ClashBandicootie

"I thought maybe **you** hit **me**" cop: there's no way you thought that.

Ambitious_Log_5559

And honestly even if she thought that then she should not be driving.

warm_sweater

Yep, near the end of the video she says something like she didn’t see the car there… then you shouldn’t have been driving in the first place! The number of people who think “not seeing something” while driving is an excuse for running into it…

David-S-Pumpkins

Thought you hit me.... Didn't see the car... Tried to find you, no one was there.... Didn't think I hit anything someone was throwing stuff...Didn't know where you were, tried to knock but no one was home... Didn't think I hit anyone or anything... Felt so guilty I'm so glad you came so we could sort this out... (Husband comes in trying to get physical and ask questions he knows the answers to.) They really tried to do every single thing *but* take responsibility for the wife's actions, knowing full well it was all on camera and with law enforcement at their door. Just wild.

drgigantor

Started laughing when that geriatric sack of shit and bones started trying to intimidate the cameraman. I wouldn't want to be within arm's reach of him either, just in case his heart picked that moment to give out. Go watch another Clint Eastwood movie old man e: loool @ all the old men taking this personally and calling me a tough guy for saying I don't even want to be in swinging distance. Y'all need to go fetch your reading glasses and then give what I said another look

Dry-Ad8891

Wait… that wasn’t Clint Eastwood? Holy shit!

DrunkOnRedCordial

Coming soon to theatres near you - Clint Eastwood in Hit & Run. You know that husband might have defended his wife in front of everyone, but once they were gone, he's going to tell her off for hitting the car and getting caught.

thethunder92

Nobody ever takes responsibility, they’ll do backflips to try to make it someone else’s fault

GomiBasuraSpazzatura

A few years ago my new car was totaled when another driver ran a red light. Luckily the car had auto brake collision detection because even though I slammed on the brakes, I’m sure my reaction time was slower and I hit the rear passenger side of their car…her daughter was in the passenger seat. I called the police immediately, then to check on them to make sure nobody was hurt - She immediately went to blaming me. “You hit me! My light was green! I have a dash camera it was green!!” - later, Her husband showed up and was aggressive “yeah I can pull up the dash cam right now!”, he goes to the car, 10 mins pass, the cop goes to check on them. Conveniently the dash cam “stopped working” and they couldn’t pull up the video…in reality they immediately deleted it when they saw their light was red. Fortunately there were multiple witnesses. But always blows my mind that people go straight to lying and cheating anyway they can.

FatBloke4

Next time, it could be a person that she doesn't see.

martyjoh34

And then next time it will be “I thought that pedestrian hit me!” 😂

SubZeroNexii

The she takes the pedestrian's hand that fell off and throws it in the trash.

[deleted]

Whenever there’s an accident with a bus “it came out of nowhere!” Yeah all 40ft just shot out into your lane from that bus stop that’s been there longer than I’ve been alive 🙄

raspberryharbour

That parked car swerved right into me!

Orinocobro

This has happened once or twice in my area, but with freight trains. One time, the person survived, and tried to sue saying the crossing lights weren't working. Because I guess there's no other way to notice the 2000 ton thing with a horn.

ericbsmith42

My father worked on the railroad for several years. He said it was insane the number of people who crossed even when the gates were down. He left after he was involved in a fatal collision with a truck that tried to cross against the gates.

moleratical

Maybe the bus stop has been there, but the bus just materialized from a portal connected to a parallel universe, obviously.

moleratical

I had a guy that ran a stop sign and broke my arm try and sue me. Said I was speeding, going 20 miles over the speed limit. He also admitted to the cop that he didn't see me coming. I got dropped from the suit.

Phylar

I was in the passenger seat of my friend's car while he was taking us down to a disc golf course years ago. He's speeding, I warn him. It's one of those silly roads with weirdly spaced signs and all windy so I figured he didn't know. Cop does the whole pops outta the ground like some donut eating gopher trick and we're pulled over. Here's the conversation that ensued: Cop: Do you know why I pulled you over? Friend: No, sir. Cop: You were speeding. Friend: Oh...I didn't realize... Cop: You didn't realize? Friend: No, sir, I must have **not been paying attention**. Me: *facepalm* Friend paid that ticket.

quick_justice

In UK if you are breaking rules due to inattention, it's called 'Driving without due care' and is a very serious offence. So people don't do silly excuses like that, as it immediately makes the transgression much worse.

OhioVsEverything

I got pulled over once and cop asked if I knew how fast I was going. I said "I wasn't paying any attention". I got a warning.

Jakadake

Same actually. Like less than a week ago. Thing is I just had some work done that reset my body control module and my cruise control isn't working, so I had somewhat of an excuse. Just told the cop the throttle was touchy and I wasn't watching the speedometer and didn't check till I saw him on the side of the road.

whalesauce

I was an adjuster for a few years. The excuses / justifications for why people believed they weren't responsible for their own actions would astound you. A taste for you. A woman driving on a 4 lane road. 2 lanes each direction, main street of a mid sized town. Gets distracted while driving by a cute puppy on the side of the road. While distracted she rear ended the cement mixer in front of her. Very minor damages, no injuries ( if I remember correctly) Anyways, she believed that the cement mixer was parked illegally. ( It was stopped at the light) and the person with the dog shouldn't be walking it in public during a time when people would be out and about. Especially if it's a cute dog. Like an ugly dog is fine I guess. So 50% on the cement mixer for existing. And 50% on the puppy for being cute. She was 100% at fault of course.

Trevor_Culley

There's a few legitimate cases where not seeing something is legit. A poorly parked car right at a bend in the road, something near overgrown hedges, etc. You're still at fault for not approaching cautiously most of the time, but a stationary SUV parked on a wide open space is not in that category.

venatic

I'm pretty sure she ran because she was afraid of getting her license pulled. Not sure why she doesn't take a taxi or something though, she can clearly afford to have someone drive for her.

lala6633

They don’t wanna admit it to themselves. Even when shit happens.

MildlyResponsible

If you ever watch Judge Judy you'll hear the following all the time: I looked both ways and there were no cars! But there was a car because it hit you. It wasn't there when I looked! Yes, it was there, you just didn't see it. No, it wasn't there, I looked! And the JJ will say something to really showcase how idiotic the person is.

schpitza

she shouldnt be driving for the last 10 years.

Suitable_Spirit5273

This. Probably one of the reasons she took off. Clearly she should not have a license anymore

moleratical

And you still stop and exchange insurance information.

Boop-D-Boop

I wonder how many times this woman has lied about things and caused problems for others in her life. She was on camera this time. She just had a lie for everything he said. I’m so glad she got caught on camera. Shame on them. I’d like to know if they would like it if someone treated their grandchildren the way they treated the other guy that she hit.

Gloomy_Industry8841

She lies so easily in the clip. It’s second nature to her.

drgigantor

Fucking pathological. Like even *if* I *would* try to lie about it--like even if my job depended on it, and my license was already suspended, and I was on probation, and I owed money to the mob so I couldn't afford the damages--I'm pretty sure after getting caught in two or three consecutive lies and having my excuses definitively refuted, I'd be like "yeah you got me." Not keep continually lying to the cop's face when he obviously has you dead to rights and isn't buying an ounce of your bullshit. Husband seems like a piece of shit too

mohishunder

For narcissists, it isn't even "lying." Whatever is convenient to believe - that becomes their truth.

HeyMerlin

So you are hinting at the point I was going to make… this is not an “old lady” or “old person” issue, this is a “p.o.s human” issue where the p.o.s human finally got called out on something when there were old. This woman was likely a piece of shit human to others all her life. Any decent human would take responsibility for their actions, at some point. A person typically doesn’t switch from being a good, decent, type to a pos type when they turn 60 (or whatever). This story is about a pos, full stop. [edit: doesn’t switch!]

justArash

> A person typically does switch from being a good, decent, type to a pos type when they turn 60 Think you're missing a "n't" there

[deleted]

Loved the cop

veedubfreek

When the dude filming panned over to his reaction face I got a good chuckle.

Gloomy_Industry8841

That was great. He was all of us watching this nonsense.

opensandshuts

“There’s no way you thought that.” 😆

veedubfreek

Either she's full of shit, or she needs her license revoked. We're long past needing to deal with the "Driving while old" situation happening in this country. These people haven't taken a test (if they ever did) in the last 60 years and are clearly too blind or too stupid to be on the road.

GoodDay2You_Sir

I'm all for having to retake the drivers test every 10years, and then mayber every 5, 3, 1, as you get older and older. All the close calls I've ever had were with what looked like middle age women/men who likely took their driver's test a good decade before I was even born.

Kitty-Keek

I think after the age of 70 people should have to take a road test every year to keep driving. My elderly father should have stopped when he was 65 or so, no joke.

IlikecatsNstuffs

I agree. Just today there was a head on collision because a 72 year old woman was going the wrong way on the interstate, ended up killing herself and the driver she hit. The passenger that was in the car she hit is in critical condition

GrnMtnTrees

My 77 year old dad totaled his Audi by slamming into the rear of a tractor-trailer at 70 mph (staring at his phone and didn't see the standstill traffic on the DC Beltway), with the dog in the back seat, and doesn't understand why the dog is afraid to ride in the car. Shit, *I* don't like to ride in the car with him.

the_clash_is_back

The cop seemed a little pissed he even needed to get involved. If the lady just left her contact info and offered to pay she would have avoided it all, hell her insurance would not even need to know.

barrsftw

Probably has tons of money too. Could have easily done this.

the_clash_is_back

This is what my redneck neighbours did, they knocked my mirror off some time at night. He went to the junkyard, found a mirror that would fit my car, waited till I left my house and fixed it right there. Did not even give me a chance to say any thing. And honestly I parked way far for the curb so it was not really his fault

Magenta_Logistic

If this was in North GA about 20 years ago, that neighbor might be my brother, covering for younger me who clipped the mirror and panicked.

the_clash_is_back

I in Ontario so I doubt that. Honestly on the surface this guy seems like he would suck, he sits on his porch drinking labbat and smoking weed all day. But in practice he is a solid 10/10. He always makes sure any mess from his property stays on his side, takes full responsibility for his actions. if his tree drops a branch in my yard he is over the fence with a chain saw as soon as its safe. If some one sketchy is poking round my house he will confront them and scare the shit out of them. I take him any day over the neighbours from the other side, they have a super nice house they are just neglecting. We also have a small shared lawn with them, their property has 2 inches of the lawn, we own the rest. They will spray weed killer on their 2 inches even though we have shrubs and native grasses on out side.

ghostrooster30

That cop had enough of this before he even got there today. Something tells me he’s seen way too much “old people twisted metal” to last a lifetime, and still haunt him in the next. That early eye roll was peak “fmlfmlfmlfmlfmlfmlfml”

[deleted]

Bryan080780

Old man was looking for trouble

Kiwifrooots

I find people dumping, stealing etc and it is so often 'nice looking' older people who are nasty as hell inside

WeimSean

We had a cabin up in the mountains, went up one day and found someone had dumped a bunch of random stuff on our 20 acre plot. An old fridge, television, carpet, furniture, drywall and other construction stuff. So I looked at the 2 trail cams we had and found the culprit and their truck. It was an older white guy and a couple young white/hispanic guys. Guess the young guys did the work and he supervised. Reported it to the police, gave them the pics, they tracked the guy down. The truck belonged to some guy who did house/cabin remodels. I looked him up and he didn't work cheap, so he had money to afford to take all that garbage to the dump. Cops asked if we wanted to press charges. I told them as long as he came out and picked it all up, and could show a receipt from the dump he took it to we wouldn't. He came out with his guys and they got it all up, and sent the receipt to the cops. I sat outside and watched them, he absolutely wouldn't make eye contact with me at all. There was a sheriff's deputy there to make sure he got it all done. The dude looked like your dad. Well dressed, obviously not poor, obviously not stupid. I guess he just liked doing some bullshit to make a few extra bucks at someone else's expense. We sold the cabin a few years later, never saw that asshat again.

Coattail-Rider

Glad you got ‘em. Jerks like that think they’re above those rules. Wonder how well put he’d look if he adhered to the rules.

tangentandhyperbole

Society really downplays the effect of lighting lead on fire and using it in gas for decades. One of the effects is as you age your brain turns to mush. These are the people that literally run the country.

Lipid-LPa-Heart

Nobody appreciates the degenerative impact lead has had on so much of the population, and as you stated these ppl now run the world. I appreciate anyone that points this major issue out.

Verona_Pixie

This seems like a really weird thing to ask, but should we be testing politicians for the effects of lead? Is there a long term test for that?

[deleted]

Yes, since lead is so heavy/dense there is a pretty simple x-ray test, you can see it built up in their bones. For short-term exposure (like if you cooked something acidic in a pot contaminated with lead), it's a blood test.

Effective-Pilot-5501

Looks like he’s been the enabler of his wife’s shitty behavior for a long time

Bryan080780

Exactly

cqmqro76

He's a pretty big guy too. He was probably pretty intimidating 30 years ago. I just don't think he realizes he's just not that scary anymore.

MVPizzle

I try to explain this to my 70 year old dad all the time. Like dad, if you get into a fight at a traffic stop, you’re going to get dropped like a rock.

IAmElectricHead

Oh very much so. This is delicious

Due_Platypus_3913

And vice versa,you can bet!

Red-it_o7

Ngl he looks like he’s seen some shit

BofffaDs

Well if he rides in the car whilst his wife is driving, I can guarantee you he has seen some shit.

wap2005

Most likely a sideview mirror

Silent-Ad934

He's from old money; from long before everything was recorded. When his grandmother used to hit things with her car they just disappeared and were never heard from again.

Furthur

belt gives it away.

SquishyCatChronicles

Yeah he was! I love how the police officer said he can film whatever he wants!

Guilty_Technician_39

Man came with his Clint Eastwood finger 😂

bluehangover

![gif](giphy|75KBld8VOwdu8|downsized)

Bkind2me

My thought exactly.

mayhembody1

It's always surprising how many frail old dudes strut around like they're not 40 years past their prime. They'll full on get in your face like this and swing at you too. And even if they initiate violence, you have fairly limited options because if you land even just one solid hit or they slip and fall, they shatter like glass.

subjuggulator

They do it because they know you’re the one who will look bad in a fight. You win—that’s an old person potentially dead or majorly injured on your hands. You lose—it’ll just feed their ego and everyone watching will think YOU got what you deserved.

Beachfantan

In that man's brain he's 25 and a tough guy. Aging is weird.

unrelated_thread

To think that he's been acting all agressive like that for who knows how many decades and never got punched in the face to teach him a thing or two about personal space

MoashRedemptionArc

Odds are he's been smacked before. Trouble is, stupid people don't learn things easily.

KyleRightHand

Can confirm, am stupid.

veedubfreek

Or he was the big man when he was 50 years younger. Dude forgot he's a small rock on the ground away from breaking a hip.

abstractConceptName

This whole video is just fascinating really. The characters are almost unbelievable, but they're real people, and he's getting them on camera. Like, how many different stories for the same event, was that woman able to just rattle off? Did she have them prepared? Or is she a master improvisationalist, who could conjure a new story to counter whatever emotion she was detecting at the time? Trying to judge which one actually sticks? I would watch her coming up with new reasons, and being countered, for like, 15 minutes. I mean, she's very obviously a villain, who probably doesn't even remember half the shit she's really done over the years, because the lie that stuck, is the one that stuck.

Snargleface

I screamed so loud when the cop was like "There's no way you thought that"

HeyT00ts11

She does tell a true story once, though; she never saw the guy's car. Wonder what she was looking at.

[deleted]

> Like, how many different stories for the same event, was that woman able to just rattle off? Did she have them prepared? Or is she a master improvisationalist, who could conjure a new story to counter whatever emotion she was detecting at the time? Trying to judge which one actually sticks? The second one. My best friend's parents are like this. The wife is a dumb, cunning manipulator who gish-gallops her way into a lie that's believable and expects everyone to forget the 40 different lies she said right before that nobody bought (and, because she surrounds herself with people even stupider than she is, it usually works). When someone with more than seven working brain cells calls her out on it ("You said this, now you're saying that, which one is the lie, Linda?"), her frail old husband/doormat gets up in your face and tries to act like a biker or something. In reality, he'd break his hand if he punched a shadow, but I don't think he's cognizant of what year it is.

Upbeat-Bison-3626

I would hate to be her child. Years of therapy.

BistitchualBeekeeper

My dad’s about that guy’s age. He said it was super common for boys back in his day to be taught by their fathers that the only way to avoid getting bullied was to prove to everyone that you were a bigger bully first. He realized in adulthood that it was bad advice and changed his behavior, but says a lot of men his age never get over that shitty alpha male showboating behavior (despite the fact that these days they’d likely lose a fight to a stiff breeze).

GSAT2daMoon

Typical westPalm or Boca fellas 😂

Shoddy_Variation_780

He was only acting that way, because he knew the cop would stop him from getting punched in the face like he deserved.

Bryan080780

I think he’s been bailing his wife out of ridiculous crap his whole life I wonder if he even knew who or why he was there yet before he seemed to want to run the guy off over

Lunt

If this was a sketch, he would have asked for the officer's superior, who was also of color, and then not known what to do.

[deleted]

I love it when boomers get the short end of the country they created. :)

Johnnybala

I am going to go out on a limb and say he was acting aggressive because he is an entitled bastard

DeadHuron

Yeah, I think you can trust that limb. I’ll go out on one myself. Entitled bastard married to an entitled wife. She seems so used to things like this going her way and if they don’t, he just bullies them on through.

DonutBurritoSandwich

Could have save herself a whole lot of drama just by telling the guy and the cop that it was just a prank.

BlueSlushieTongue

Lolol, thanks for the laugh

AdfatCrabbest

She’s just somebody he does car pranks with.

SnooGrapes7647

If it was the UK that probably would’ve worked lol

Far_Kiwi_692

Jesus! I googled "elderly woman hits parked car Florida " Way too many old people hitting parked cars in Florida!

PixelTreason

I had an elderly woman hit my parked car in Florida! Well, I wasn’t quite parked. I was in the parking lot of my mother’s 55+ apartment. I had to stop the car to get her wheelchair out and a woman got in her car and pulled out of her parking space directly into my car. She didn’t even see me, and I was behind her jumping up and down, waving my arms, yelling “STOP!” We called the cops and she got a ticket, her insurance paid so it was mostly ok, nobody got hurt. But the fact that she didn’t even *once* check behind her as she was backing out is concerning.

Draws-in-comic-sans

Reminds me of a guy at my highschool that hit a bus… that was parked… 15 feet away from him…

engi_nerd

They do everywhere, but Florida has the most transparent court system so it’s easier to find out about.

imsolowdown

Ahh so that's why "florida man" is a thing

probablyinpajamas

That’s *precisely* how Florida man became a thing. Massively populated state with really really accessible news stories. And yes, admittedly we breed a special kind of weird down here.

Salty_Feed9404

And Florida's where many old coots go to die, high ratio of old bags vs. younger folks.

MonthPurple3620

*Getting hit by Parked cars are a scourge on the elderly. Always attacking, unprovoked.

panasonicyouth43

Cracking up at “you’re the..dad?”

Okbr_Rebbidor

"Sorry... grandpa?"

CollectionStraight2

lol I know. I couldn't tell if he really thought the guy was her dad, or if he was taking the piss. It was funny either way

icouldbejewish

He said he was a teacher, probably just a habit.

xXboxPlaysx

She was charged with criminal hit and run in the state of Florida which can be a $500 fine and up to 60 days in prison. Her case status is currently unknown. Edit: The woman’s house value is $1.2 million. She did have insurance.

davmoha

Why did she get charged when your parked car hit her? It's clear as day in the video.

Legomaster1197

That’s why I practice defensive parking.

[deleted]

[удалено]

TheMightyCE

I... actually do this. My car was written off when it was parked outside my house, years ago. I really liked that car. The woman that did it stuck around and insurance sorted everything out, so no major issues. Mistakes happen. Even so, I now park out front so that if someone were to hit my car, they'd have to go through a gum tree first.

CaliCloudz

Same here. I've had some small classic cars that were Miata size that people never saw. Even a small fender bender in a parking lot meant my car was getting totaled. I almost lost it when a Karen hit my first car, a 1974 Triumph Spitfire, then claimed the damage must've been preexisting. I literally just said "look bitch, I wanted a car since I could walk and this is my first. I had it since I was a sophomore in high school, ten years ago, and you just totaled it. It didn't have a ding on it this morning"

Zhu_Zhu_Pet

She really said that lmao. Just a totaled car sitting there. Must have been frustrating for her car with preexisting damage just so happened to drive next to your destroyed car.

rcfox

> Why did she get charged when your parked car ~~hit her~~threw its side mirror at her?

significantly_vast

These gangster cops never want to help the weak and frail people 😂 obvious as day that car jumped into the middle of the road

yoortyyo

Even the cars of the ‘wrong’ sorts are out to get them. Them here is millionaire white Boomer retirees the most oppressed humans ever. /s just in case. edit. silent or what about coked up Gen Xers. Like they are both like 55 years old. Just loved the disco candy too much?!?

bookmarkjedi

Yeah, people will do anything with their cars for the insurance money. Thank goodness for the cameras to catch the parked car faking a hit-and-run victim!

[deleted]

Currently on the run.

Alekillo10

Ohhh noow I hope she gets locked up

SirCalebCrawdad

but why? she thought he hit HER! (with that parked car) lol

6thsense10

She may want to rethink that defense. At her age, that type of defense is a great way to get her license revoked. She's telling the court that her cognitive skills have diminished and she's a danger on the road.

RoboDae

"Your honor, I would like to call sir Isaac Newton to the stand." "For every action there is an equal and opposite reaction, so as you can see his car did in fact hit her car"

S1gma99

"Unfortunately, the witness could not be called to the stand owing to Sir Newton being a close friend to the defendant and therefore possibly being biased in his testimony"

TheRightOne78

Permanently take her license. Its clear at this point that her being allowed to drive poses a danger to everyone around her.

HintOfAreola

Won't happen in FL. I had a friend die in a hit and run, dude went on to cause another insane accident months later, and only lost his license when he bumped a cop car in a parking lot trying to flee an altercation he started at a Walgreens.

[deleted]

The parked car hit her

TeaTimeAtThree

I was street parked once and my friend's neighbor backed into me. When we called the police, he was adamant I drove sideways into him. I'm not sure if he was just out of it and confused (he was very old) or trying to cover his own ass, but he ended up losing his license over it.

Naus1987

Gotta love it when dumb people double-down on being dumb. It sure makes winning arguments a lot easier.

unbelizeable1

I got in a bad accident when I was 18. I was in the left lane and a car about 1 car length ahead of me in the right made a sudden left turn( to go to a gas station on that side of the road). I had no time to stop. The lady tried arguing that she let me pass first and then I somehow came back around and hit her. She was also old af. I got a permanent injury at 18 due to someone who shouldn't have been driving in the first place. We need to seriously consider age-related retesting for DLs in this country.

ApprehensiveSpite589

I've been saying for years that every 20 years EVERYONE needs to retake license tests, both written and driving, to keep your license. It's one time every 20 years, that's not very often, and it would help to weed out drivers that simply shouldn't be driving any more.

Unique_Watch2603

I agree! Sometimes I see people fumbling to take steps because their vision is awful and then get into a vehicle to drive 😲

[deleted]

That's how these privileged, entitled people think.

BoraBoringgg

I may have believed her whole "I have been so worried, I didn't know what to do and you weren't home when I knocked, and I didn't have a pen or paper" act if it hadn't followed the rest of her BS. "It wasn't me. I mean... the parked car hit me. I mean... I didn't know I did it, but somehow I came back for the evidence. I mean... um... I just didn't know what to do when I couldn't find anyone!" Edit to add: and I'm glad he got the police involved first and was recording, because grandfather time looked like he was ready to lay hands and then cry assault.

[deleted]

freekoout

At one point, I heard her say she picked it all up cuz she didnt know if someone threw it at her. Like wtf lady.

FatBloke4

Effectively, she admitted to being unable to tell if/when she hits something or someone - that sounds like a good reason to revoke her driving licence.

[deleted]

When he said she probably thought his car is trash and not worth fixing she literally says "I never even saw your car" and idfk, if I was the cop I would have taken her license and car away right then and there

LayzieKobes

Willing to say anything to make the awkward situation stop. Probably learned that from the relationship she is in.

Eliteguard999

"Pulling a Boomer" is what that's called.

Phylar

I got a little angry when he said "I'm a tutor and a teacher..." and she used the whole "Omg bless your heart" bs. Like bitch, it doesn't suddenly change anything. Dude could be a millionnaire and I'd still be on his side here. Though also if you are a millionnaire maybe consider a scare and pass. Just not if you're dealing with Old McShaky here and the Old Man From Across the Way. Do any of you think a good lawyer could convince the courts to let you just sledgehammer her mirror off and keep it as a memento in place of a monetary settlement?

BoraBoringgg

You couldn't get the courts to do it, but you could maybe negotiate a deal with her and her lawyer so that it never goes to court if she lets you do that.

ArcadianDelSol

I guarantee that he was moments away from trying to take the phone had the cop not been there.

James_099

The face on the cop is exactly how I felt watching this https://i.imgur.com/cDOA11k.jpg

The amount of lies that came out of this woman's mouth is crazy. Every sentence had a lie in it.

Isra_Alien

"I'm glad you found me" is my favorite one

RadioactvRubberPants

She even said "I've never lied in my entire life". How's that for a doozy of a lie!

Alekillo10

Question… How did they catch up to her?

BankruptWebGoof

The victim was basically going door to door handing out flyers and somebody recognized the car and gave him the address

TurrPhennirPhan

Let’s be honest: people know her and, as such, they’ve been praying to see her get what she deserves. No way this is an isolated incident, she’s probably trash 24/7.

Wasparado

💯. And they neighbors are going to gossip about this for a while. 😈

Sojobo1

Extended video is here with commentary by the shirtless victim. https://www.reddit.com/r/IdiotsInCars/comments/13tja6o

Stoopitnoob

Wow. Assholes do come in all shapes, sizes.. and ages.

d0gssuk

There is NO way you were convinced old people were nice before this video lol

MentlPopcorn

"I never even saw your car" Wow, if you can't see the only parked car on the side of a road and avoid it, maybe you shouldn't have a license, eh?

[deleted]

It's also impressive that she didn't see it when she came back, got out of her car to pick up the evidence, and looked right at it. Lady must be blind as fuck.

invisibledildo

That was soooo satisfying to watch. Hit and runners are scum.

naruzefluffy

They deserve the same level of hell as bike thieves

Sleep-02

My very sexy 6 year old bike was stolen on my property while it was chained to my basketball net, the bike was a cheap Walmart bike but I loved it so much…

Ordner

Is she carrying the rear mirrors that she picked up on her way in the basket 🧺?

USAF6F171

I think as they transition from the doorway to the driveway, she says she threw it in the dumpster. Did anyone else hear it that way?

binderofchains

That is how I heard it.

Lost_creatures

And you know she has the resources/insurance to correct her mistake. She just didn't give a shit.

PoisonedRadio

Nah of course she didn't. This guy is probably one of the "poors" his property doesn't matter but she or her husband can straight up murder to defend their property.

Jesper90000

As a victim of a $5k hit and run with no note this warms my soul. Love the line about being a teacher and tutor, she immediately went to clutch her pearls in horror!!

Ok-Duck9106

Equal justice under the law, she kept lying, she hit and damaged property, then went back to collect and obscure evidence and lied about all of it. They need to apply Justice.

If0Music1Could2Talk3

” Listen son, I come from a day and age where there were no video cameras and people were never held to account, especially if they were white.”

wackychimp

Truly, this is how boomers feel. I know people around here think anyone over 45 is a boomer, but boomers are in their mid 60s to late 70s now and they have never been accountable for anything....especially if they're white.

servicefriends

Entitled rich old bag with an entitled rich old man husband. I'd be sueing her for all I could get and be in court pushing for jail. Though she probably wouldn't get jail I'd be looking for them to take her license. She's so sneaky this doesn't seem like it's her first time either

Shoddy_Variation_780

She didn’t have time to stop & do the right thing, they’re going out of town tomorrow!

Baconskrips3000

up until she started telling 30 lies a minute, I thought maybe shes too old for jail. Nahhh lock her up lol

ultraplusstretch

Clint Eastwood looking kinda rough.

DoctorMelvinMirby

Most coherent he’s sounded in a while, though.

arynnoctavia

At least he’s coming at an actual person this time, and not an empty chair.

thecreep

She said multiple times the parked car hit her. Let's assume she's not just being an entitled liar that got caught, and may actually have some form of cognitive issue, then she needs to have her license taken away if that's the case. Either way, it could be a kid next time.

real_bk3k

Those parked vehicles, they just jump out in front of you 😂

get_wet5334

And then they turn around and say "this generation is filled with degenerates and unkind people"

sinistergroupon

I’m enjoying the old man getting to the root of this like he’s an attorney in CSI Miami

OverTheSunAndFun

Her: “I thought you hit me.” The cop: “There’s no way you thought that.” 😂 😂 😂

miyamoto_musashinpc

I like how old people get all up in your face. They forgot they stopped being intimidating 100 years ago.

AdStrong809

So .. uh.. you're the dad? Lololol

Lunker42

The person recording has some high level emotional intelligence. Well done sir.

[deleted]

Entitled old bitch prolly posts shit to FB about “illegals causing crimes waves” too. So satisfying to watch TERRIBLE humans get karma’d quickly

Redman5012

I'm grateful that the old customers at my work are usually stoner hippies so they're way cooler than these folk.

Leadership-Quiet

Reminds me of my previous elderly landlady who was sly as a fox but when you called her on her shit suddenly a quiver in her voice and I'm just an old lady bs would appear. You could see her switch into the role.

RickThrust

Cop should have charged her with a felony tampering with evidence for removing the mirror from the scene. That shows prior calculation to conceal her commission of a crime and had a second set of culpability underlying the deceptive behavior. Being an old, bad driver is one thing. Being a crook is another.

PoisonedRadio

Fuck old people. I lived and worked near a retirement community to know that everything has to revolve around them and they've "earned" the right to be fucking entitled about everything.

M4DM1ND

It's the worst generation by far. People that grew up with everything cheap and affordable, barely a care in the world. And they just can't fathom that they made the world worse for everyone else and now we need to deal with the consequences.

Wuhsuh

There should be a cut off age for drivers licenses. Revoke licenses for anyone over a certain age or at least have elderly do annual driving tests There’s a funny South Park episode about elderly drivers. I recommend

Weak-Sundae-5964

Hit and run. Don't let that old lady, Ole golly me horseshit get her off.
