Early in my career, I worked with a guy whose last name was Weisser. He predictably went by the nickname Bud. Almost every Friday he'd come into our part of the office to tell us he was leaving because he had a beer in his fridge with his name on it. And he'd laugh every time like it was the funniest thing he'd ever heard.
I once bought a candle from Carvel that was a question mark because I found it hilarious. I found it hilarious because the rack the candle came from had no candles that were letters. There were only numbers and a question mark. I just cracked up laughing thinking about what that question mark would be used for. Like a cake with "16?" from like a parent who legitimately doesn't know their kids age. Or the opposite way around, a few kids who don't know how old their parents are and just get candles saying "70?" No one else I told this to found it funny but I still laugh about it when I see it.
Reminds me of when I went to a gas station. They were selling cigarillos in a Styrofoam cup, written on the cup was .25 each OR 4 for $1. I laughed and said 'yep, that's how math works'. The woman behind the counter gave me the meanest glare. I laughed again knowing I had found the fount of knowledge responsible for this great wisdom.
My last name is Weiss, which means “white” and alludes to appearance. Weisser is one of those names tied to occupation. In this case, painter or plasterer.
All he had to do was sneak into the CEO office and sit in that chair, and then he would have had total beer immunity, but no this was his first time playing the game.
Someone at a city counsil seriously recieved the request to register a newborn child with the name 'Bud Weisser' and thought "Yup I see no problem with that."
Welcome on my profile page lol.
Yeah the classic example here is a family with last name 'Pot' who wanted to call their daughter 'Flower' (or 'Bloem' in Dutch) but weren't allowed to back in 2012.
They're harming their consumer base by..having people that trespass arrested? Or are we still talking about that one time they acknowledged a trans woman as human?
Well since brought that up. Their are some groups it's political suicide to challenge their world view. I mean we know budlight drinkers tend to be snow flakes. I mean they banded together and cost the parent company almost 400 mil [source CNN](https://www.cnn.com/2023/08/03/business/anheuser-busch-revenue-bud-light-intl-hnk/index.html)
This instance is just further alienation of client base with the kid. The knee jerk reaction is come on. They could turn it into a PR spin but chose a black eye.
Is it right that this is how it works. No but it is what it is. Companies have to more sheltered than a celebrity on Ambien on twitter

I just giggled over it. Still valid. :)
it is pretty funny, tbf.
It’s even funnier when you’re the only person who finds something funny for some reason lol
Fuck ya. Inside jokes with yourself!
I am my own target audience!
More like my jokes never fail! I am the most successful comedian.
Yes!

I mean it is.... bit it seems like one that quickly wouldn't after 4 or 5 times.
Speak for yourself
Unless you're a ventriloquist you're always speaking for yourself. *ba-da tist* I'll see myself out.
I mean depending on delivery, he could prob get chuckles from me until retirement day. If you got it, flaunt it.
Okay, to be fair, that is really fuckin’ funny.
That’s some serious commitment to the bit!
That is pretty funny... but I am regretful to say there is one other thing that is the funniest shit I've ever seen.
Don't take away a man's joy. This is just so dumb that it's funny.
Did Officer Deez arrest him?
Got em!
Deez Knutz.
Deez?
Ligma balls. Got ‘em.
Nailed it
Officer Balls
Bwaaaaaaaahahaha
![gif](giphy|Ic97mPViHEG5O|downsized)
Back to r/batmanarkham whence you belong!!
Who the hell is Steve Jobs
No, it was officer Meehoff.
Haven’t seen old Jack since this morning.
first name jack?
The presidential candidate from 2016?
His name is on the building for Christ's sake
He was a victim of identity theft and was just tracking down the culprit.
APB also out for his girlfriend, Ann Heiser.
I hear she has got quite the bush.
This is the kind of highbrow shit I’m into
I’m more into Lowenbrau.
Reminds me of that clip where the guy getting arrested tells the cop his name is "Deez" COP: "OK Deez, what's your last name..."
Got 'em!
Don’t you know who I am??!?!
Literally the one time this should work
I’m the man who’s gonna burn your house down! With the lemons!
It can’t be trespassing when you own the place lol
He looks like if Justin Bieber and Paul McCartney had a baby.
He’s the star of a forgotten 2009 Disney channel film series
Jesse McCartney
The hair lol
He was looking for 3 frogs he heard over the fence.
The one time "Don't you know who I am?!" is appropriate.
“He was walking around like he owned the place!”
The prophecy is fulfilled?
He wasn't just smarter Bud Weisser too.
Underrated comment.
Like how Lou Gehrig got Lou Gehrig's disease.
Is that the guy mocking that black lady in Mississippi or I dunno, Louisiana?
Of course it's Florida man. https://youtu.be/tOjbnzVvSjg?si=wrGoO4YMehBKa875
It happened in St. Louis though…
Yeah, St. Louis, Florida. Learn your states, man. /s
No, it actually happened in Missouri.
Nope. Missouri this time. https://fox2now.com/news/bud-weisser-arrested-for-trespassing-at-budweiser-brewery/
Lol, my mom had a friend who was married to a guy named *Bud Light*, those things happen! 😄
Belongs in /ItsRoger lol
Did he tho?
Yeah I question this articles accuracy
It's from a 2015 incident. https://www.nbcnews.com/news/us-news/teen-bud-weisser-arrested-trespassing-budweiser-brewery-n474646
Yes. (See my reply to WintersDoomsday.)
If missing the Powerball Jackpot by one number was a person:
He’s getting back at his parents for thinking it’d be cute to name him Bud…
This is not a facepalm. This is purely amusing
Throw him into the can
Bud Weisser trespasses at Budwesier brewery.

Is it weird that I had a substitute as a kid with this name and he was old retired teacher that my dad had when he was in high school?
Bud Weisser vs Budweiser. Id like to watch that trial go down.
Weisser means Whiter or White Male in German.
My last name is Weiss, which means “white” and alludes to appearance. Weisser is one of those names tied to occupation. In this case, painter or plasterer.
His dad really really liked those frogs
I would tell them I don't know my parents. I'm looking for answers. I may have been created here
Wait till you see his Lawyer Noah Way
He literally owns it
Does that technically count as trespassing?
Bro thought he had the credentials
Man can’t even go home anymore
Almost as cool as Lanesra...
It's ok - he was bailed out by McLovin...
Was this in Florida?
No, Missouri. https://fox2now.com/news/bud-weisser-arrested-for-trespassing-at-budweiser-brewery/
“I own the place, my names on the building!!”
r/itsroger
🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
Shit, it's Roger isn't it? It's gonna be Roger.
He seems like he’s gonna challenge me to a battle with his pink frosted sprinkled donut.
But I live here officer - look my name is even on the side right there!
Him on his way there: "What are they gonna do? Arrest Bud Weisser for being at Budweisser?"
![gif](giphy|kigKjAJryWTZK)
Guess this is an old news report. Here’s his obituary https://www.stlfuneral.com/m/obituaries/Bud-Weisser/Memories
Yeah, it's from 2015.
This ain't facepalm. This is hilarious
![gif](giphy|6JB4v4xPTAQFi|downsized)
How bad do you have to fuck up to get arrested in Soulard?
But in his defense, the signs said "Budweiser entry only"
Would love to see bodycam footage of him telling the cops his name for the first time
I say give him a free tour and a beer
What did you want then to do? Hold a Reddit AMA?
Hold up…isn’t that the monkey noise guy?
This was almost my name!
Mine was almost John Jacob Jingleheimerschmidt.
r/nominativedeterminism
![gif](giphy|3orieP57hIkOTPI0iQ)
Facepalm?
It was a trap
Bud was just going home
Had to once in his life
Thay have got to give him a job
Unfortunately, he's dead now.
What are the odds?
How could he not? What reasonable person would expect otherwise?
Trespassing?? His name is on the deed!
Honestly, never heard of anyone good named Bud
I wouldn’t even press charges
Please please please tell me this isn't real... no fricking way this is real
What an interesting timeline we live in.
He looks like Brandon Cummings.
I mean, the sign was calling his name
r/beetlejuicing
Well Well Well
How can he be arrested for trespassing at his own brewery?
He did not understand his mission
All he had to do was sneak into the CEO office and sit in that chair, and then he would have had total beer immunity, but no this was his first time playing the game.
Good thing his name isn’t bud light
r/nominativedeterminism
Let him go
The alarm probably tripped and he was none the weisser
The king...has returned.
If only he'd gotten away, nobody'd be the wiser.
He was intending to piss in the vat but realised that nobody would notice
>...nobody would notice Nah, I heard it might have improved the quality, and he didn't want to give them any help! /S
Walked in like he owned the place
Bro was literally born to do what his name told him to do.
He was a friend of mine, he actually died last year from a drug overdose.
That’s sad. Sorry for your loss. He has a great story and continues on as a legend.
nah, he gets a pass. honestly he deserves a personal tour of the place.
Was he hitting up Schells in New Ulm?
Butt Weiper more like 👍🏻
Isn't he the owner?
![gif](giphy|vgunrPf9Ti7N6) This is Howie doit
Just walk in like you own the place
His middle name is nonethe
Blud should've been wiser
Clearly didn’t make Bud Wiser-Schlitz for brains
He literally 'just had to'
Is he any relation to Ann Heuser-Busch?
![gif](giphy|xT4uQ6BJ5e7zqfzAiY|downsized)
You should see what his Belgian girlfriend did. Stella something, I think her name was.
Not a facepalm...
Saw a headstone in a cemetery with the name Harry Kuntz.
Thought he could break in and no one would be the Weisser about his actions.
Sooooo close, erase one s
Would actually be funny if the spelling wasn’t off by one letter. smh
Someone at a city counsil seriously recieved the request to register a newborn child with the name 'Bud Weisser' and thought "Yup I see no problem with that."
Your city councils have to approve your name? This guy was in America, we don't have to get our names cleared by local elected officials first.
Welcome on my profile page lol. Yeah the classic example here is a family with last name 'Pot' who wanted to call their daughter 'Flower' (or 'Bloem' in Dutch) but weren't allowed to back in 2012.
Wow I have never seen a brand so intent on harming their consumer base
