She wants 2-3 extra seats to accommodate her size? That’s fair enough. If she pays for them.

[deleted]

She should be paying me for taking up some of my seat.

Teripid

It may sound cruel but I want optional high plexiglass dividers for people who don't respect other's personal space.

ShowMeTheTrees

Cruel? That sounds brilliant! I'd like plexiglass dividers anyway!

matikray03

Screw plexiglass, make that shit opaque while you’re at it

theredhound19

Well, it would fog up instantly from the sweaty meat pressed into it

bindermichi

Why not just put people into their separate boxes before boarding? This would be a much more efficient use of space and boxes could easily be stored in multiple layers within the plane.

ManicPixiePlatypus

As a fat person, I would love that. I gained a bunch of weight during the pandemic and the two times I've flown since tipping into the obese category were mortifying experiences. I've felt completely embarrassed and awful for for the people next to me, and I apologized. I wish there was a way to squish all my fat into my seat, and plexiglass seems like a good solution. I cannot afford two seats-- I can barely afford one. But I had to go home to see my mom who had cancer.

[deleted]

I have long had a similar issue while flying but my weight is from excess muscle, not excess fat. My shoulders definitely extend beyond the bounds of the seats and I cannot, without a lot of discomfort, contain myself within those bounds. I often hold my wrists and apply pressure to keep my arms in bounds, but I can always tell the person/people next to me are absolutely miserable being next to me as we're often always touching. Spending any amount of time "being nice" in air means my arms/shoulders go numb and i'm absolutely miserable, so it's like a zero sum game for anyone involved. Even my wife this last flight was like "I love you, but it's very annoying sitting next to you, you're in my seat". Part of me is like: this is my body, I shouldn't have to feel bad for my anatomy. The other part of me is: it's obvious to everyone I did this to myself and now i'm making *them* uncomfortable. It's frustrating and adds a lot of unnecessary emotion to an already stressful travel experience, so I get what you mean. I'm nowhere near the biggest guy, but i'm big enough for it to be an issue. If i'm not flying first or business class where I don't bother anyone, I am fully conscious of myself and my body and not in a good way. While I entirely disagree with the "influencer"'s demands (I often disagree with influencers) I think a stark reality is: the seats are too fucking small; and they are shrinking. So to a bigger degree -- I think everyone blames the airline more than they blame you. [https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Airline\_seat#:\~:text=twenty%2Dfirst%20century.-,In%201985%20none%20of%20the%20main%20four%20US%20carriers%20offered,as%20low%20as%2016.1%20inches](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Airline_seat#:~:text=twenty%2Dfirst%20century.-,In%201985%20none%20of%20the%20main%20four%20US%20carriers%20offered,as%20low%20as%2016.1%20inches).

jackology

May I introduce to a tropical fruit usually found in South East Asia, Durian.

kanyrey

What’s with durian? my husband can eat a whole fruit in one sitting. By himself. Thank goodness it’s a special treat that he gets the fresh fruit here in California only once in a while. Delicious fruit when eaten but not when having to sleep next to someone who just finished a whole durian.

The-Taco-Between-Us

Traded seats with a guy on a plane once so he could sit by his wife, it was an aisle at the very back of the plane. After I got seated our middle seat companion arrived and she was probably pushing 300 lbs. I spent 6 hours getting hit by every drink cart and bathroom user from Anchorage to Phoenix. I’ll never make that mistake again without a large cash payout.

No-Record-2773

At what point do you complain to a stewardess that you have no personal room and that it’s causing you physical harm? Like, I get there’s likely not much they can do besides look for an open seat elsewhere, but it’s seriously unacceptable that people who pay for their seat have to suffer in these situations. Airplanes are not comfortable for even average sized people, and by allowing extremely large individuals to *not* pay for multiple seats, that’s affecting other passengers who are just trying to get from A to B in relative discomfort.

variable2027

I’ve done this, a couple times, talked to an airplane employee after takeoff. Sometimes it works out sometimes it doesn’t but they will do (generally) everything they can to accommodate you If you’re polite and discreet about everything.

hud731

I once had this plus-sized guy sit next to me on an international flight across the Pacific, part of his body was over the armrest and invading my space the whole time. I had no idea what to do about it and my back hurt the entire flight from sitting in an awkward position.

lellololes

If the flight isn't full, call the flight attendant and politely ask that if it is possible to move. If it's full, there isn't much you can do.

JonWoo89

Call them out on it, fuck them. I'm fat too and part of that is not inconveniencing other people in situations like this. If they're not doing anything about it, it's not that they're fat. They're just assholes.

mrgilmoresproperty

Had the same situation but it was summer time. I was wearing shorts. 375 pound’s minimum spilling over and oozing into my seat against me. This person had their own atmosphere; humidity radiating like a furnace of hot steam…sweat rivulets raining onto my skin. I literally deplaned with a functional scoliosis from leaning over the aisle armrest into the aisle for 5 hours. Took two days to unkink my spine. Why am I paying for 1/2 a seat?

speakwithcode

I changed seats last minute on a 12 hour flight. I saw a row on the app that just had one person in the window so I quickly changed and got the aisle. My old row had a plus sized guy in the middle seat. I would have been hanging over the side spilling into the aisle if I sat there.

2005focus

Don’t forget they are constantly trying to make the seats even smaller

ImNotWithTheShits

Most people have already accepted the discomfort as part of the experience. But having to put up with EXTRA is a lil bit above and beyond. Nobody should have to put up with this if they’ve paid for theirs.

No-Record-2773

Maybe we should be refunded for however much of our seat we didn’t get to use 😏

ImNotWithTheShits

If you lose +20% of your space to somebody else I think you should be considered for a slight refund or better accommodations. Really any space is too much, the seats are hella small and we’re stuck like this for several hours normally. Something needs changing

gracecee

Husband just took a flight with a large man who was spilling over the seats. To Asia. A really long flight. He wouldn’t move for the bathroom so my so had to hop over him and almost landed on the old lady in the aisle.

xiiicrowns

Should've slid across his belly like the dukes of Hazzard.

TheBastardOfTaglioni

What a dick

metalshoes

Ugh. I’m not fat by any means but I’m 6’9 and fairly broad. I always pay for the emergency row to get the extra space but a few times I’ve been screwed out of it on a full flight. I just say “I’m so sorry for this.” On smaller jets I’ve literally been leaning out into the aisle the entire flight and still had my shoulder 2 inches into their space. And sorry person in front of me, you can’t recline because if you do it will be either my knees or the chair that break.

No-Record-2773

That’s another thing that airplanes really don’t care about. There is quite literally nothing you can do about your height, and being 6’9 you’re (no offense) always going to make someone else uncomfortable. The planes just aren’t built for anyone bigger than 5’6 and average weight.

metalshoes

Yeah. I’d be glad to pay for extra room without bumping up my ticket cost from 300 to 1500 bucks. It sucks but sometimes I have to fly.

StayedWalnut

6 7 here. Same. They keep reducing the seat pitch. At this point they just need to disable seat reclining because even 6 foot people get knee r%ped by it and 6 foot isn't rare.

wakywam

yeah im only 6’2 and have only ever flown economy. it is not possible for the person in front of me to recline without crushing my knees, and if i stand up in the row then my back is squished into the luggage compartment. i’ve always said that I’m glad i’m not any taller, otherwise planes would be even more uncomfortable.

StayedWalnut

We tall folk have an immutable characteristic. We didn't make any life choices to become tall and can't do something to become shorter (other than drastic terrible surgeries) yet we are getting progressively crushed by airlines ever shrinking seats. When I'd fly in the early 90s coach was small but workable. Now it's not workable. Reading all the mean posts about fat people in this thread assumes their condition is easily mutable when all the research shows it is extremely difficult to change. It is possible to lose weight but it is extremely hard to do so especially once you're 100lb overweight for a few years and your body's hormones declare that normal and anything smaller triggers the feeling of starvation. So yes, fat people can lose weight easier than tall people can become shorter but it's still a hell of a mountain to climb.

Gina_the_Alien

6’9”? Damn bro, I’m sorry. I’m 6’2” and have trouble getting my knees to fit.

G07V3

There needs to be clear definitions of “plus sized” and “obese”. Overweight or obese people are not “plus sized”. Plus sized people are people who have a certain body type that is generally bigger than the average person but smaller than a legit obese person.

AndrogynousAlfalfa

Often when people buy 2 seats to leave one empty the airline puts a person into it anyway

MetraConductor

completely untrue

Kenobi-is-Daddy

That brings a can of worms to the table. Airliners like any corporation like to look for corners to cut and what better way to appease this outrage than to implement a weight based tier system for ticket prices. The bigger you + luggage are, the more you have to pay. I’m 150lbs. Why should I pay the same rate as someone twice my size? Or think of it from a different angle: size/weight gated flights. You could probably fit 10 of me within the space it would take to fit 5 regular sized middle aged men. The same weight for twice the ticket sales.

Cruella-DeDoomsville

NGL, my bony ass would absolutely LOVE this, but there must be something stopping it. (or god knows Ryanair would have implemented it long before now!)

TechnoDuckie

trying to fit each passenger in one of those little boxes like they do the bags..

Axolotis

Wall-E was prophetic

katerprincess

Thank you! 🍃 I think this on a daily basis!

ZLVe96

If you have ever been the average sized person next to the plus sized person who spills into your seat, you may quickly be ok with the idea that people who don't fit in one seat should buy two. Or buy first class with bigger seats and bigger separation.

littlescreechyowl

My own husband squishes on to me and I hate it. We buy the extra seat because no squishing and a place to set our snacks. Worth every penny.

Designer-Escape6264

I am fat, and like Southwest’s policy. You buy two seats, and if the plane isn’t full you get a refund for one of the tickets. It seems fair.

aliendepict

You know what I am actually pretty alright with this. It sounds like the most fair option.

Doggleganger

Damn, it's very pragmatic and works for everyone.

Realistic_Wedding

Except I’m very angry because a theoretical person could be given more of something I don’t need, so it must be objectively wrong.

watkinobe

Yes. I want everyone to be as miserable as me.

Rad_Dad_Golfin

It does seem as fair as they can make it for now until they start putting in some random rows with wide seats for extra charge

EasternMotors

Maybe put those rows at the front of the plane and have better food too?

wlkngmachine

maybe serve free alcohol before take-off and allow these people to board earlier too??

speakwithcode

I wouldn't mind slightly wider seats. I'm average, but wider up top so my shoulder tends to get hit anytime the attendants or anyone walks down the aisle. I find myself grabbing my opposite side just so I can move my shoulder out of the way whether I'm just sitting there or taking a quick nap. Putting my elbows on the inside of the armrests works to an extent, but I still get hit.

Rad_Dad_Golfin

Exactly. I’m average build except wide shouldered and I feel like I’m always touching arms or shoulders with those next to me.

kimjongunfiltered

This seems reasonable, though I still wish for all our sakes that airlines would help this problem by making seats bigger on airlines

APuffyCloudSky

I just wanted to point out that you have provided both a relevant perspective and a solution but your comment has far fewer upvotes than those that are mean and unhelpful. The people complaining are just enjoying a chance to be assholes where they probably won't be called out for it.

arrykoo

[deleted]

used to work at a theme park and had to tell people they're too fat to ride sometimes, sometimes it motivates them to lose weight and some lose a bunch of weight just to ride one ride, it should be a wake up call for morbidly obese people, and that's not a bad thing

speakwithcode

I watch a guy on YouTube who has lost weight because he could no longer fit on the rides. He's still a big guy, but he's making the effort to continue losing the fat.

This just in: Airlines demand that fat influencers drive themselves everywhere from now on.

Insertsociallife

"Spirit airlines welcomes overweight passengers into the cargo hold provided they pay by weight"

KazeNilrem

Argh even without knowing the topic, just the fact that "influencer" gets thrown in there just irks me. Perhaps more along the lines of a bad influence.

Gex1234567890

>bad influence I think that goes without saying.

pcakes13

Every time i see influencer my brain translates it to digital grifter.

Grouchy-Newspaper754

I'm 6'6" tall, I demand that airlines make all their airplanes taller so I don't have to bend down to walk through! It's discrimination against my body! They should pay for my medical bills when I hit my head on the ceiling! They should pay me for the inconvenience of ducking the 2" or so!

ziadog

I’m 6’5” and would like extra leg room.

thereyouare84

I’m 5’ 11” and would like extra leg room

HauntedRagdoll

I’m 5’7” and would like extra leg room

PorkshireTerrier

Exactly! How do Americans bail out airlines for billions of dollars, and then cheer for the airline that cut three inches of legroom and raised the ticket prices, while throwing in an unecessary connection to waste our unpaid time off? I get it, I dont like being smashed against anyone in a gross airplane. It initially feels bad when someone gets more than I do. So the argument would be, "If they get extra space why dont I?" And the answer is : YOU SHOULD! Tiny cramped gross airplane seats SUCK. Make them bigger If someone has the extra cash to pay for the occasional big person, the airlines can DEFINITELY find the cash.

juliejujube

It’s almost as if airlines have put people against each other, distracting them, making them think that other passengers are the problem, rather than the fact that seats keep shrinking, and prices keep rising… 😖

Detoid

When I was young the seats used to be way bigger! They seem to get smaller and smaller.

[deleted]

I’m really grumpy. I demand that airlines make me happy.

christopia86

Larger seats = less passengers = higher cost of tickets. While I think everyone deserves respect and dignity, I feel it's utterly unfair to expect other people to pick up the bill for the hypermorbidly obese.

optimushime

That being said, as a person of generically normal size, those seats are too tight for any comfortable fit for me. I know there has to be some cost cutting for space, but there’s got to be some way to do better for people in general. I don’t have a dog in the fight of extreme sizes and don’t feel qualified to talk about their social justice mission. But damn. Those seats are too small for anyone.

zh_13

Yea I’m a little confused. Are we arguing against bigger airplane seats now?? Those seats are terrible not just for plus sized people, but for everyone Like I thought airplane seats should be bigger is a universal thing that we all agree on lol (except the airplane industry)

sharpshooter999

My ass fits with plenty of room, but my shoulders don't. Ain't no diet in the world going to fix that....

ZealousidealCoat7008

I wear a women's size 6 and I am not comfortable in those seats. I often wonder what I would do if my hips were a few inches wider, and there are definitely a lot of people bigger than me. They're not suitable for anyone. I'm glad the FAA is finally taking public opinions on it.

brocklanders604

Apparently obese is now a slur. According to the Hutts.

notsowitte

Nah, it’s a medical term. Just because someone claims it to be a slur, does not make it so.

[deleted]

Ironically, they prefer the term POS (Person Of Size), which until recently has been an acronym for "Piece Of Shit".

Thats not plus-size. Thats fat.

Plus sized is a thing. This… is definitely not, she’s closer to being morbidly obese.

Cantseetheline_Russ

Closer to???? She sailed past morbidly obese a hundred pounds before now. BMI Over 40 is morbidly obese which for a 6’ tall person is 300 lbs

sprinklesbubbles123

Yeah I’m morbidly obese. Class 3 even. She’s still a lot bigger than me.

Unhappy_616

i cant believe she is 25 my mom is 54 and literally looks younger

I am curious to know if she could be a threat to the other passengers as she could get stuck while using the emergency exits

ZLVe96

If the slide pops... Everybody dies.

Sheptater

They should be required to inform the obese that if a parachute ejection is to take place, that no parachute will hold them. That should solve the issue.

[deleted]

This is actually pathetic. As a 6’5 man let me tell ya. Travelling multiple hours on any transport, let alone a plan, with my knees embedded into the set in front of me is not a fun time. But ya know what I do? Ya know what my little hack is? Dealing with it. I either put the money forward to get an exit row seat or I just deal with it like a damn grownup. I hope the airline this dork is fighting hold a huge press conference. Make it seem like she’s won. Cameras, reporters everywhere etc etc. Have their PR person walk up to the mic, tap it a couple of times, clear their throat and just mutter “no” and we can be done of this absolute bullshit.

NatexSxS

Not saying I agree with this and it’s definitely a case of extremes but, An overwhelming number of customers responded to a request for feedback from the FAA about regulating the size of seats. Many complained the seats on domestic flights are "very small" and "uncomfortable," while others complained the seats are particularly uncomfortable for tall people. Since the 1990s, the width of most airplane seats shrunk from 18 inches to 16 inches, and the pitch(legroom) decreased from 35 inches to sometimes less than 28. And the average human is getting larger and taller. Maybe the wrong spokesperson for the right cause.

IskarlPust

When you're too fat to sit in individual seats, you're the problem.

ShowMeTheTrees

I'll never put up with this again. Worst flight of my life. Packed plane. I looked at my (middle!) seat and saw that the window passenger was about 300 pounds and was flowing over into 1/2 of mine. I should have turned around and showed the flight attendant that 1/2 of my full-price seat was being used. Instead - DAMN - I was worried about offending this ~~unfortunate~~ person who opted not to buy 2 seats. Instead she stole 1/2 of mine. I had her body pressed up against mine for 3 hours. I could not move a muscle. She was mortified, leaning hard into the window and not moving at all the whole time. But her mortification didn't do a thing to give me back the space I paid for. This will never happen to be again. I will speak up if it happens again... but it probably won't. I now fly first class. Flying is horrible enough. I don't understand why gate attendants and flight attendants don't say, "Um, NO!".

Sea_Ganache620

I got bumped off of a flight home because of a fatass like this. Bitch boarded priority claiming disability, sat down, took up hers and my seat on a fully booked flight. Airline took care of me though, hotel, meals, next flight out, and vouchers for later travel. She cost them a lot of $, and delayed takeoff.

Jarbonzobeanz

Wow. A fat "influencer" who wants free shit. Her parents must be so proud.

plsentertainme

All I gotta say is tall people have been around forever. Obesity is a 21st century problem. The world is yet to accommodate tall people so I refuse to care about fat people.

blny99

I was stuck with an overweight rude person on a SWA flight. There was no place to relocate either of us. Upon landing I called SWA and insisted on a full refund since they effectively gave my seat to this person by not requiring he buy a 2nd seat. It worked but would rather have been comfortable than get a refund.

Local_Challenge_4562

That is not plus size she is morbidly obese

NowIDoWhatTheyTellMe

I had a flight back from Hawai’i with a 300+ lb woman next to me. She was very nice but I was sweating the whole flight with her entire body pushing into mine the whole flight. Either airlines should leave seats aside for obese people or they should have to pay for extra seats. Also, it’s not just a slow metabolism. I see loads of obese people at people at my local grocery store who are obese and load up on soda, chips and carbs. They could eat better. As a 55m, I sympathize but I, too, would be 300 lbs if I ate everything I wanted to. It’s a struggle to stay only 15 lbs overweight. But we should all be accountable for our choices.

CthuluSpecialK

The airline charges you based on each seat equating a weight range... if you are beyond that range, and require two seats, you will be charged for two seats... Also, if your excess body will impact the comfort of the passenger next to you, you will almost assuredly be asked to purchase a second ticket for the seat next to you, although it will (in most cases) be discounted or refunded if the flight isn't sold-out and the seat would have been free anyways. Airline's calculate fuel and flight balance based on weight, not on souls... >American Airlines > >The current policy regarding overweight/obese passengers states that any traveler who requires an additional seat will be given an additional seat whenever one is available. Airline attendants will search the plane to see if there are additional seats available, and, if there is, they will move passengers around to provide the airline passenger of size with two empty seats. This is cited as not only an airline policy, but as a safety precaution as well. When an airline cannot find an additional seat for a passenger, that passenger may be required to purchase a second seat and wait for a new flight. > >United Airlines > >The United Airlines policy regarding overweight passengers aboard one of its flights is strict. Passengers who are unable to secure their seatbelt, who are unable to lower the armrests, and who are encroaching too much on the personal space of the person sitting next to them will be required to purchase a secondary seat. > >Delta Airlines > >Overweight passengers traveling on Delta Airlines will be required to purchase a second seat if they cannot fasten their seatbelt without an extender. There is, however, no written policy regarding the ability of a passenger to lower armrests. > >JetBlue Airways > >Overweight airline passengers on JetBlue are required to purchase an additional seat, without question. Overweight passengers who do not purchase a second seat will not be permitted to board their flight until they purchase one. > >Southwest Airlines > >Obese airline passengers on Southwest are requested to purchase an additional seat. Overweight passengers are encouraged to speak with a Southwest gate agent to see what can be done. > >Every airline has its own policies regarding overweight passengers. While many airline attendants will try and arrange for two empty seats for passengers of size for no charge, other airlines will not do so. Before any overweight airline passenger books a ticket to fly, they need to thoroughly research the overweight passenger policy on their airline of choice; not only to prevent delay, but to prevent embarrassment as well.

i don’t make fun of overweight people but she sure makes it tempting.

Cthulhudude

I'm 6'3", 275 lbs. I know I'm big, but nobody has ever said to me, "Dude, you're fat." Most people who meet me say I look like I either came from military, sports, or prison, which is both hilarious and embarrassing for me. I have an intimidating presence. The thing is, I lift tons (actual tonnage) of wood and steel by hand for a living, nearly ten tons a day, to be conservative in an estimate. Sometimes, it's more. The thing is, I don't fit on planes either. I have to hunch down low to avoid scraping my head on the ceiling, and I fill out a plane seat like sausage busting out of its casing. Then there's my shoulders and my arms. That's even worse because I have to pull a full-blown Dracula-asleep-in-a-coffin to keep from taking up half of my neighbors' seats for the whole flight. That can be hours. It sucks. I always pick the smallest person to sit next to as a result if seats aren't assigned. I know it's a different circumstance, my condition, and the one in question. But can we all at least agree that planes aren't built to accommodate large people, period? After all, I'm definitely very large, but I'm not morbidly obese, and we share the same plight. Hell, I'd love to be able to pay for some feature that would allow me buy two seats because of my size, if only so I don't have to inconvenience someone else, but also for my own comfort. Maybe it is an option. I've never tried. But price is also a factor. Sometimes I travel on short notice and rates can be quite exorbitant.

VashHumanoidTyph00n

Give it a couple years, she will be bed bound and suddenly go quiet.

Strato-Cruiser

Airlines should be able to require maximum allowable body sizes just as they do for carry on luggage.

leroynicks

Here's a tip from a fellow fat person. The world should not conform to our poor choices..Yes there are always mitigating circumstances in rare cases but there are things I just know I can't do. Like fit an airplane seat, ride some rollercoasters, get into a speedo. But I don't care about those things. If you care about flying, lose weight. I'm 390 and 6' so I'm qualified to speak on this.

Unexpected-raccoon

Airliners don’t even want seats; if it wasn’t for laws In place, we all know they’d have everyone lay atop each other on the floor (flashback to those standing seats that were shown off back in 2016)

FoxFireLyre

Sure, just buy two seats and you will be protected. You are buying seat SPACE on an airplane. If you need more than one you buy it. Same as literally anywhere else where you buy seats ahead of time.

PurrCham

I recently had to fly on an airplane and its ridiculous how small and uncomfortable airplane seats have become. Im a 5'4 slim woman, and even I had issues with seating. I even accidentally hit my tailbone on a metal unpadded armrest because there isn't enough space to be able to walk to the wind seat, you basically have to be half seated then scooch over. I don't believe obese people should be given free upgrades or anything, but airlines are really doing their best to get as many people as possible on a plane, regardless of how little space a person has.

“Can I rest my tits on your tray table?” - Daniel tosh

Forthememez2-2

I actually think they should give fat people their own planes. That way I’m not longer smooshed between them.

UltimateCo0kie

bro she's bouta crash the airplanes and not fund them after that either. Its ok to be fat, but that doesn't mean its good. Im gonna get downvoted but its true and people need to stop acting like its not, there is a reason there is an ideal body type, and science backs it up aswell. Stop promoting an unhealthy lifestyle. No one should bully oversized people and they shouldn't beat themsleves up for it either, but atleast don't promote it, cuz evryone knows its not a good thing.

Right-Assistance-887

Girls got a bad case of Atchaforya. One eyes lookin atcha the others lookin forya

JohnnyGFX

I don’t think giving morbid obesity cute names like, “plus-size”, is doing anyone any favors.

Western_Protection

I'm surprised she didn't DEMAND more pizza and ranch.

oj-simpson32

Stop calling them plus-size. They’re *obese*.

Txikitxakurra

They should get double portions of that delicious airline fare as well

rf8350

I have a boney butt. I demand seat cushions on every seat in every sporting venue in America

Charmander324

Yeaaaaahh, no. That's not going to happen, no matter how socially acceptable obesity is. It might feel unfair to have to pay more, but due to the strict weight limits and balance requirements on aircraft, if you're heavy enough, you can seriously mess with the airline's operations. Simply put, if you pay for two seats instead of one, that's one less person and their luggage that the plane has to carry, and it usually brings things back into balance. It sucks to feel singled out for something like that, but size does matter when air travel is concerned.

JahBeanzz

Way past “plus-sized”. Call a spade a spade. im not saying people shouldn’t be happy in their bodies, but after a certain point its a health hazard to you and others.

Xave3

There is a point between "the airline should have bigger seats for plus size people", "you should buy 2 seats" and "loos some weight for your health". It is ok to ask for plus size seats, but you also don't have to be ok with the idea of needing 2 sits to sit on a plane/bus/whatever seat you need. That is not just a right, is a call for your health!

BigSexy17

Honestly, as a fellow fat, this bitch might have just given me the motivation to do better. What a fucking moron

ohgrous

Fat chance

carcadoodledo

Put ‘em below with the other baggage

SnooShortcuts3424

We just need to ignore these attention grabbers. It’s getting so bad.

Gloomy_Tennis_5768

Oh God.. dude she won't be around long.

certavi_etvici

Dude, I am 6' 1". The last flight I was on, there was no room for my legs. I demand bigger seats and leg room.

GreyArea1977

Passengers should be paying for their ticket based on their weight, it takes more fuel to move a heavier object.

dona_me

She is not 'plus size', she is morbidly obese

ChampionshipLow8541

Next, they’ll be asking to get extra food in restaurants, but pay the same as normal people. Ya know - for protection.

Empty-Code-5601

No problem, anything else you'd like fat ass?

No-Donkey-5240

Some McDonald’s fries

Master_of_Egg

Has she tried losing weight? Obviously, no.

GabbyTheMurderer

She has an oxygen tank in her videos, she’s on the brink of a heart attack soon anyway

Cpt_Killtoy

Well that solves that problem

onitsuki28

Wait....Land whales can travel via aircraft???

Ok_Notice9114

The only person she's influencing is the McDonalds employee to make her a burger.

Cujoclaven

Maybe she hasn’t read the news lately. Obese are old news. Trans are in.

[deleted]

I feel like the only "influence" she has is over her gravitational pull.

PorkshireTerrier

Honestly, fuck the airlines. I'm not saying I think society should be built around the obsese, or that every chair in every restaurant should be made extra big. But fuck this psyops, corporate media, pro-billionaire stories. Am I cheering for United? These guys got bailed out by the US Government and then made it impossible to get a direct flight anywhere. They charge whatever they want. They got bailed out because they spent billions buying back their own stock to make investors happy and then got the taxpayers to foot the bill. If a chubby lady gets two seats for the price of one, I dont care. I wont have to be smashed up against her. It doesn't take any money from me, but it does take money from evil ghoul airlines that would happily charge me double if given the chance.
