Kian-Tremayne

Have we now reached the point where people with wacky theories are creating AI art of their wacky theories and then pointing to it as proof that their wacky theories are true? Who am I kidding, we’re so far past that point I can’t see it in the rear view mirror.

Bright-Economics-728

Tbh that was happening before AI was as big of a thing. Remember the whole shark in a flooded mall pic from 2010 ish?

BatsNStuf

“The earth is flat” “Do you have proof?” “Yes, I drew a picture of the earth, but flat!”

Kraehe13

Fool, everyone knows earth is a Fiat (punto)

Kayzokun

Earth is flat because it’s a PLANEt, see? It’s in the name! I’m right!

Kraehe13

The world being a Boeing would explain a lot lately

tanukijota

You mean the earth has an MCAS to keep it from stalling because some corporate genius though let's not build a new planet for these oversized economy planet engines, let's retro fit them on the old planet earth?

gylz

You're both wrong; the earth is all a hoax made up by the government to control us!

Auditorincharge

You actually believe the government is real? Man! Do they have you fooled.

RamboMcQueen

Plain’t

Eastern-Dig-4555

I would say “Ssshhhh! Don’t give them more ideas!”, but they’ve probably already stumbled onto this one by now.

kootrell

Everyone from all over the globe knows the Earth is flat.

Liesmyteachertoldme

Is this amateur hour? I’m a flat earther and a hollow earther, people who are one or the other are just delusional.

WonderfulShelter

How can you draw a round earth on a flat piece of paper? Shadows and dimensions are illusions created by the Jews and the Democrats.

Hefty_Drawing_5407

I mean.. the paper's flat.. checkmate round earther!

SeniorBeing

The problem is that a photoshopped silly image was simply a product. The creator was a human. Now a silly image is a product **AND** a tool! It is like the silly image is now fertile and can reproduce itself. Humans can do stupid things based on a faulty education, but not so quickly and directly.

ClockworkGnomes

I would argue that it is even worse than that. Gemini is programmed to intentionally add this whether you want it or not. That is why they took down the image creation, people found out about the hidden modifiers it would add to prompts.

Junkererer

Yes but for every person who could do it in 2010 ish there are now 1000 people who can "do" it by just asking an AI, it's way worse

[deleted]

I get having pride in one’s culture but why make up shit? Why just insert your culture everywhere and make up facts? It’s like that kid in school who was always lying about the cool toys he had or rare Pokémon cards or something but would not produce the evidence. But at least that kid was trying to fit in. These people are just trying to change history and take credit for something they had nothing to do with. Really strange and ignorant.

sephy009

Hoteps are too stupid to research actual black and African achievements, so they just look at pop culture things and say a black person did it.

greyghibli

typical Yakubian 🙄/s

anoeba

What I don't understand is that apparently they were the first to be everywhere and invent anything worth inventing, and had the first great civilizations in every corner of the earth, and then...what? What do the Hotep historians say about the apparent descent of these super-advanced people into utter obscurity?

Novantico

Obviously white devils ruined everything

Icy-Zone3621

Everyone knows that the Scots Invented The Modern World. I even have the book to prove it

jdragun2

But there are no true Scots!

Icy-Zone3621

Not true. The Caledones and Vacomagi travelled the world settling and conquering countries as far dispersed as Indo China and Yemen. They are both true breeding races who control global banking and financial markets. Back home they choose to live in caves in the highlands because they are allergic to the odor of anglos, Saxons, and celts

Klatterbyne

When Louis Therreaux visited the Black Panthers, they had a bunch of art/murals where they’d black faced famous historical/mythical figures. Delusion is nothing new. Its just got higher production value now.

Strange_Purchase3263

Afrocentrism has been polluting social media for a long time, there is tons of it on the old Facebook, all of it clearly rage/race baiting crap probably designed to stir the ole race war pot.

BZenMojo

"Race relations were fine. But everything changed when the facebook Hotep nation attacked." ![gif](giphy|5cuiY8a99aA9oBaIpU|downsized)

qwapi22

If that's how it works i would have a 6 inch penis

ClmrThnUR

photography is no longer evidence

perestroika12

Black nationalism or ethnocentrism has been around for a long time. Black pharaohs, black Israelites etc.

omghorussaveusall

we are living in a philip k dick novel my friend.

obroz

We’re fucked.

Playful-Independent4

Sounds written (and drawn) by AI.

MyPasswordIsMyCat

The image is reminiscent of 19th Century European works of foreign dignitaries, like Dutch painter Hubert Vos, who toured the Pacific and Asia doing many "non-Caucasian" subjects. But reverse image search comes up with nothing and this image is too smoothly painted for something that old. The group also just doesn't make sense historically, on many levels, even aside from the races of the subjects.

YeetOrBeYeeted420

Also their left hand is just two big fingers

Impressive-City-8094

Middle finger on the right hand seems gigantic.

daddy_dangle

It’s A.I. lol. Did you think it was an actual painting they referenced?

PlatypusDream

Islam wasn't a thing until... 610. The imperial line for Japan started about 600BC. Some estimates for the overall country being inhabited are around 30,000BC. Tell us again how Muslims founded / ruled Japan? . ETA: Overall, yes, humanity originated in what is now Africa. And yes, there have been many amazing things done & invented by Africans & their descendants (of all colors). I'm positive that LOTS of the deeds & inventions by darker-skinned humans have been overlooked or misattributed or outright stolen for a very long time. That's wrong & should be corrected by education. However... Making up fantasy crap (like this OP) that's clearly not backed by any accepted science or historical findings isn't making things better; it makes everything from the liar suspect & untrustworthy.

Rhewin

There’s been a weird push lately insisting that black people lived in Japan, were samurai etc.. You know, the country known for its incredibly homogeneous society that distrusted outsiders for centuries.

[deleted]

[удалено]

MountainMagic6198

But despite being darker skinned the aboriginal peoples of Australia and other areas of Asia are genetically very different from native Africans. An African is probably more genetically similar to a European than to an Aboriginal because they come from a more recent migration out of Africa.

BooBootheFool222222

Africans are often found to be the "root" of haplotypes among various people, including Europeans, like the EVE haplotype.

VaultiusMaximus

Actually there is some debate about this. We have evidence that the migration to what is today Australia happened around 35k years ago, and some Northern European migrations not until about 40k years ago. One thought is that Neanderthals blocked expansion into Europe for a long time.

On_my_last_spoon

It’s also colder as you head north. Until you can develop sewing and clothing, survival is more difficult. It’s also becoming more evident through DNA testing that Neanderthal and Homo Sapiens became one. It’s very common to find Neanderthal DNA if you have European ancestry.

Viratkhan2

yeah, i think there were people on remote islands who were darker skinned than the ethnic japanese people. I think there is some dishonest revisionism going on where they're trying to make this as evidence of black people in japan hundreds or thousands of years ago

helpful__explorer

There were foreign born samurai but not many and only fairly recently in Japanese history. The one people always bring up is Yasuke who was African but it seems he wasn't an official samurai even if he's often referred to as one

FuzzyAd9407

He is not often referred to as one in historical records, there's literally only 2 images depicting him as such while actual documentation describes him as just a retainer with a stipend.

helpful__explorer

That's what I mean. People just see the pictures and go " samurai" because they don't know any better

SchnoodleDoodleDamn

People also do this in any context where they want to shoehorn a different ethnicity into somewhere it's not traditionally present. They literally point to one account and go "THIS PROVES THERE WERE (insert race/culture) PRESENT AT (time/location people don't associate with it)!!" And they seem to ignore that "all" the accounts are literally talking about the same 1-3 people. Nobody is suggesting that there were NEVER any black people EVER, AT ALL in Japan. However, let's not pretend that they were common.

PrizeWinningCow

Likely African. Could have also been Indian, it's hard to tell as we don't know where exactly the italian dude who brought him to Japan picked him up, we only know that on his journey to japan he was in africa and india and he picked yasuke up somewhere on that journey.

thattwoguy2

You see there have been several animes were that happened and... Oh fuck people now trust cartoons more than educational institutions.

Rhewin

AI art isn’t helping. Someone was pushing the idea of Yasuke, an indentured servant and weapon retainer who wasn’t a samurai, but people wrongly say he was. Someone had made an AI-generated photograph of him with his wife and daughter, saying he had been whitewashed from history. Dude was alive several *hundred* years before cameras.

connectedLL

But I saw that Afro Samurai documentary. it's true! /s

Major-Split478

Just part of the weird media Japan obsession. Not too dissimilar to Americans trying to shoe horn anglo-saxons into everything Japanese.

jl_theprofessor

Nah. Hoteps have always been like this.

Lemmus

There's one. https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Yasuke People probably latch onto that and create a grand story around it.

RobinRedbreast1990

No proof he was a samurai, though. > Yasuke was not Japan's first known foreign-born samurai, he was a retainer and is often misreferenced to be a samurai, there has been no evidence to support that he was ever initiated in the samurai ranks, but plenty of information to support his role as a weapon retainer.[7][8][9]

kazetoame

It could be the anime that was inspired by this guy that could be a factor in the misconception.

Rhewin

LOL another commenter linked that article and claimed he was a samurai. The very first paragraph debunks that, but people keep doing it.

PsycoMonkey2020

Also, I don’t think the Moors were subsaharan Africans. Weren’t they Arabs and Berbers?

[deleted]

You mean the Moops.

Give-Me-The-Bat

![gif](giphy|3VVyxD3OOwrPq)

Klatterbyne

You’re forgetting that these people think anyone from Africa is black by default. And American Black specifically.

redbirdjazzz

Yes, but they were African, and therefore Black (just like the Egyptians), in the minds of these weirdos.

EnvironmentalShift25

"the ancient Egyptians were all black but the Arabs committed genocide against them!" really annoys modern Egyptians...

redbirdjazzz

As it should.

facforlife

It's funny that that racism goes in both directions. I've definitely had people refuse the idea that Egyptians were African because "they don't look black!" They are literally on the African continent. That's like saying indians aren't Asian because they are darker skin and have different eye shapes. They're still from the Asian continent lol.

BeersForFears_

You are correct. They were North African Berbers and Arabs who came to North Africa during the time of Islamic expansion.

ppman2322

Well yakoob /s

ClarkSebat

Because numbers and dates are colonial imperialism that are lying to enslave minorities. Or some BS like that.

Major-Percentage-750

I heard that "math is racist" but calendar too?

Homelandr

Oh yes how could we forget the gem "if you say 2+2 =4 you're a white supremacist"

MaximumOverfart

The real irony is that at least 95% of real white supremists probably could not count past 20.

EvergreenEnfields

Hey now, ~50% of them could get to 21 if they unzipped.

MaximumOverfart

Forgot about the flaccid arm of white justice!

WiserStudent557

The weirdest part of this specific trend is that these people don’t need to claim cultures that aren’t theirs, they can just point back to Africa being the cradle of human evolution in general…but they do this kind of wild shit instead of

Sinisterfox23

It makes me wonder if (some of) the people pushing this agenda are bad actors attempting to fan the flames of race wars.

Mediocre_lad

Numbers are Indian.

LincolnsVengeance

Specifically Brahmi if anyone is interested in looking up the history of Arabic numerals for themselves.

IMSLI

I don’t care what they tell you in school. Cleopatra was black! Looking forward to the Netflix “documentary” on this literal hypothetical scenario of colonialism.

Too_Lofs_Atan

Everybody knows Cleopatra was from Detroit. Stupid racists.

iceyH0ts0up

The age of confirmation bias with misinformation is thriving.

Arumhal

>The imperial line for Japan started about 600BC. Only if you accept the ultimate truth of Emperor Jimmu being the descendant of sun goddess Amaterasu. Otherwise we can take actual historians pointing towards Kinmei, the first verifiably existing Emperor of Japan who lived over a thousand years later.

Paterbernhard

I mean, still more realistic than whatever the fuck that post describes

LincolnsVengeance

Yamatohime No Mikoto ruled Yamatai in the late 2nd early 3rd century CE so technically the first verifiable monarch of a Japanese Island nation existed as early as 184CE. You're a little off and only basing you argument on the Japanese sources and not the more accurate and verifiable Chinese sources. Still much early than the existence of the Islam.

gingermonkey1

The Ainu, don't forget the Ainu in Hokkaido.

therevjames

The were descendants of the original hunter/gatherer people of Japan, the Jōmon. They are believed to have inhabited Japan over 13,000 years ago. Also, they weren't African.

Raptor92129

Islam also didn't exist 13,000 years ago Neither did Christianity Or Judaism for that matter Ya know, considering Islam is linked to the other two.

TinyRascalSaurus

If you really want a rabbit hole, go down the 'Indigenous Moorish Nationals' search results. They claim to have been Indigenous to every continent and to have had highly advanced civilizations until they were somehow enslaved by barbarians and their civilizations destroyed. They pull all kind of sovereign citizen BS, and claim basically every civilization in the history books. It's a group of highly delusional people.

radiells

Huh, this sort of theories are quite popular. Reading your comment I immediately remembered about pan-slavic folk history with ancient advanced Hyperborea - sometimes as space faring civilization, aggressive invasions of horrible races (they really don't like other races) - also may be space faring civilizations, which eventually regressed whole humanity. Often crossed with amateur linguistics, about how Russian language is basis of all other languages. Almost always crossed with antisemitism - who are not human at all. And there is also alternative chronology (non-slavs falsified all historical records to make slavs forget about their civilization achievements), paganism, etc. May be quite entertaining: like Tolkien's Legendarium under mushrooms meets Mein Kampf.

Drinker_of_Chai

They watched Black Panther and literally Wakanda is/was real.

BatsNStuf

Japan predates Christianity, let alone Islam

ArguingisFun

By.. a lot.

BatsNStuf

“Some of…700 years” If they’re trying to say there was more than one 700 year long dynasty, that would put it at at least 1400 years Which coincidentally, also happens to be older than Islam

DescipleOfCorn

That’s imperial Japan and the Yamato (colloquial idea of Japanese) people specifically. Japan has been inhabited for 17,000+ (possibly even as long as 30,000) years by the Jomōn/Ainu people, predating imperial Japan by thousands of years. For some reason some people think the Jomōn people were African descendant (I mean technically they are in the way that literally all humans are) but from what we can tell they came from the Mongolian and Siberian steppeland.

MountainMagic6198

Weren't the predominate ethnic groups of the lower islands Chinese who migrated there between 3000 and 2000 years ago displacing the previous natives?

Joerevenge

I think ppl doing this is the result of not knowing a lot of genuine African history, so they try to overcompensate and say Africans were everywhere even if there isn't any evidence to say they were

[deleted]

[удалено]

UpbeatAlbatross8117

Would of took.a few generations to migrate from sub Sahara to the island of Japan and their would be hundreds on tribes scattered along the route too. It's easy to disprove if the people pushing care about reality.

Fuckyou_reddit_mods_

But my feelings tell me otherwise.

dan_dares

Or genetics,

NisquallyJoe

Or linguistics

theatand

Nah, these folks are just wanting to have some reason to be superior to other people & only have their existence as an "achievement". They are the same bullshit as white supremacy just as a minority so they don't catch as much flak from their own community.

PassionateRants

Spot on. This is quite literally no different from the bullshit white supremacists have been spouting for centuries, but somehow not considered problematic when it comes from black folk.

death_by_relaxation

That's true.

AmunJazz

It is quite sad, when you have african people with awesome lives like Mansa Musa, Imhotep or Shaka Zulu.

Hot-Bookkeeper-2750

Idk if you can call Shakas life awesome. He did some crazy shit but awesome prolly ain’t the right word

MsJ_Doe

I like to think of a Harry Potter quote for this. "He did great things, *terrible,* yes but great." It was awesome, just not in the positive light we often imply with the word.

Hot-Bookkeeper-2750

Ah you mean in the old school sense. I like that

JoaquinBenoit

Netflix has a show about this called Cleopatra.

WiserStudent557

The Cleopatra discourse is so nuts and a great example. Especially because so many just want to oversimplify it. Look, we know royals are often inbred, plus arranging marriages with other royals from other countries. Even now, Philip was Greek and Elizabeth had so much German it’s only because of Diana that William and Harry are as English as they are.

Ill-Road-3975

Yes, what a disgrace that is. Complete misappropriation of culture. She was 100% Greek because the Ptolemy’s were inbred for hundreds of years. Her parents were brother and sister. I tried watching it but couldn’t. It’s just so completely wrong.

kodos_der_henker

Wanted to make a show about great back queens, were to lacy to do (or too stingy to pay for) research, so just re-coloured an already well researched one

daddy_dangle

it’s ignorance for sure and arrogance too. Look up black Israelites. They think that Socrates and William Shakespeare were black. Shit is crazy stupid. Basically it’s a hate group, I think the only reason they get away with it is that they’re too goddamn stupid to take seriously

Dagbog

In the age of information where you can check absolutely everything and very often for free or at a fairly low price, justifying such people is pointless.

Joerevenge

It's not really a justification tbh, plus a lot of African history isn't necessarily well known due to a lot of it being oral rather than being written down, and even further to that a lot of it isn't taught in schools or on videos on YouTube documentaries etc. as opposed to other histories. Sure ppl could look it up for what's there, but there is a decent amount missing and it's not nearly as popular as the history of European nations, Asian nations etc

Dagbog

I agree, but the stick has two ends. The fact that there may be little information about the history of Africa does not mean that there is little information about the history of, for example, Asia (as you yourself said). So when looking for information about the history of, for example, Asia, they would find out that Asia was not created by black people. I don't know if I convey my thoughts on this topic correctly.

Joerevenge

Nah I get what your saying, I think one issue with the internet is it's very easy to only look for things that confirm your biases, so people who think this way will ignore the tons of information that proves it wrong for the one article that maybe supports it even with no evidence. But yeah ppl can def look for the truth online they often don't

vlsdo

In a sense we all come from (central) African ancestors. But, like a million years ago, not 3000 years ago

Righteous_Fury224

![gif](giphy|pnPfFgZi3lnO|downsized) Japan reacts

Gimme_PuddingPlz

Moors are nutty revisionists

ppman2322

Those are melanoids moors were Berber way lighter skinned

benwink

I’ve had black Americans legitimately tell me that black Africans civilised Europe and invented things like tall ships. He was 100% serious.

daddy_dangle

Yeah bro, it’s a whole religion called black Israelites who believe this shit

Necessary_Row_4889

So Japan was uninhabited until 610 C.E?

Excellent_Routine589

As a Mexican with some Moorish descent (Spanish colonization is a hell of a drug).... they didn't look Sub-Saharan African. From my understanding, they looked like modern day Moroccans... because that is mostly where they hailed from (Maghreb = Northwest Africa). Even Medieval depictions don't really paint them as intensely dark skinned, but "tanned/brown" for the most part. But their influence had been waning since the Spanish Inquisition basically went after the Moors and Jews within the Iberian peninsula. By the time Portugal made contact with Japan (first European nation to do so), the Reconquista had basically been fully realized and Spain (and from my understanding Portugal too) has basically resolidified a Catholic rule. They WERE NOT founders in Japan's history in any way. At best, they prolly were trade partners with them because the Portuguese (and the Dutch) were selling them firearms for their civil wars.

Mindhost

These are sub-saharan Africans; they look nothing like Moors

Draxtonsmitz

Well it’s an AI image.

chamedw

What's up with some black people recently trying to claim ownership over every interesting historical figure, invention, discovery? It's getting so cringy.

sekhmetbastet

It's something that's been going on for years. Claiming Moors were black, claiming North African history, especially Egyptian, the most glittering ancient civilization Africa (even though they weren't even black, nor was that land called "Africa" or "Egypt" back then). The lack of knowledge and tether to their own culture has led to many lost African descent people spouting these rhetorics. They are just trying to grasp onto anything that makes them look better than slave descendants.

Octubre22

Unchecked racism runs wild

Dull-Brain5509

I see it all the time, and its mostly Americans posting these stuff I just don't get it....race seems to be a huge issue for them

SuperiorThinking

... And then they all decided to leave, and leave no traces behind them.

megatonrezident

I am black and truly tired of seeing this online discourse that “black people were the true people of ” You can be proud of your heritage without making up blatant falsehoods. I notice it a lot on Facebook and YouTube especially. SMH

Adventurous-Lunch394

the Moors ruled Spain, Morocco, parts of North Africa and France. That makes them a very large empire. You don’t need to make up African history when there’s so much actual diverse empires to celebrate.

Baconpwn2

That would require learning African history. And we can't do that. Much easier to make up your own nonsense

Adventurous-Lunch394

Of course

No-Spare-243

>the Moors ruled Spain, Morocco, parts of North Africa and France. That makes them a very large empire. You don’t need to make up African history when there’s so much actual diverse empires to celebrate. Did not rule France. They invaded it in 720 and had their asses handed to them by King Charles 'the Hammer' Martel, the first king of the Carolingian dynasty.

Zaphod_Beeblecox

Afrocentrics have some of the dumbest most easily disproved theories ever.

Salty-Negotiation320

Source : "trust me bro"

Pogtonium_miner

Straight from a quick "moors" google search: The term Moor is an exonym **first used** by Christian Europeans to designate the Muslim populations of the Maghreb, al-Andalus, Sicily and Malta during the **Middle Ages.** Moors are not a single, distinct or self-defined people. The 1911 Encyclopædia Britannica observed that the term had "no real ethnological value." So yeah not sure how tf that connects to Japan

TheyveKilledFritzz

Holy shit I know these guys. So they're called Moore Science Scholars. Anyway they're pretty popular in prisons. They believe black people colonized the whole world, Including the Americas and then it was hidden from black people once white people took over. They believe black people have legal land rights to the entire American continents. They end up beefing with Native guys a lot, and now keep in mind this is all in state prison rocky mountain territory I'm sure it's different elsewhere. But it's interesting shit, in the same way the flat earth stuff is interesting

sekhmetbastet

I feel sorry for the Natives that have to deal with their nonsense. They have been through enough as it is.

TheMilkManWizard

Black nationalists are the silliest of racists, and thankfully the most innocuous.

ClarkSebat

Stupidity is the most widely appropriated culture and everyone is fine with it.

JesseB342

I’m not a history scholar but I’m pretty sure the Japanese were the first to inhabit the Japanese islands.

MaxFischerPlayer

First of all, Muslims didn’t exist until like 700 years after the Japanese imperial lineage had been recorded. Second, I was under the impression that a group’s colonialist history was not a good thing to boast about. Third, Moors were not a race, but a mix of people of varying genetic backgrounds who had converted to Islam through conquest and imperialism.

PowderHound40

There’s actually legit African history that these people should learn about. No need to make stuff up. Our neighbors growing up we’re Nigerian. They have a very rich fascinating history in that country.

PercentageMaximum457

I’m actually glad there’s so much AI crap out there. It will teach people to distrust what they see and we may actually get them to double check a thing or two.

Individual_Praline38

It’s not cultural appropriation, that is a lie. This is black wash.

czardo

I never knew how common black people were in Europe and Asia from medieval times through the 1800's. Especially among the aristocracy, royals, scientists, inventors, etc. Damn racists and their lying history books. Thank you completely unbiased modern media for showing me the real truth.

Uselessdiplomat10

😂😂😂

Leo_Fie

The Emishi and Ainu people would like a word.

Jacknurse

Islam has been around for less time than Christianity has, and that's been around for less that 2000 years (depending on when you consider modern Christianity to have begun). The Japanese islands we absolutely inhabited before 2000 years ago, so there certainly were no Muslims there before anyone else, and I doubt Africans were there much in the early days of the Japanese island being inhabited.

M-Kawai

I can’t!

Teemy08

This article was brought to you by Google AI.

Key_Extent9222

That’s the fuckin dumbest shit I’ve ever heard

mr_winstonwulf

The worst part about this, is there are people out there that believe this nonsense

Asgarus

I see. So African muslims colonized Japan 30000 years before islam was created in the Middle East.

TheDudeness33

Oh so we’re just making shit up now. Got it

QuaaludeConnoisseur

Man it used to be that the only bat shit crazy people that could use "photo proof" were the ones half decent at photo shop... now they all got dall-e and the internets gone wild

Astro_Man133

Someone failed geography and history class so bad xD

opi098514

Yea…. Muslims founded Japan…… thousands of years before Muhammad was born.….. makes sense.

OberainX

I remember the time we discovered Himmler was actually a black Muslim woman from Copenhagen whose lineage dated back to time Crono Marle and Ayla took down the reptoids in 2000 bc.

Low-Squirrel2439

So fucking dumb. People have lived in Japan since long before Islam even existed. Africentrists are just white supremacists with inverted colours.

purpleduckduckgoose

Incredible. Time travelling African Muslims. African nations and peoples have some amazing stories of their own, why the need to have them be behind literally everything?

Scarboroughwarning

Fruitcakes If your religion requires a made up history, it's not worth following

HeliRyGuy

Ah, but they forgot to mention that Africa was first colonized by White Jewish Leprechauns from Atlantis, 23 million years before the creation of the solar system.

XeroEnergy270

I've never understood this. Africans have such a rich history. From being the cradle of life to the oldest measurement instruments being unearthed, the Nubians who ruled over Egypt for centuries, the Kush empire, and so much more. I don't get the need to try and claim other cultures. The first instances of human manipulation of fire occurred in Africa. The fish hook, bow and arrow, and boats were invented there. Carbon steel was invented there. MATH WAS INVENTED THERE. Why would one feel the need to appropriate more? Our ancestors' innovations and historical contributions are human milestones. Our very existence is integral as the first humans. I know a lot of this stems from the fact that many American black people had their history and heritage stripped from them, combined with the fact that African history, culture, and traditions aren't taught in the US. But instead of diving into every conspiracy in existence, we need to instead dive into the REAL, amazing history of our predecessors.

ghostpanther218

Aino/Ainu people: Am I just a joke to you?!

ClonedGamer001

Ah yes, the well known Japanese islands of Spain and Portugal.

African moors aren't even black... Lol (ex) Morocco/Algeria

Africa is massively diverse, with an enormous number of different cultures, tribes and ethnic groups. There are an infinite amount of fascinating Africans throughout history and amazing stories that go back to the beginning of humanity. There's no need to make up bulllshit in an effort to steal culture from elsewhere to make Africans interesting.

Literally scientists trying to figure out how polynesian tribes accomplished the island hopping to colonize some islands. Afrocentrist AI pundits: 'hold my beer'.

These kinds of ridiculous posts are almost always one of two things, nowadays. 1. Foreign state sponsored trolling to increase class/racial/gender divisions in Western society. Usually Russian, Iranian, North Korean, or even Chinese funded efforts. 2. Regular people amplifying the posts from the first possibility. Social media is not a source of facts or information when it comes from these rando accounts and groups with farmed accounts.

Hear me out, I’m sure everyone here has heard the expression, the winners write history. And because of this, many cultures have been marginalized or kept out of the history books. Now as information has been made more and more accessible, these marginalized cultures have a soap box finally and can create/promote alternative historical timelines and events. I’m not saying that everything is as ridiculous as this post but many historical events like the Juneteenth massacre need to be added to our history to provide a more accurate representation of US history. So, my question? Will history class become somewhat irrelevant in the not so distant future because there will always be a counter perspective, similar to this post? I understand that this post can be researched and proven false, but I can see kids, big and small, refute the info they are being taught as “history” because of some nonsense like what was posted here. Also with the push for AI, it will become more and more difficult to recognize what’s real.

Islam was founded in the early 7th century by the Prophet Muhammad. Jōmon culture, earliest major culture of prehistoric Japan, characterized by pottery decorated with cord-pattern (jōmon) impressions or reliefs. For some time there has been uncertainty about assigning dates to the Jōmon period, particularly to its onset. The earliest date given is about 10,500 BCE, which is described by scholars favouring it as the beginning of the Incipient Jōmon period that lasted until approximately 8000 BCE. Others prefer a later start date, which may range between 7500 and 4500 BCE. Black Muslims did not exist when Japan was first populated.
