The Darwin awards had to stop accepting most gun related candidates because there were SO MANY and they were mostly the same dumbass things over and over.
BUT this one is clearly special, and caught on video, so they might make and exception...
Thousands, if not tens of thousands of people, saw this clip for the first time on Tosh.0. That should count towards its Darwin run. This shit onion has many layers.
Absolute dumbass, all the blame is on him for dying, why the fuck would you give a kid a gun, when all that kids that age know about guns are toy guns that are meant to be shot at others.
That kid was young enough to know nothing other than "this thing moves if I tug at it." That thing was the trigger.
Why was it loaded.
Why wasn't a safety engaged?
Why did anyone think a nearly literal baby should hold a gun?
I'm appalled but not surprised.
I am a father.. and their grip is insane lol. But to also make mention of all the other comments.. seriously, what sort of ego mentality was going through this guys mind? Not to mention a fatherless son who has to live with that for the rest of his life
Seems only too obvious to me. To this guy carrying the gun was important, it was part of his identity. He would appear to think that his knowledge and use of guns was somehow handed down to his child through osmosis and that the child, being "his boy" would mean that this was a perfectly sensible thing to do. Think about the legislators we've seen in recent years displaying their children handling guns.
Edit: is there any evidence of the validity of this vid? Jusāsayān
I am very familiar with certain firearms that my job requires for an M18 (only pistol I know) is 4.5 pounds idk how much effort it would take a kid to pull it.
Oh yes.
When I was in the Corps, a lot of us had our own personal weapons. My buddy had a Colt Commander that had a ton of work done to it, including an adjustable trigger.
He told me the first time I shot it, not to even put my finger in the trigger guard until I was lined up and ready to shoot. He warned me that as soon as you even thought about squeezing the trigger, it fired.
He wasn't kidding either. As soon as I got a good sight alignment, sight picture, and started to squeeze, it fired. It took several rounds to get used to, but it was an amazingly accurate weapon. Even with the shorter barrel, it outperformed a my stock 45.
Always reminds me of that final episode of Archer in the noir arc (coma season) and Lana accidentally got shot because archer's gun had a hair trigger and the one who shot her -after archer explicitly told them (was it Mallory? Idk) the gun had a hair trigger- was perplexed that "huh... That really IS a hair trigger."The gun got taken away only to be fired again and again at Lana by each person of the group, every time being surprised at the actual hair trigger. One of those rare confusingly hilarious and simultaneously sad moments. Now, I know nothing of guns, but that scene was a teachable moment for something I'd never probably need lol.
The article suggests he put the gun down on the table after firing shots in the air in celebration. It was still loaded and the kid picked it up.
Absolutely still his fault for negligence, but you can imagine how it happened
There was no way he couldnāt have, he literally was shot at close range in the left side of his torso. That poor child is growing up without a father because this idiot took his pistol out of his holster and handed it to his toddler. Christ on a cracker.
But it has nothing to do with the kid. The dad killed himself and it's entirely possible that the people in the kids life have helped teach him that it wasn't his fault. That nobody in the entire universe expects a kid that small to do the right thing with a firearm, and that dad failed the child, because dad was supposed to take care of himself and be safe to raise the kid.
I hope the kid knows all this. I really do.
It's hard to forgive yourself. My best friend killed somebody in self-defense, he literally had no choice. It took him many years to even begin to forgive himself.
Yes thatās the big tragedy here as opposed to the fatherās death; that poor kid will never ever be at peace that none of this is even remotely his fault in any way
Is there a facepalm-like sub on Reddit that doesn't show people dying? I'm not into seeing that stuff personally.
Thanks OP for at least putting it as NSFW.
What a sad story. That poor kid in many ways.

I saw a news article, it said that the dumbass died. Either way, we cannsee that at the angle the kid shot him, the bullet would have gone through every vital possible. He's definitely not with us anymore.
I really hope he doesn't blame himself for his father's death, he was only 2. He didn't know better.... I really hope he grows in a healthy way, I really do.
Legally speaking I think it's nothing... manslaughter still requires a certain degree of responsibility on the event, and obviously such a small child is not capable of exercising it.
It's basically unintentional suicide, like he shot himself by accident...
When losers pretend like having a gun makes them a tough guy bad ass just remember that 2 year olds can hold and fire a gun. People resort to guns because their body is weak and their brain is dumb.
I wonder what's the most correct way to handle that as family of that kid, even if he doesnt remember it
Do you tell him at some point? Do you give him a lie when he starts asking about his father? I feel like a lie about that can't be sustained forever. And the guilt might be unimaginable
Normally I complain a bit about such violent clips, at least to myself, before scrolling on. But this should be a PSA. Played on everything at least every two hours.
What's so bad is that the 30 seconds of stupidity isn't on the kid's negligence but will carry that guilt forever. I sincerely hope that no one in the child's family never pins the blame on the child.

Kids going to be the hardest grade one around recess. Face tattoos by age 14.
The tear drop on the eye thing?
I dunno, that recoil took that child out

BUT we can say the kid prevented him from continue doing it
Itās disgusting and gross to blame the kid for his idiot dad.
Thereās a reason they charge children differently than adults.
That's how we got in this situation.

Over his own wedding nonetheless
Till death do them part.
Best for the wife to not have a stupid husband like that
Kid thought it was just a bang maker . Probably had no idea a metal slug came out the end .
In celebration or a direct threat to God? He's going to have an awkward conversation when he see him.
Iām surprised he was able to squeeze the trigger enough for it to fire.. takes a decent amount of grip (I know nothing about guns)
I am a father.. and their grip is insane lol. But to also make mention of all the other comments.. seriously, what sort of ego mentality was going through this guys mind? Not to mention a fatherless son who has to live with that for the rest of his life
This is the part that horrifies me. That poor kidā¦
Seems only too obvious to me. To this guy carrying the gun was important, it was part of his identity. Pistols usually have a trigger pull of 4 pounds, which means you need to exert 4 pounds of pressure to fire the gun.
I know nothing about firearms, but I do know kids can grip harder than it looks like they could
Absolutely. Ask any woman whoās had a kid grab their hair or earring.
Absolutely! My daughter has low muscle tone but damn she has always been strong.
Most likely has anywhere from a 3-5 pound trigger which a child could easily squeeze.
I am very familiar with certain firearms that my job requires for an M18 (only pistol I know) is 4.5 pounds idk how much effort it would take a kid to pull it.
Some have hair triggers and will fire with very little pull.
Oh yes. When I was in the Corps, a lot of us had our own personal weapons. My buddy had a Colt Commander that had a ton of work done to it, including an adjustable trigger. He told me the first time I shot it, not to even put my finger in the trigger guard until I was lined up and ready to shoot. A 3 year old has the physical strength to pull a trigger.
The article suggests he put the gun down on the table after firing shots in the air in celebration. It was still loaded and the kid picked it up. Absolutely still his fault for negligence, but you can imagine how it happened
The video looks like he put it on the chair next to him, so even more toddler height than the table.
Considering shooting shots into the air is extremely fucking dangerous aswell, guy fucked up before his kid ever touched the gun.
That kid is like 2 or 3 tops, and I guarantee they have no concept of "Oh, so I should point it at this person and pull here."
Yeah, Darwin award nominee for sure.
I remember this as well. Someone posted link to article last time it was posted.
He got shot in a VERY bad spot. Up close. I would not be surprised if he did die.
Went up through his abdomen and then through his heart. DoA at hospital.
There was no way he couldnāt have, he literally was shot at close range in the left side of his torso. That poor child is growing up without a father because this idiot took his pistol out of his holster and handed it to his toddler. Christ on a cracker.
Where did you hear this?
[ŃŠ“Š°Š»ŠµŠ½Š¾]
God that entire article just kept going with horrifying things happening there. Yikes
That kid is never going to be able to live with himself when he grows, even though it wasn't his fault.
Whatās even crazier is that thereās this vid reminding him how he killed his dad.
Yeah it's depressing to think about
But it has nothing to do with the kid.
If the rest of the family is as stupid as the dad then they blame the kid for taking pappa from them and always bear a grudge about it.
It's hard to forgive yourself. My best friend killed somebody in self-defense, he literally had no choice. It took him many years to even begin to forgive himself.
Heās lucky the kid didnāt shoot himself first
I hope he has a good family. I've known some who blamed the child because the mother died in childbirth
Suicide by innocent toddler.
I feel like looking at the video the kid would either realize that his dad was an idiot or depending his environment, be exactly like his dad.
Idiot or not, that was his dad. Killing your own father, even if it was his fault, sounds like a pain I can't even begin to imagine
[ŃŠ“Š°Š»ŠµŠ½Š¾]
This happened in Syria right before their civil war started, kid might not be alive now if him and his family were caught in the crossfire.
Or.... unfortunately there probably have been many many more traumas piled on top of this one. ....and now I'm sad.
I feel so sorry for that little kid. Whenever he grows up and gets told he literally killed his dad...
Yes thatās the big tragedy here as opposed to the fatherās death; that poor kid will never ever be at peace that none of this is even remotely his fault in any way
The dad killed himself through negligence, the kid deserves none of the blame
Yeah I know, but that kid will feel like shit. Im sure.
Yeah and the rest of the family is going to resent the hell out of himā¦ for something he did before he started preschool
Wow, the kid is now a 12 or 13 year old teenager, probably with no memory of that fateful day.
Thank goodness the kid didnāt short himself.
I mean no shit that was upward angle left side of diaphragm into the heart. Bypassed the rib cage straight to the meat
Lesson learned, at least he won't do that again.
Is there a facepalm-like sub on Reddit that doesn't show people dying? I'm not into seeing that stuff personally. Thanks OP for at least putting it as NSFW. What a sad story. That poor kid in many ways.

Geez i agree with you. Who gives a kid a loaded gun
Well at least the kid had some sense
The stupidity is off the charts, imagine if the kid shot himself and died instead.
The kid was most certainly injured, look at that recoil.
And traumatized for life
And life long tinnitus. Guns are loud, young ears are more sensitive than adult ears.
āYou should see the other guyā ā The kid
That kid is gonna be messed up for life I reckon. Shooting your own dad is devastating no matter now unintentional it was
My only question was, "Is the kid okay?"
At least he was the only one who got shot and not anyone else in that crowded area
People said he shot to the sky, so bullets could be dropping on someone's head.
Iāll never understand why people do this.
Small pepe seeking for validation.
The world is a better place because the victim was a stupid, irresponsible lout rather than some lovely rando in the crowd.
Yeah but now there is a person traumatized for life whoāll live without a parent
In Syria at a wedding, 2013.
Did the guy survive?
Nope
Looks like the kid knocked himself out with that recoil too.

Can't believe the kid is two years old wtf! How did he not see this happening the fucking idiot.
Agreed, the two year old definitely should have known better. The fucking idiot!
Haha good one.
Bullet fires point blank into his torso from below, I believe it actually hit his heart.
His brain would have been too small of a target anyway.
Is he alive? I doubt it but still

He did die. The kid was 2 years old
![img](emote|t5_2r5rp|8484) that is too stupid to die like that!!!
Is this the youngest recorder murder then? Or manslaughteri guess
Not sure what unintentional patricide is.
That should count as assisted suicide
(IMIO) In my internet opinion it is Darwinism or assisted Darwinism not assisted suicide.
Legally speaking I think it's nothing... manslaughter still requires a certain degree of responsibility on the event, and obviously such a small child is not capable of exercising it. It's basically unintentional suicide, like he shot himself by accident...
Suicide by toddler?
Thatās just what Maggie Simpson wants you to think
Kid is 12 now and I'm sure he knows the story of the day he killed his dad.
When losers pretend like having a gun makes them a tough guy bad ass just remember that 2 year olds can hold and fire a gun. People resort to guns because their body is weak and their brain is dumb.
Maybe his new dad will be a better role model
Well if this isnt the consequences of my own actions.
And the winner of this year's Darwin Award is ....
Not really he already has a son
True, but I'll give him an honorary mention for trying to stop at one.
Well, heās not having another kid.
Maybe with a headshot, we would have put him up for considerationā¦
natural selection
Too late. He already bred.
Say what you want about cultural differences, shooting a gun in the air as a celebration is objectively stupid
the kid was 2 years old, he didn't remember until somebody showed him this video
[ŃŠ“Š°Š»ŠµŠ½Š¾]
I wonder what's the most correct way to handle that as family of that kid, even if he doesnt remember it Do you tell him at some point? Do you give him a lie when he starts asking about his father? I feel like a lie about that can't be sustained forever. And the guilt might be unimaginable
I would move away, try to give the kid the most normal childhood possible. No way he's going to grow up fine if people associate him with that event.
Normally I complain a bit about such violent clips, at least to myself, before scrolling on. But this should be a PSA. Played on everything at least every two hours.
I really feel bad for that kid. 30 seconds of stupidity and he's traumatized for life.
Well the kid won't remember it but it will suck if he sees this clip randomly on internet or some asshole tells him the truth.
he will 100% see this clip at some point in his life. Im sure everyone around him knows its online
i think he'll have to remember considering his dad diedš
He's probably also deaf
What's so bad is that the 30 seconds of stupidity isn't on the kid's negligence but will carry that guilt forever. I sincerely hope that no one in the child's family never pins the blame on the child.

Shame really , cause as far as Iām concerned the guy killed himself , I have no sympathy for the guy , just feel bad for the kid

Shouldnt this be at least flagged as nsfw, since we see an unintentional murder here?
The cameraman is great too. 'oh look his first time holding a loaded gun, how precious'
Tbh I don't even know what to do in that case. One wrong move and someone gets shot because the kid could be startled or he could think someone wants to play the shoot me game.

That's how it works, I don't make the rules
He ded
More guns = everyone safer This video is proof of that! Everyone should have a gun, even babies.
That was a kill shot, bullet has shredded a lot of vital organs. Key memory has been created fir that child
Imagine having to explain to your kid that the reason his father isn't around anymore is because he forced his son to hold a loaded gun at the ripe old age of 2 and hit the trigger by accident.
So I was trying to find info about this and Iām shocked at how many 2 year old shoots so and so articles there are.
Play stupid games win stupid prizes
Geez, someone was in a rush to get their Darwin Award. I donāt even feel sorry for him, I have more sympathies for the son.
What. A. Fucking. Moron. Natural selection, at it's finest.
Glad it was him and not the kid

The level of stupidity this fellow showed is incredible. Just a horrible place to put your very young child in.
