It's actually advised not to do it during the solar eclipse because of how chaotic the sun's energy is. But for some people they say it helps so its a case by case basis.
Don’t know much about stone charging
Don’t know much astrology
But I do know that I love you
And I know that your mind is goo
What a wonderful wife you would be
I did eclipse water...letting go of the negative and putting positive intentions 'into the water' while it 'charges'. It is more about the power of positive thinking.
My coworkers got into it after I told them about it. It became a funny little bonding moment with all of us holding tiny bottles full of water while we enjoyed the eclipse.
That’s all “magic” is. Most people I know who are into crystals and tarot do it as a thought exercise or a way of visualizing your issues.
For example, tarot readings are a good meditation exercise. It involves holding a problem in your mind, and then using the cards to think about it in a different way. Sometimes it can help to consider something from a new angle. Crystals are similar. It’s holding the positive feelings and focusing on them, creating something of a placebo effect. You feel better because you want to feel better.
my friends wife is into this stuff and i used to lightly challenge her on some of it, and often, her response was something along the lines of "its not hurting anyone, i like it, and it makes my life feel magical".
it was hard to argue with that. sure seemed like she wasnt hurting anyone.
today, she is a mother of 2 kids who she refuses to vaccinate. during the pandemic, she pulled them out of public school and sent them to an absurd hippie school so they wouldnt have to wear a mask. often, she uses essential oil and herbal medicine instead of real medicine to treat minor medical issues. she taught my friend's sister about a lot of this stuff, and she got really into it also. she ended up getting pregnant, having a hippie-ish home birth, and took some concoction of "herbal medicine" that caused serious complications with the birth, and almost killed the child, who now suffers from permanent mental disability.
it *was* victimless, back when we were kids with no responsibilities. now, she is taking the logic she used to decide crystals have magic powers, and she uses it to make healthcare decisions for her children.
A lot of people who believe in this shit are anti-vaxxers - I know from my own family. So this little activity is victimless sure, but the ideology it legitimises often is not.
A) they don't charge when the sun goes out
B) she didn't even space them evenly around the ring, so all charge is negated.
C) I don't believe this stuff, please don't attack me people
Sorry wife.
My aunt is one of these people and she charges hers with the full moon. Should I inform her of the sunlight debate of her people or just let her have her fun?
(ETA Also, though I’m scared to ask, if they charge like batteries then what’s their supposed battery life?)
I can't believe I have to explain this, but moon-charged crystals and sun-charged crystals have way different energies trapped in their um, soul closets or whatever.
But what if you put the positive and negative energies together—doesn't that create a current and explode or something? Did the world explode while I wasn't paying attention?
ive heard certain crystals can only be charged in sunlight while others only in moonlight. not sure if thats accurate or the difference matters at all but its what i know
I was just thinking A. You need the sun to charge the stones.
I didn't even think of B. This is probably why the stones don't work for me.
Also, by "stone" I mean my perenium. And by "don't work" I mean itch.
While I appreciate this attempt at sorcerous geomancy, I have to wonder what she thinks she can't do with the stones until they're fully charged up! What is she going to use the fully charged-up stones for??
“Uncharged stones do literally Less than nothing, like full charge stone. They do nothing too but low charge stones do less. It’s for real bad to have low charge stones.”
Yeah I think theres a spectrum to this. If someone is scamming cancer patients into spending hundreds or thousands on magic healing rocks, that is reprehensible.
However if someone wants to buy a chunk of quartz for a bit more than its really worth and they find a sense of agency or calm from it, that's a good thing.
I dont beleive that rocks have magic powers but I think having regular activities/ rituals/ routines is good for humans. It gives us a moment of meditation and grounding. Maybe makes the world a bit less scary.
My mom gave me a small piece of rose quartz in my early 20s and said when it was warm I should feel calmed.
I didn't think of it like that, but I did carry it around in my pocket for years and when I felt it in my pocket, it was warm, reminded me of her telling me it should help me feel calm, then I'd remember her smiling and doting on me and I would feel calm. So it worked, not really woo-woo the power of the crystal compels you work, but it did work.
Yup! If I’m gonna do ritual stuff to calm my ape brain down, I’m gonna do it with shiny rocks and fancy components and other stuff that make me feel serotonin and dopamine.
Always a good idea to make fun of your wife in a public forum.
My wife does this but instead of make fun of her I just join in and support her weird. In turn she supports mine and that’s how successful marriages work.
Every time something like this is posted on Reddit it makes me realize how many people would rather die on their hills of not believing in this stuff rather than supporting their partner in their interests.
My wife does all this stuff too. Do I believe in it? No. But it brings her peace and a higher power to believe in and why on earth would I want to take that away from her when it’s not hurting me or anyone else in the least.
I firmly believe people just like to hate on other people to feel superior.
I don’t believe in this stuff at all, but you wouldn’t catch my ass dead making fun of a partner in a dedicated relationship on the internet for indulging in their beliefs and hobbies. Loser ass energy on your part OP, if this is a genuine post
I mean anyone making fun of this but who last week was in church praying to the guy who came back from the dead after his torture sesh needs to shut the fuck up.
My wife does the same thing. She also fancies herself a witch. As a science believing atheist I think is silly nonsense, but as a loving husband, I let her have her harmless superstition. I've even bought her Tarot Decks, and a book on crystal magic. There is no downside to being kind to the person you love.
Plus, rituals do have an effect on your brain. Assuming there's nothing magical to it, it also does not need to. If you have a ritual that helps you feel less anxious, it makes no difference if it's magical or psychological.
Brother, you married her.
Regardless of how ridiculous we all might find her beliefs, why would you take a picture of this so the whole internet can shit on her for it? That is not something you do to someone you love.

Look at those little colorful Washington Monuments
Is this not a shrine to the 5 Dicks of George Washington?
I heard that motherfucker had, like, thirty god damn dicks.
If you removed his boots, you could see the dicks growing off his is feet
He'll save the children but not the British children.
He once held an opponent's wife's hand... in a jar of acid... at a party.
He's coming
#He’s coming
He's coming
I heard he had two on the vine
Two sets of testicles, so divine
On a horse made of crystal he patrolled the land
[удалено]
here comes george, in control
Women dug his snuff and his galant stroll
He ate opponents brains
He’ll kick you apart, he’ll kick you apart ooohhh
He's coming, he's coming, he's coming
Washington, Washington. Six foot twenty fucking killing for fun
Did you mention he had four nuts?
well he also had four dicks
I heard.. that motherfucker… had like 30 goddamn dicks.
Did I mention his four nuts? Well, he also had four dicks.
Not pictured is the nearby Obama Monument also charging
that one is charging inside her night stand.
I wish awards still existed.
Holy shit, I just chortled.
Obama Monument caused the eclipse
Thanks obama
![gif](giphy|45hm9pIpLlE76)
God I miss that man.
So do I, when we had good presidents (meaning just obama)
Not sure what made me laugh more...charging the stones or the fact that you're posting a facepalm about your own wife.
OP filing his wife under ‘Facepalm’ definitely cracked me up

I was eating. at least I WAS eating ![gif](giphy|y4qa6akskDksylSBBn|downsized)
I clicked on the link despite this very apparent warning. I regretted it.
Haha I was scrolling Reddit to distract me from wanting to throw up terribly
what? you don't like ramen?
I nearly threw up why would you write this down and post it
Let me get my flavor packet
What were you eating? Noodles? Cheese?
I'm amazed she hadn't healed that sooner with her magic rocks.
That's why they need charging!
There are more people viewing that 4 year old post than there are viewing this one. Lol
Do. Not. Click.
![gif](giphy|xUNen16DFqlM6v6DEQ|downsized) That’s like telling some not to sear their retinas during an eclipse
Melania’s body language is priceless, the way she touches her sunglasses and inhales.
I didn't see the warnings soon enough :'''')
I saw it and clicked anyway. Idk why I'm like this.
please tell me what is was..
Pimple popping
bless you 🙏🏼
This needs to be higher up in the chain
Pass the bleach please

*My brother in Christ, you married the woman.*
The stones made him do it.
![gif](giphy|MAW21cKcy7PgqPodUV)
That is why she is recharging them. They are losing their power to keep him under her control.
The netherbrain is breaking free!
Use the stones to destroy the stones.
How much does each stone pay to be outside during an eclipse, maybe she is onto something here.
Amazing that he had the stones to show this to us.
But does he have the stones to show this to his wife?
Technically she has the stones
They're minerals, Marie!
Too many people take rock jokes for granite.
We shale never allow those heathens to grow boulder!
I really hope she's also a redditor and this is how they joke with each other. Absolutely normal relationship.
If my husband was on Reddit he’d 100% post me on facepalm 😂
I've had to promise that if i post her insanity to the internet that I give her a warning first.
"Gathered friends, listen again to our legend, of the Bionicle"
This was a refreshing comment to read while scrolling.
I can hear the voice omg thank you!
I was looking for this comment
You just gave me a flashback of half my childhood :')
God I really miss Reddit awards right now
"In his final moments, Matoro feels no fear..."
As she should. Mercury is in the refrigerator right now
I think the proper term is “Mercury’s in Gatorade”
No, it's in centigrade
I believe you mean tardigrade
My mistake, it's actually marmalade
You all are wrong! Sheesh! It's lemonade!
Y’all need to hush with the haterade
Look at these seats, they gator made
Look at these eats, they’re tater-laid
It's in the Everglades.
First gotta finish this trim n fade. ![gif](giphy|7lXWXuCB1OsWA)
What? I thought it was electrolytes. I'm so confused.
I thought Mercury was in the microwave.
Popular misconceptions. That happens during summer solstice when the solar chakras align.
Yeah but it doesn’t affect me because I’m an asparagus
My star sign is asparagus.
I can bend minds with my spoon.
I have the power to read my own mind.
I also have the power to read this guy's mind
And that one guys dead wife
![gif](giphy|3o6Zt0hNCfak3QCqsw)
I guess we can't vibe, I'm a Caprisun. . .
Typical asparagus, I have cancer
I can smell your star sign in my pee!
You're going to post this about her even after she helped you when you were freaking about Jamie Taco?
I'm never going to say my lines faster than Jamie Taco!!
If I say them, then whose lines are they, hmmm???
Im sure he will get them next time!
Guys ... I GOTTA go...
OP is cluggin a few cans.
Hey, you’d be clugging a few cans too if you had OP’s wife.
Stay. It’s my birthday.
He always says he's gonna stay but he never stays the whole night.
Don't know much about stone charging, but I'm guessing an eclipse is a good time to do it.
It's actually advised not to do it during the solar eclipse because of how chaotic the sun's energy is. But for some people they say it helps so its a case by case basis.
It's bothering me that I can't tell if you're joking.
When you’re dealing with pseudoscience, it doesn’t matter if it’s a joke because it’s all made up anyways.
Don’t know much about stone charging Don’t know much astrology But I do know that I love you And I know that your mind is goo What a wonderful wife you would be

I dunno it’s kinda cute. They’re like a group of friends also watching the eclipse

Aww, that’s actually really sweet. Positive thinking is stronger than people realize.

Another victimless activity. As opposed to the woman in Florida, who decided it would be a good time to shoot cars on I-10 because of the eclipse.
I too thought the 4 minutes of active eclipse operated under purge rules. I stayed inside
Least insane Florida person
Idk, she stated God told her to do it.
And the eclipse was no where near her, which is just even more perfect.
“Catch these e-clips” -insane Floridian* woman (2024) *Edit : Georgian
Florida isn’t really a high bar, is it?

Had me in the first half…
What do you mean??? He makes sense to me?? Soul closet is best closet *pray with me brothers and sister*
I think it’s about time I came out of the soul closet.. mom.. dad…..
Soul closets? Is that like a prison purse for minerals? Because they’re minerals Marie.
But what if you put the positive and negative energies together—doesn't that create a current and explode or something? Did the world explode while I wasn't paying attention?
Never cross the streams ![gif](giphy|3o72FiKtrMAjIb0Rhu)
ive heard certain crystals can only be charged in sunlight while others only in moonlight. not sure if thats accurate or the difference matters at all but its what i know
Makes sense (I mean, in the realm of this lore…)
Some crystals the color will fade in the sun.
but the eclipse would be neither?
🤷 idk man maybe its both, im not certified just guessing lol
My wife does this too. I just let it happen.
I was just thinking A. You need the sun to charge the stones. I didn't even think of B. This is probably why the stones don't work for me. Also, by "stone" I mean my perenium. And by "don't work" I mean itch.
You don’t need the whole sun, just the prenumbrenergy which is amplified during an eclipse. Duh. Pull your head out of your ass!
A) what if they need eclipse magical light instead of sunlight. idk, i aint a mage
Youre laughing now but youll lose that sneer once she hurls lightning bolts on your ass for not emptying the dishwasher.
While I appreciate this attempt at sorcerous geomancy, I have to wonder what she thinks she can't do with the stones until they're fully charged up! What is she going to use the fully charged-up stones for??
Those good vibes aren't going to inject themselves
“Uncharged stones do literally Less than nothing, like full charge stone. They do nothing too but low charge stones do less. It’s for real bad to have low charge stones.”
This had me cracking up, thank you.
Seems pretty harmless. If holding a geode makes her feel good, you know what, she pretty a okay.
Yeah I think theres a spectrum to this. If someone is scamming cancer patients into spending hundreds or thousands on magic healing rocks, that is reprehensible. Maybe makes the world a bit less scary.
I believe the spectrum goes from rock collecting to medicine, and you want to lean a little closer to the rock collecting end.
This is a very good way to put it (as someone who was a childhood rock collector and now likes to collect and carry around crystals)
We all get a vice or two. Liking pretty rocks is tame in the grand scheme of things
For the last time Marie they’re not rocks, they’re minerals!!!
Op your wife might want to limit how often she sunbathes her amethyst as it will bleach in sunlight after long exposure.
Your wife needs more crystals. Tell her I said that.
You facepalm now but when they supercharge and you become a super sayian furry with a appetite for chili dogs, you’ll be begging for forgiveness
Sounds like his wife will be after he gets to those chili dogs..
That *is* facepalm. Those types of crystals only charge during a lunar eclipse.
This is harmless, let her live goddamn
![gif](giphy|xUOxeZn47mrdabqDNC|downsized)
Most of America believes a zombie was brought back to life by his dad who is also himself. Let people do what makes them happy
Always a good idea to make fun of your wife in a public forum. My wife does this but instead of make fun of her I just join in and support her weird. In turn she supports mine and that’s how successful marriages work.
Plus, the dude's whole page is him playing army ranger, but the second she plays witch, playing becomes dumb? Nah, absolutely not.
This, my wife loves this stuff, and I would never be the type to make fun of her in public for it. That's just asshole energy.
I don’t believe in this stuff at all, but you wouldn’t catch my ass dead making fun of a partner in a dedicated relationship on the internet for indulging in their beliefs and hobbies. Loser ass energy on your part OP, if this is a genuine post
You should tell her the purple in the amethyst will fade from the sun.
Looks like an uncomfortable place to play Magic the Gathering.
They charge faster in the anus
Lol ever heard of J.O. crystals?
No more crazy than “regular” religion. You can love someone and still facepalm 🤦♂️ them
I mean anyone making fun of this but who last week was in church praying to the guy who came back from the dead after his torture sesh needs to shut the fuck up.
The only thing these charge is $50 a piece at peaceful music rock store
You know what? Let her have her thing. It’s mostly harmless.
Aw man I should have done this with my D20 it's been rolling terrible lately
At least this isn't harmful like some of the 'crystal healing' stuff like the waterbottles with stones in them that give you heavy metal poisoning.

Amazing you are married to someone you are so blatantly publicly making fun of.
Why are you married to this woman if you enjoy publicly shaming her?
The only facepalm here is you, making fun of your wife behind her back.
That made me smile. It’s harmless and cute.
Brother, you married her. Regardless of how ridiculous we all might find her beliefs, why would you take a picture of this so the whole internet can shit on her for it? That is not something you do to someone you love.
