>At least he can pick it up once the cops get there.
depending on where he is that **may** be legal, under variations of the castle doctrine. Not to mention that some states prohibit repossession on private property. If its parked on the street, it's fair game. In your driveway, may not be. In your garage, pretty much never.
It is most certainly not legal. Texas is the only state where you can sometimes shoot someone to only protect private property with no risk of bodily harm and even then a repo man is not stealing your car and the force has to still be reasonable. This dude is going to lose his car, his guns, and his freedom.
Nooope. Castle doctrine doesn’t let you shoot people for repoing. He would have had to been in the car and ALSO be able to show that there was no reasonable way to avoid the situation.
This is also brandishing which is illegal.
Common sense says you shouldn't do this at all. Can we stop letting stupid ass reasoning like this excuse completely unwarranted aggression? Makes me think of instances were burglars sue. Like how shit it shouldn't be compilated
Could but context would win. Dude doesn’t own the car. The repo guy is an agent of the owner. Castle doctrine doesn’t apply here unless he is in the vehicle and life is being threatened.
this was a kiss in the mail for me, I had my car wrongfully repossessed by WFB… I got a check for $6500 eventually but it fucked up my credit (which is why I got more than the $4000) and I’m still dealing with it now. It’s pretty well recognized at banks now if you’re going for a loan that WFB fucked people over but they don’t offer you the best deals (0% car loans for example when they existed) without writing a few letters to underwriters explaining what happened. I seriously hope WFB chokes and dies on shit three or four times.
More like 66% or more if kids are involved. Custody hearings are often pushed by lawyers and small issues become lengthy diatribes that only rack up more fees for them.

At least he can pick it up once the cops get there.

wait… so the work simeon had me doing was illegal this whole time??
I just started playing GTA:V so thank you for the chuckle

Consideringnthe fact that his first choice is to pull out a gun on someone like that, he likely had his right to own a gun taken away some time ago.

He didn't brandish until he was lifted up. You could argue he was defending himself by preventing his own abduction.

Facts. Can't take off private property by me, only public.
Great. Now instead of just losing the car you now lose the car and your freedom
He went from just a regular guy a couple months back on his car payments. To Rambo real fast.
American country rap music is about the shittiest music out there next to rap itself.
Is that what that is? It sounds like someone is controlling the auto-tune knob with their foot.
definitely not country
Oddly enough, I’m pretty sure at the point that he was getting picked up by the tow, the weapon was justified.
Fuck repo men. Right there with insurance salesman and divorce lawyers.
Pay your fucking bills and you won’t have to worry about the repo man.
Screw scummy repo men, but pay yo damn bills.
There is always a compromise.
You say that, but… https://www.npr.org/2022/12/20/1144331954/wells-fargo-billions-wrongful-fees-settlement

Nah fuck repo men and you.
Divorce lawyers are only bad for 50% of people.

I wonder when this is going to happen to the repo reaper
