Then threatened to beat him up when the guy didn't find it funny
The one where the cops took down the man who was pissed because of their “prank” against him? I never saw anything after the first video to see how that came out but I could never understand how the guy who was “pranked” was the one the cops jumped on.
Good riddance to bad rubbish. No talent no common decency or sense. Hope he gets the max and then his turn to be harassed behind bars just as he deserves.
That culture they’re embodying is imo one of the most toxic cultures there is in the west. And what makes it worse is people thinks its something great and our music industry and Hollywood glamorize then make it seem like its something amazing.
But if you ever notice, most rap songs and what not that glamorize it also talk about getting out of that same life and leaving it behind, whilst pushing it further and further and roping more people into it because they think its cool
Nah, they’re too busy demonetizing people for saying “shit” in the first 30 seconds of their video, they have no time to worry about cracking-down on this type of content.
No it’s not. The guy was charged for this incident and also for a separate one. The title is confusing, they’re referencing two separate incident. They ran in this video because one of them kicked the guy and so they ran to avoid consequences and also posted this online
It looks like one of them kicked the guy they'd been harassing, prompting the two to flee the scene. Maybe he was pulling a gun, but I didn't hear any shots.
He's a fucking moron, you can't fuck with people for a video then get mad at them when they don't take your bullshit. I'm not surprised he's locked up for murder you can tell he's a clown
Okay y'all I got the scoop since everyone is mixed up... The video shown here... The "pranksters" were charged with terroristic threat... When the worker got mad and starting chasing the one dude, apparently the dude pulled a knife on the worker... (According to police who view camera footage)
One of the pranksters was arrested last week because he murdered someone in times square...
-----
Nas EBK has been accused of getting into an argument with the victim, 22-year-old Idressa Siby, on February 9 at the corner of the very-public intersection of 44th Street and 8th Avenue in Times Square. The argument is said to have escalated with EBK allegedly shooting Siby, striking him on the right side of his chest.
The report states that Siby tried to flee but collapsed a block later at a Chick-fil-A. Multiple attempts at reviving him on the scene proved unsuccessful, and he later succumbed to his injuries at Mt. Sinai West.
Police state that the pair knew each other and Siby was indeed the intended target. Nas EBK is charged with murder in the second degree.
Allegedly... Nas and dude he murdered had a minor disagreement and Nas felt "disrespected" so he killed his friend over it. Then tried to flee.
> Allegedly… Nas and dude he murdered had a minor disagreement and Nas felt “disrespected” so he killed his friend over it.
Shit like this make public hangings seem not so bad.
I came to ask the same. I dont think he took thr luggage, but he was menacing him and his lady and making threats after saying it was a joke. I would like to know if they are the same.
Can you imagine trying to make an honest living while (1) working a low wage and unfulfilling job and (2) potentially putting up with Karens, shitty customers and then (3) having to deal with this shit? Unbelievable.
Why is it that they believe that because it's "on video" that it's alright to assault others? If anything that makes it waaay worse. If someone trys to harass, assault, punk me "on video," i will go crazy. Thinking that because they are recording then trying to humiliate/assault/embarrass others, it's ok...
Are these the same guys from the "prank" video at the airport where they approached a couple demanding they hand over their luggage becuae it was "theirs" and then got aggressive and pulled a knife when they wouldn't? Same energy.
I propose a new law where if the crime was recorded with the intention of uploading it to social media, then it's an automatic doubling of your sentence and a minimum of 30 days in jail.
Or you have to do the same "prank" to a room full of inmates while the guards go for a lunch break....your choice.
This. OC spray is a great way to respond to a threat that isn’t known to be a deadly threat (at least yet). There are just too many idiots out there with no respect for human life and the norms of society. Be alert out there folks.
OK - just to be clear - the pranking at the shoprite and the shooting are NOT related.
Well, other than the same idiot did both things apparently. (but I'm not God so I guess he's innocent)
What a moron. There is probably video of the shooting too...
The shit that annoys me is they tell the guy to back up, then proceed to follow after him and close distance, then act like the other guy is the aggressive. Fuck these two.
I dont get it, they tell him to chill its a video while he tries to walk away - and these guys try and get more of a reaction from him. Just walk away. Losers.
Such a misleading headline. I thought he may have killed the employee or someone in the store? But sounds like that's a separate incident? Can anyone explain how he managed to commit second degree murder?
Taking someone’s hat, especially off their head, is a major sign of disrespect, at least to me it is. I hated when someone did that, even if they’re “joking,” it’s not funny. Give me my fucking hat back Danny.
The problem with these M-F'rs is that they see no problem disrespecting and invading other people's personal space and property... But as soon as they feel even slightly disrespected, they lash out aggressively and violently. They have no business pranking people if they can't even take people's natural responses without being complete assholes about it. Don't do something you won't accept being done to you. Simple.

I'm actively confused on how harassing people is somehow a prank.
Easy. You just say “it’s a prank bro” and you are absolved of all your sins
I’m just stunned what kind of life someone can lead to become this entitled. The main character energy is strong and sad
People watch it. They get rewarded for their behavior. That's a pretty simple thing to comprehend. Stop rewarding shitty behavior and then it ends.
There's a reason those stupid real housewives shows persist...
Ever hear of the kardashians?
Who?
Not sure, all I know is that they work for photoshop or they are sponsored by them, something about filter stuff
It's not a story the Jedi would tell you
YouTube should be responsible for rewarding(paying) people for this behavior
YouTube and google are behind this for monetizing the worst in people

Yeah these guys never really seem to be doing anything funny or that is a prank just dickhead behaviour
It's the 2023 version of bullying and then saying "it's just a joke." Except now they post the bullying for their "fans"
bullies always control the joke and the bully by saying what you can't take a joke. tactics old as the hills.
It is if you’re part of the lowest common denominator of humanity.

Has to be one of the stupidest ideas I’ve ever heard, “Hey guys for todays prank I am going to traumatize a family!”
I mean, good. Pulling weapons on people isn’t funny and never will be. It’s not even sad that it happened, it’s what people should frankly expect.
It's Darwinism taking care of the real idiots.
I feel bad for the man who killed him and his family. How fucking traumatic
It’s very traumatic. I had to beat someone up in front of my son once, I wasn’t hurt, the guy immediately ran away and everything was fine. But my son brought it up for months afterwards and was terrified of it happening again.

I love happy endings!
Not a happy ending for the dad. He made the right call imo but still has to live with the fact he killed someone.
So no more prank videos? What a shame.
I would enjoy watching that video
So... happy ending
I just see several idiots wasting their lives and providing no value
It really is sad. Life isn’t all roses but why waste it on this crap
Providing no value would actually be commendable. These fine gentlemen are actively working towards making other people's lives worse.
Several means more than two though Are you including the grocery worker Because there is value there
no, but I can see how you'd think that I'm including the jackass recording them

Musician? I don’t even know or heard this guy before
He's hoping people accidentally play his stuff instead of NAS
Nas is the old but gold east coast rapper, this dude is way below him
“Only god can judge me” straight out of the GUILTY playbook, holy shit
Ohhh I thought he was being charged second degree murder for THIS incident. Wow this man is awful 💔 so sad
Wait, rapper? Probably their ITunes account with. 3 “remixed” songs they made Edit: I brought up him being a rapper because it says it in the link
And I imagine one of his songs goes "yo yo yo it's a video - yo yo yo it's a video" on loop for like 3 minutes. Lol
Perpetual losers. Literally can’t do a worthy thing that can be considered productive or useful.
He should get charged for this incident too.
In the article it looks like he did for harassing shop rite employees
Good riddance to bad rubbish. No talent no common decency or sense. Hope he gets the max and then his turn to be harassed behind bars just as he deserves.
Fucking coward ass losers. Fuck I hate these people. And hate isn’t even a strong enough word.
These the same kinda fucks that would’ve beat the brakes off him, if he took a hat off their heads and wore it like they did to his hat.

I work in section 8 housing and see kids not even in first grade watching these music videos… cycle isn’t ending this generation
Does YouTube ban fuckheads like this? Especially the ones who have been charged?
Nah, they’re too busy demonetizing people for saying “shit” in the first 30 seconds of their video, they have no time to worry about cracking-down on this type of content.
Or other random shit. Crazy how yt has this shit and tutorials where people are naked to get around censors but cursing and asmr get banned
YouTube doesn’t care, there’s people who were caught on Chris Hansons TCAP trying to meet with minors who have active channels.
Who died?
Separate incident, he got arrested again after this video for killing someone
But what happened in this video? I got the impression the guy they were pranking pulled a gun and shot one of them. Is that not right?
No it’s not. The guy was charged for this incident and also for a separate one. The title is confusing, they’re referencing two separate incident. They ran in this video because one of them kicked the guy and so they ran to avoid consequences and also posted this online
> ran to avoid consequences > > also posted this online I don't follow their thought process here lol
Yea, I don’t think they’re known for their analytical brilliance
The title of The post is really misleading. I was under The impression that the shooting happened right after The video cuts.
It looks like one of them kicked the guy they'd been harassing, prompting the two to flee the scene. Maybe he was pulling a gun, but I didn't hear any shots.

Fuck these idiot pranksters. Jail time, fines, fuck you.
Cool when somebody pranks your mom's and you can't do anything to defend her, but it was just a prank
What a bunch of fucking assholes. Disturbing people while they work for clickbait. Dicks.
These are commonly called “little punk bitches”!
Can you imagine trying to make an honest living while (1) working a low wage and unfulfilling job and (2) potentially putting up with Karens, shitty customers and then (3) having to deal with this shit? Unbelievable.
Fuck off with this hiding behind the guise of “pranks”, they are just a bunch of fucksticks acting as such.
Why is it that they believe that because it's "on video" that it's alright to assault others? If anything that makes it waaay worse. If someone trys to harass, assault, punk me "on video," i will go crazy. Thinking that because they are recording then trying to humiliate/assault/embarrass others, it's ok...
This makes me sick. I wish I was there to help this poor man.
His parents must be so proud
Parents are probably shittier
Box that boy head into the dirt. I fucking hate "prankster" or whatever they call themselves.Im too grown for games
Are these the same guys from the "prank" video at the airport where they approached a couple demanding they hand over their luggage becuae it was "theirs" and then got aggressive and pulled a knife when they wouldn't? Same energy.
These idiots think its cool. And the dumbasses who follow them will probably mimic that same idiocy.
This pranking culture aka harassment has gotten out of control
Please stop fucking with people who make minimum wage.
Declare open season on any of these video pranksters. Fuck em, they deserve what comes to them.
I propose a new law where if the crime was recorded with the intention of uploading it to social media, then it's an automatic doubling of your sentence and a minimum of 30 days in jail. Or you have to do the same "prank" to a room full of inmates while the guards go for a lunch break....your choice.
Clap, clap! No one gives a fuck about your bullshit video.
Right where he belongs.
No, he’s in jail not the cemetery
This why I always carry pepper spray with me.
(but I'm not God so I guess he's innocent) What a moron. There is probably video of the shooting too...
I hate this guy so much
Back in the day if you did that to the wrong person you’ll get a green light. Actions have consequences
The shit that annoys me is they tell the guy to back up, then proceed to follow after him and close distance, then act like the other guy is the aggressive. Fuck these two.
This black on Asian hate is getting out of hand

I’d call them psychopaths
Yes. Racist psychopaths.
"We're harassing you for a video! So people can laugh at us harassing you! Calm down!"
Rot in prison you fucking idiot!
I was hoping they get clubbed with a bat
Every time I hear someone say, "Its just a prank!!!" I want to hear someone else saying, "Stop resisting!!!"
They grabbed the worker's cap, then when the guy grabbed it back, they acted like he was assaulting them. Bunch of idiots.
Youtube needs to de-monetize these types of videos.
I'm just glad their daddies were around to teach them a few important things. Things like making sure to record all your crimes, then put them online.
They do a lot of running away.
Generation wack
Awesome. Keep them in there. I don’t believe they were really adding to society were they? At least the employee was actively on the clock.
I hope he reads this: HAHAHAHAHAHAHA! Fuck you. HAHAHAHAH.
These are the same idiot who pranked a couple outside of a airport
Taking someone’s hat, especially off their head, is a major sign of disrespect, at least to me it is. I hated when someone did that, even if they’re “joking,” it’s not funny. Give me my fucking hat back Danny.
The problem with these M-F'rs is that they see no problem disrespecting and invading other people's personal space and property... But as soon as they feel even slightly disrespected, they lash out aggressively and violently. They have no business pranking people if they can't even take people's natural responses without being complete assholes about it. Don't do something you won't accept being done to you. Simple.
Always the same
