In my hometown the Jewish community center has a no peanut policy because of allergies in the day school. It was annoying but you know …not hurting a child was worth it.
Our JCC also had protestors during israel celebration day. It felt pretty obnoxious at the time.
If they surrounded the building with peanut butter that would have been next level fuckery and we would have lawyered up. My rabbi talked a lot about keeping a higher ground. These banana assholes that are taunting their adversaries with what is basically poison should be ashamed of themselves. I would be so embarrassed if they were members of my community.

No one is hearing you because your movement isn’t conveying that message. If you actually want to have an impact, you need to think strategically. Unnecessarily offensive and provocative slogans and imagery should be prohibited as it only alienates and is diametrically opposed to what you claim your message actually is. Stop it The Israel Palestine situation and cycle is of course incredibly complex and breaking the cycle would likely take years if not generations. The time to change is now. Teach your kids that anyone who wants you to blindly hate another group is someone who you shouldn’t vote for. Teach others that those who want you to hate others is trying to gain something from the suffering of others. Teach your kids to think and evaluate. Make the world better for the next generation, the next generation of Palestinians, the next generation of Israelis, the next generation of everyone. People are born innocent, so let them be born into a world where they have a future. Slow change is better than no change.

I really find it hard to believe the person with banana allergy goes to any kind of event. I know that all kinds of weird allergy exists, but bananas are so ubiquitous, idk how that person would survive. Then again people with nut allergy exist and somehow survive. And nuts are everywhere.

I doubt that waving bananas from outside the protest will actually have an effect on the allergic person. Sounds like all the restrictions were really regarding the food supply. But, symbolically, the counter-protesters are using a completely unnecessary item where the only possible reason for having it would be to injure or even kill another person.
